[The Red Queen appears on the network with her Vorpal Shield hanging on the wall behind her. She doesn't sit on a throne, of course--she's not as presumptuous as some Queens--instead she stands, straight and tall. The room she's standing is is completely nondescript, giving away no hints about her location.]

I'm happy to say that I have regained my shield, dear friends, and just in time. Danger is once again coming your way. A crash is imminent.

But there will be a safe haven set aside for you. I fear it may be difficult to find, and it won't be large, but it will be there nonetheless.

[She tents her fingers together, looking pensive.]

It is...the best that could be done.

[...Considering how well it'd worked out for him the last time he'd responded to one of these things, Jesse almost ignores this one. He isn't really in the mood to be accused of-- of influencing baby trees or whatever that other lady had accused him of, but even so, his curiosity eventually gets the better of him.

Uh, so... What's that mean, 'crash'? Another event? And what's with the shield, yo,if there's some kinda crap coming coming our way shouldn't we all get one?

[His tone is a little bit less... Unsure than it'd been with the Duchess: when in doubt, act tough. The motto's served him sort of well in the past...? It's not rude exactly, just... He's on edge.]

[The Red Queen certainly notices his posturing, but gives no indication other than raising her eyebrows just slightly.]

This is the Vorpal Shield, Jesse. It is impenetrable. And it is the only one of its kind.

[Well, obviously she does... STILL. If she knows his name he's pretty sure she can work out what he means.]

You can't just say there's going to be a crash and leave it at that. The best that could be done? What does that even mean?
