[ It's strange, being more often out of armor than in it, but Wonderland doesn't often call them to battle in the same way that she's gotten used to. The Warden is dressed simply and more for comfort, though still in the kind of dress of Ferelden, rather than the modern clothes of much of the others in the mansion. Her hair is braided to keep it out of her face and her expression is quietly contemplative. Shutting her eyes briefly, she says: ]

"Your name is etched into my every step. I will not forsake You, even if I forget myself."

[ And then opens them again, taking a deep breath, admitting a little smile. ]

I've yet to find any kind of... chapel, or place of worship. I never thought there would be one strictly Andrastian, but any sort of quiet space for prayer would be suitable. If there is one, I would appreciate the help in tracking it down.

[ Maker knows, she's faced a lot of trials thus far and needs a little more guidance lately than usual. ]

Most of you won't have heard of the Maker or of Andraste, but I don't think the idea of solace in faith is too strange, is it?

[ Lightly, Robyn clears her throat before changing the subject. ]

I mentioned once that I was in an order called the Grey Wardens? Part of that life is nights of very bad dreams. But, I haven't had a one since I've been here, not in all those months. [ There's a pause in which she thinks back, frowning thoughtfully, almost torn between concern and relief at the lack of the nightmares. ] ... We must be far from home, after all.

[ Now that she mentions it... ]

You know, I haven't seen one either.

[ Brennan sounds thoughtful about it. It's not as if he's spent all that much time in a chapel in recent months - being Andraste's chosen came with a lot more responsibility than it rightly should and left not a lot of time for meditation and contemplation. ]

I bet it wouldn't be hard to make one, there's so many empty rooms. And having such a place to go to to think and pray might be nice.

[ ...As long as you don't start wondering if either the Maker or Andraste can even hear them here.

Still, her comment about the nightmares is definitely enough to get his attention. ]

You're too far to hear the call? Well, on one hand, I supposed that's a good thing, right? The last thing we need is a Blight showing up on our doorstep here.

[ Billy is surprised this is the first time he's seen anyone ask about this on the network. Religion and faith seems to be a constant throughout all the worlds he's encountered after all.

Religion was something that was important to him, but also personal and usually he preferred to worship by himself behind closed doors. It made him feel closer to home and his family who he missed.
]

I don't think there is a place or worship here. Usually I just use my room. Or the roof, it can be quiet and peaceful up there at night.

[ He pauses thinking for a minute. ] There are plenty of empty rooms here, you can always set one up.

[ Her answer gets a chuckle from him. ] You've forgotten the rooms are magic, haven't you? I wouldn't know the first thing about building one, I'm afraid - the most experience I've got in that area was badly patching a broken window with a board once. But if we pick a location, I'm sure we can shape one of the rooms into something vaguely resembling one of the chantry's we're familiar with. Even Skyhold had such a place I found myself a time or two.

I imagine you have not. I've seen something resembling an archdemon. It was a terrifying thing to behold. To have it stalk your slumber each night would not be very restful, I imagine.

Are these bad dreams from things you've experienced as a, er, Grey Warden? Or is there something that would be causing them back home? Something magical or...I guess the word would be spiritual?

[Sirius has gotten a little obsessed with any magic to do with the mind thanks to all the research on memory magic he's been doing with James and Lily.]</small.

It's usually quiet up there around dawn. Really peaceful and beautiful watching the sun rise.

[Don't ask why he's up at dawn because it usually means he couldn't sleep.]

I could help if you needed it. I've turned two rooms here into something else. It's just a matter how imagining what you want and hoping the closets get it right.

[It's the first time he's heard any part of the Chant since his arrival and that's enough to make Alistair pay attention. He may not be particularly devout but he does take some comfort in faith and it's not a terrible idea to have a place to go to pray. Even if he'd likely never use it, the option would be there.

It's only when she brings up the Wardens that he finally chooses to respond instead of just listening, switching the device on and nodding in agreement.]

I haven't been having the dreams either. Or anything... darkspawn-ish. I think you're right about there not being any here or anywhere nearby.

[Which is a little strange after over a year of bad dreams and the increasingly frequent sense of darkspawn around him.]

It's a nice change.

[Even if they have no choice but to go back in the end there's no reason not to enjoy it while it lasts.]

So what exactly does a Grey Warden do? [Color her curious, although she's not gonna touch on the whole religion part... Although --]

Andraste has a nice ring to it. Would your chapel or whatever be considered sacred ground? [Not that she's asking for any reason in particular... Nope. Not at all.]

[ More hunters is basically all she heard from that phrase. Although as far as she knew, she didn't fit the bill of a darkspawn. At least, not totally.

When she keeps going, well Ruby isn't about to stop the sharing. If she could learn more about some of the other cultures here, she might just be able to find a few safe spots - people who might not try to kill her on sight...

Again. ]

I just ask because I know there's non-humans here. I'd hate to see them get hurt when aimlessly wandering. [ That's right, Ruby. Make it sound totally selfless. ] Religion plays a huge part in my world back home, so it's always on the forefront of my mind.

[Uncomfortable or not he has to laugh at the suggestion. Wouldn't that be something?]

I don't know, it'd be a bit embarrassing I think. 'Don't worry everyone the Blight just went away'? I'd feel a fool having to go tell all our allies not to worry about raising those armies, the darkspawn decided they'd had enough and went home.

[And on a more depressing note it would feel like all those people at Ostagar had died for no reason. But it's mostly the embarrassment he'd have a problem with, really.]

Me either, but it's not like that's ever stopped me before.

[ His very existence was probably going to stump mages, scholars and historians for centuries, after all. ]

A Blighted one, yes. Although I don't believe it was one of the Old Gods. Corypheus was powerful, but I think that was still beyond him. He was theirs to command, not the other way around.

[Hawke is gonna just. Not touch the whole Chantry-esque thing because haha. Hahaha. Ha.]

The thought of having dreams without the Fade seemed impossible, yet... Not quite the same, but it's telling of how far we are.

[It's very troubling.]

[Sirius returns the smile. It's nice to see people feeling good in this place.]

It's strange how, for some people, Wonderland's almost better than being back home. Almost like it rescues some people. Or, well, it would be if it weren't for how terrible the events can be.

I'm glad it works out for you, at least as far as not having the dreams is concerned.

[If there's one thing guaranteed to ruin any good mood it's Loghain. He doesn't even have to be in the same country to do it.]

True. [For once the anger in his voice isn't directed at her.] But we don't need an army to stop him.

[So long as they had enough support at the Landsmeet they could bring Loghain to justice. He'd do it himself given the chance, even without their support.]
