Hee-ho!

[A certain ice fairy by the name of Jack Frost (it's really Minato, I swear!) was in the kitchen, attempting to jump up and down to grab the handle to the freezer to open it. After a few failed attempts, he put his hands on his head as he shook it, then he wobbled from side to side.]

What's a Jack hee-supposed to do, ho? How can I be hee-cool like the King now? A Jack isn't a Jack without ice magic, hee ho. I can't hee-tend!

[The Jack flopped onto his stomach before flipping up to his feet. He flapped his arms at his sides a couple of times as he rocked back and forth from the heels of his blue boots to his toes before going off to pull a chair over.]

But Jacks are hee ho-smart! A Jack like me will hee-think and use his hee-nstincts and ho-tential to be the hee-coolest Jack ever!

[Shh, just pretend I have the most appropriate icons for Minato for this. XD]

[Izanagi!Souji is wandering around and notices this little...demon? doing something silly. He pauses and rests the end of his spear on the tile under his feet.]

What are you doing?

[God or not, Jacks don't really care. But Jack!Minato, however, immediately recognized Souji as...]

Sou-hee!

[Sou-hee could solve his problem. Sou-hee would understand. He made his way over to him and tugged on his black robe.]

Sou-hee, how hee-come I don't have any ice magic, ho? A Jack can't hee-be a Jack without it.

[Souji makes a face at being called Souji, but doesn't correct Minato for now. There's probably no point.]

Have you tried it?

[Have the most :D-looking indignant face ever. Minato relinquished the god's robes, then continued to pull the chair over to the freezer, if just to get to the ice dispenser to play with that.]

Of course I hee-did! Do you hee-think I'd do ho-this if I had my hee-magic, ho?

... Hee-how come my ami-ho isn't helping me, ho? Unless... You're not my ami-ho anymore.

[And then sad face forever. :(]

[Souji watches him, leaning against his spear. He smiles, but it's just a slight curl at the edge of his mouth.]

You called me by someone else's name. Maybe it's you who isn't my ami-ho.

[Minato tilted his head, the pointy ends of his hat bobbing a bit. He looked up and up at Souji. Not good enough. He got up on the chair to get a better look. Still not enough.

He hopped off the chair and tugged at Souji's robes again, not letting go. You sound a little off your hee-rocker, Souji, if you can't remember your own name.]

Then hee-tell me what your name is, ho! It's not a big hee-cret, is it? You can hee-tell me! I'll hee-p it safe and not hee-tell anyone, I hee-swear, ho!

Izana-hee!

[Perfect! A name to pun! God or not, now the Jack was trying to hop up and down and climb up to sit on the god's shoulders.]

...What are you doing, Jack?

[The Jack hopped up again, but those shoulders were way too high up there.]

I want to hee-go up there, ho! I want to see the hee-whole world from your shoulders, ho!

...You're a bit presumptuous.

Hee-sumptuous? I don't think so, ho!

[Minato paused, thinking about something.]

... What's "hee-sumptuous" mean, ho?

[Souji taps Minato lightly on the head.]

How can you think you aren't something if you don't know what it means?

[The Jack nuzzled into Souji's leg and giggled. If that tap was a means of scolding him, then Minato hadn't noticed.]

You won't hee-let me sit on your hee-shoulders, so it has to hee something mean or bad, ho.

This Jack hee-sn't bad or mean! Does Izana-hee really think that?

[Sigh.]

No. I know that Jacks aren't bad. But they think they're bigger than they are.

[Minato was confused, looking up at Souji with the :D still in his expression.]

You're hee-wrong, ho! I wanna hee-sit up there hee-cause I'm not bigger than you!

[Wasn't that the whole point of wanting to see the rest of the world from way up there? It was so high up and perfect, and the Jack only wanted to see. If the Jack were as big as King Frost, he wouldn't have to ask Souji for help.]

[Souji tilts his head, then compromises by picking Minato up and setting him on the counter.]

[This is a ripoff. But well, this will have to do because the Jack would have so much more trouble getting up on the counter on his own. He sat down on it, bobbing his head from side to side.]

... Izana-hee seems ho total-hee different. You hee-seem so unhappy, ho.

Do I? I don't think I am.

Then how hee-come Izana-hee won't hee-play with me? Did I hee-do something wrong, ho?

I suppose I'm not the type who plays much.

[Minato frowned as :D as he could. His head swayed as he held it.]

Izana-hee doesn't like hee-hugs either, ho? I want one, ho! If I hee-can't sit on your shoulders and hee-help you see hee-lly far away, then hee-look at things ho close to you!

[Souji blinks at Minato, not quite surprised, but close. After a moment, he leans his spear against the counter and puts an arm around Minato.]

I'm not blind. I notice the things that are right in front of me.

[Minato held onto Souji's robes with both his hands and nuzzled into him.]

I hee-didn't say you were hee-blind, ho. ... Do you hee-notice things hee-hind you too, ho?
