+ FOURTH WALL EVENT: RECAP AND PARTY FAVORS +

As of this post, our Fourth Wall event is officially over! We want to take a moment and thank everyone who came to visit us, and we hope all of you had a great time at all of our parties, and trying to solve our puzzles. Backtagging is more than welcome, and you can still hit up our ooc mingle if you'd like.

For once, we don't actually need much of a recap! Most of your recap needs can be found at our fourth wall master post. Tomorrow, we will be posting the answers to the clues in the Clue Post for anyone who needs them for IC purposes, or is curious about just how that first puzzle route was meant to go.

"But Mods!" you cry. "What was at the end of the first route? How will we ever be able to figure out which route was which?"

Well, fear not! You guys gave it your best and we're very proud of your progress...and besides, what's a good party without party favors?

As of Sunday September 11th, all of the parties will be gone and the second mansion will disappear. The seasons will also switch from summer to fall, so pack away your bathing suits and get ready to make some hot chocolate! Almost all of the temporary guests will vanish as well, except for those whose applications have been approved tonight. Everyone remaining in Wonderland will receive a gift bag in their room. Each gift bag will contain one form of video storage - some bags will have DVDs, others VHS or Betamax, some characters might even receive a USB for their network device or a film reel, but every bag will have one and a card. The card reads:

Thank you for coming and thank you for STAYING!
And thank you, thank you so much for playing!
Here it is, your humble favor
Something S I M P L E for you to savor.
.............

The various forms of media will all contain the same content - the same, simple home movie:

It's a warm, sunny day, and three young girls are out enjoying the weather. Two of them are seated across from each other, deeply focused on a chess match. They seem to be in a stalemate, perfect offense versus perfect defense, and perfect offense is growing more offended by the moment. The two girls are both clad in red, but distinguishable by hair and demeanor. One is calm, refined, and red-headed, and the other is a brunette tempest with faint heart patterns on her dress. They are familiar faces, though much younger than most are used to.

Nearby, the third young girl is watching and she is clad in white from head to toe, with hair so pale it might as well not have any color to it at all. She seems nervous about the potential outcome of this match, and is nervously knitting and pretending not to look.

"Ugh, this is boring," the Princess of Hearts says. "What point is there to a match where no one wins?"

"Perhaps you were not built for this game if you cannot show patience, sister." The Red Princess thinks a moment more before making her move – a move that puts the Princess of Hearts in check. Again.

The Princess of Hearts fumes red, and impulsively flips the board right off of the table. Red Princess is unmoved, but the White Princess is alarmed and immediately jumps up to begin picking up the pieces.

"What I am built for is Queenhood, and my ability as Queen will not rely on whether or not I am good at a board game!"

The Red Princess does not seem very impressed by this display or intimidated. "You're acting like a child."

Sensing the tension rising, the White Princess gets up and tries to diffuse it. Her poor skirt has grass stains now.

"Sisters! It's merely a game," she says. "You don't need to get so angry...."

To which both of her sisters say "I'm not," though one response has much more bite and venom to it than the other.

Still, the Princess of Hearts decides to sit right on the table and swing her legs back and forth. White Princess is put off by this, since she was about to set the chessboard back on the table, but she says nothing.

"Being a Queen won't be boring," the Princess of Hearts says. "I'll rule over my kingdom with the mighty Vorpal Sword!"

"How do you know you'll receive the Vorpal Sword?" the Red Princess asks, indulging her with some mild amusement.

"Because of course I will!" she insists. "And you will have the Vorpal Shield, and...White will get the Vorpal Yarn, I suppose."

She rolls her eyes, but the White Princess perks up a little.

"I think I'd like the Vorpal Yarn, actually..."

"You would."

"There's no need to be that way," Red Princess says. "If White would like the Vorpal Yarn, certainly that will be taken into consideration. Though, I wonder if the Vorpal Sword would be given to someone so...hm..."

She trails off playfully and her sister takes the bait.

"So what? Tell me at once!"

The Red Princess does not though, and begins to walk away. She knows her sisters will follow though, and they certainly do – the Princess of Hearts chasing her eldest sister, and the White Princess running to keep up with both of them. Laughter can be heard as the film comes to an end.

We're sad to see you go, but you're always welcome to app back into Entranceway, or stop by any of our future fourth wall events or test drive memes. We are what we are because of everyone who's passed through this game, so THANK YOU. Thank you, for helping us reach our ten year anniversary and for celebrating it with us. It really means the world to us all. ♥
