Yes, it was! We would have warned the mansion about the anomaly, but we hoped no one would be out of bed during the late night test. The building of that portal had some unfortunate social consequences--namely with our nephew and niece--but those have since been resolved.

The use of the portal actually caused an apocalypse at home, though I can also say that the crisis was averted. I wouldn't worry about that happening here, by the way. Wonderland's properties are vastly different from those of my home dimension and I liken this universe to a flexible but iron-clad bubble with extreme surface tension.

You'll uh, have to pardon any hesitation about sharing notes. It's been decades since I really shared those with anyone. My brother had a copy and shared them with another scientist while I was briefly sent home. [Ford rolls his eyes. There is definitely at least one story behind this wall of text, but at least Ford seems to be forthcoming and willing to share.]
