[Ha ha, very funny guys. Put the kid from Iowa into a fancy place like this and watch him make a fool of himself.

He's half expecting Stark or Tasha to jump out at him and shout SURPRISE at him or something, followed by Thor dramatically showing up with some ridiculous way to get out of here or Stark hitting some button on his suit and a new Quinjet uncloaking somewhere behind him.

[ Simon's wandering down the hall from the bar, dressed down casually in jeans and a tshirt for the day and eyeing the getup the stranger's currently sporting with an inquisitive look. The Brit arches an eyebrow, curiosity piqued as he gives him an intent once-over. ]

[kate stares for a moment. barton. it could be clint, couldn't it? there was another cap, another loki. maybe he was from their world.

[ It's as Steve's making his way down the first floor corridor toward the entrance hall (he'd been planning on going for a run) that he hears an all-too familiar voice. Barton's always been the kind to narrate what's going on around him if he doesn't have anyone else to talk to, and that sarcastic tone is something Steve hadn't realized he'd missed.

He speeds up his pace into the large entryway to find that he hadn't just been hearing things. Clint's been here before, but it was a while back, which means that any chance of him remembering any of that is slim to none.

The urge to mutter something about language is a little tempting, but Steve figures that he gets enough hell from the team without making it worse. ]

I wish it was a joke. [ He calls out as he steps over to where Barton's standing in the middle of the room. ] But if it is, it's not a very good one.
