You could tell by Billie's beautiful new drapery, but some changes are afoot! The bulletin board tells you everything you need to know, and here is a little bit of fanlore on genderswapping, in case you're not familiar with it.

In addition I'll just quickly clarify two things that should be good to know:

1.) For the duration of this event you can either post with your regular account, or post with an extra genderswap account for your icon/overview convenience. If you do the latter, please just remember to leave a quick note on your Activity Check later on, so that any event comments you submit don't cause confusion by multiple account names.

2.) Nonbinary characters! They will be affected by the AU portion just the same, meaning that any binary characters they know will always have been the opposite gender. As for their own swap, however, players can approach that part in any way their players find the most fun and comfortable. Nonbinary characters might not change themselves at all, they might change from nonbinary to binary and identify as either male or female for the duration of the event, they might change within the nonbinary spectrum (e.g. from agender to pangender), or they might change outwardly (from nonbinary masculine-presenting to nonbinary feminine-presenting), to name just a few ideas.

So just to be 100% sure, in this AU would all the characters in their world be genderswapped as well? For example, would lady!Steve believe that Peggy had been a dude all along?

Yes, that is exactly it!

It's a total swap AU, so everyone will think everything in and from every world is exactly as it's always been, inside and outside of Wonderland.

With some very rare exceptions characters do absolutely remember any Alternative Universes, though the memory might feel a bit odd and details might become vague over time, like trying to remember a very elaborate dream. But yes, long answer short, characters will remember the event and their AU history, once the event is over.

Wonderland's events affect all characters, unless the event itself contains some form of opt-out aspect. This one is a complete AU event, so the swap will happen for everyone in-character. OOC everyone is of course welcome to participate as much or as little as they like.

Sirius' girl name is Seren (which is Welsh for star) and, ala Cake in Adventure Time, her animagus form is going to be a cat with the nickname Ms. Cloudbody. At this point I don't have a PB and will just be posting with his normal journal. Seren's personality isn't too different from Sirius'. Ford is going to be... Stanford, still, because as Koji and I have decided, their mother (canon father) was still a horrible parent and thought she was going to have a son. Not two daughters. She has a larger chip on her shoulder re: her identity issues and her looks, but she's ... pretty much the same otherwise. Still has a hero complex, still spent 30 years wandering the multiverse. Oh, but she is more of a hardened spacemom because life was pretty rough for her out there.

England is Rosemary "Alice" Kirkland and of course, still England. She is small and beautiful and full of murder; having had to live as the spirit of a nation in a female body has been absolute hell. Alice is full of dignity and pride and has a better hold on her temper than her male counterpart, but is also more terrifying as a result. She is also really cute and motherly and likes to adopt literally everyone and everything to an even greater degree than Arthur. Alice could also drink you under the table.

Bubblegum is Prince Gumball since her show has freaking canon genderswaps. He's the Prince of the Candy Kingdom and is pretty similar to Princess Bubblegum. He likes science and baking! Comments will be coming from disaccharide once I put icons in it!

Dipper is Dipper Pines lmfao Dipper's not a real name to begin with and girl!Dip still hates her real name. She is also very similar to boy Dipper, only she's like 110% as FIGHT ME as Dipper is, which is saying a lot, since Dipper already wants to fight everything. Where boy!Dip been dealing with toxic masculinity, girl!Dip has had to deal with sexism and being a girl as well as a nerd and a weirdo who believes in ghosts. She also has longer hair, though it's still pretty short, slightly above her shoulders. She still wears the dumb hat. Instead he wound up partnering up with that hot vampire chick from his hometown...
