[Excuse the random audio post, but Dorian has something he needs to get off of his chest.]
Well... It seems my birthday is approaching once more.
[He hesitantly sighs.] It's very strange. Before I came to Wonderland, I was sure that at least three weeks had passed...
[Since the incident with one of his old friends. He dare not speak of it, not on the network, but the guilt is trickling back and he needs some excuse to feel it in front of all these perfect strangers. Anything.]
... I don't know. Should I ignore it this year or celebrate it twice? And if I do celebrate, how?
[OOC: Possible content warning for gore. Dorian won't bring it up himself, but he's going to be thinking about it.]

[She sure is talking a lot, but it's okay. It says right here in her notebook that Wonderland is a lonely place, so she should make friends.]

On the contrary- and you may want to write this down- If an event makes you think you are someone else, then there's a good chance almost everything about you would change. I've seen other species turn human, things existing as if they were made in the past, and other things like that.
My guess is that whatever was written in your notebook would suddenly reflect your temporary life, then change back once the event ends.
[Dorian's a bit of a social butterfly. He likes conversation.]
Though, if you wish to be a little more cautious, you could always carry a separate journal for recording events.

[She'll just jot that one down.]
I don't know if I should keep a second notebook though, I might forget where I put it.
[And after another brief moment of silence.]
Or someone might steal it.

If I could make a suggestion, you should ask the closet for a safe with a unique color to it. The safe should be large enough to fit more than one notebook, and you would need to make a detailed note about the safe in the journal you carry around everywhere.
[But what if somebody stole the journal she was carrying...]
Unless you had any better ideas. A better idea would be to have a secret room for your journals, but I don't know if that's possible here.
[Now that he thinks of it, why didn't he get to keep his portrait in Wonderland? Was its purpose rendered completely moot, or...]

[Apparently the same idea occurred to her.]
And if I made a secret room, I might forget it's there. So I just have to hope that no one here would steal my notebook. I can't imagine why they would anyway. It's got nothing to do with them.
[And yet she's the one who brought it up.]

[Note to self, secret compartments are useless when you have short term memory loss.]
If I'm not mistaken, you were the first to bring it up. Be careful with that thing, some people can't help but snoop around into other people's business.
[Even if it has nothing to do with them. People are so nosy.]

[A pause here.]
Except for when I'm sleeping, I sort of have to then.

I'm Dorian Gray. Pleased to meet you, Ryoko.
Now, is it wrong of me to assume you've taken to sleeping with your journal? [He asks jokingly.]
no subject
[...the joke went completely over her head. Sorry, sometimes she forgets her sense of humor too.]
no subject
You probably should. It might help you sleep at night.

Do take care of yourself, Ryoko.
