[Minato held onto his key, a familiar-looking tarot card that shone and glowed whenever he held it, day or night, and he stood on the Tenth Floor in front of the seemingly colossal, golden door adorned with large, darting eyes and barbed wire. His door. The Door.

He was able to find his key, and was told to keep it safe since it would've been stolen otherwise. It really is beneficial to have an ally or two on the other side of the mirrors.]

... Is there something behind here that we're not supposed to see?

[That is, since all these Mirrors were supposedly stealing keys. After a few moments though, he moved his lips, barely whispering, though it didn't seem like he was talking to himself.]

What do you think you'll find?

[Minato thought about it for a moment.]

They have guesses.

Like what?

If it's a way home, two of them want me to go.

What about the other four?

Two want me to stay. The other two will go with anything.

[Jack Frost and surprisingly Orpheus Telos really had no real opinion of their own.]

Do you really think it's a way back?

... Do you want to see?

[Minato stopped himself from asking if it really mattered.]

...Are you asking me to go in with you?

Only if you want to.

[Souji doesn't want to intrude, but who knows what Minato will be facing in there. He might need help or at least support. And to Souji, that particular door represents Minato being forced to do things alone, which he personally can't allow if he can help it.]

Yeah, I will. Give me a minute to get there.

[Minato waited by the door, standing around with his hands in his pockets.]

[Souji joins Minato shortly afterward. When he arrives, he hands Minato an origami butterfly, folded from ornate, thin, blue paper.]

I'm with you.

[Minato held his hand out, accepting the origami butterfly. He smiled slightly as thanks.]

Thank you.

[The feeling was mutual. He held onto the key, showing it to Souji, and paused before opening the door.]

... Ready?

[Souji nods and steps forward to follow Minato through.]

[It almost seemed like an eternity had passed before Minato found his balance and was able to step back outside of the door with Souji.

That strength hadn't lasted too long because once he was out in the hallway, he went to sit down and lean his back against the opposite wall from where his door used to be.]

[Souji was just as off balance. He reached out to catch Minato, to smooth his descent to the floor, but ended up over-balancing and sitting down with him. A soft laugh escaped him.]

[Everything Minato had just seen and experienced pass through his mind and behind his eyelids again. He leaned back, tilting his head back against the wall.

Minato smiled a little when he realized Souji had joined him on the floor. His hand moved to hold onto Souji's hand, and he gave it a light squeeze.

He was about to say something, but he decided not to. He gave it some time before he would speak since there wasn't anything he could really say that would sum up all that he was feeling.]

[Souji leans against the wall as well, not releasing Minato's hand for awhile. Eventually, he looks over at Minato.]

What do they say now?

[Minato was quiet for a moment, listening to them, giving them his full attention. It wasn't as though he never did before, but he seemed hyperaware of it this time.]

They're okay.

[Souji smiles and this time he squeezes Minato's hand.]

Do you feel better about it all?

[Minato nudged Souji very lightly. He nodded because why wouldn't he?]

Do you?

Yeah. I do.

[It's nice knowing he'll succeed and that Minato will be happy.]
