[He sighs, briefly, but some of the tension seems to ease, Brennan's attempts successful as they often were.]

No easy way out, no, but we're hardly used to things being easy to begin with.

[Which means that between the two of them, he's sure they can sort something out.]

Perhaps some higher power decided we were dangerously close to growing complacent.

Are we blaming your higher powers or mine this time? [ Brennan asks with a roll of his eyes heavenwards. ]

Perhaps we can just blame Solas and his and be done with it.

[ Someone might still be a little irritated over the abrupt disappearance. And worried. But irritated is easier to admit to. ]

I suppose we can blame mine this time around-- it's my turn, isn't it?

[He's lost track. Ought to start taking notes again-- though he frowns at the mention of Solas, his brow creasing.]
