Finn? Where-
[ There's a pause, and Quinn looks around her. This wasn't Finn's house, or really any house. She was in a kitchen but outside of that was a long corridor, and a feeling of being lost ]
This has got to be the worst day of my life.
[ Oh, hey Wonderland, were you low on your daily dose of teenage drama? This one comes with the signs of already shed tears and the threat of more to come ]
First I- I've lost everything. And now- Now I'm here? This can't be happening. It can't, I- [ And there's another tear, and another two. A sniff to go with it, and then a quieter voice when Quinn speaks again ] Where am I? How did I get here?
[ There's one more pause, and a heavy swallow ]
What's going to happen to me?
[ That was all for now, at least over the device. If you're nearby? You might get more than you'd bargained for if you say hi ]

[Nothing like someone crying to make you feel uncomfortable but also like you need to help.]
Hey, it's okay! You're okay here! [...Er, for now. But he keeps his tone light and careful, an effort at comfort.] You'll be completely fine. Everyone here is friendly, for the most part.
video;
[ Quinn tries to sound as questioning, as harsh as she can make her words sound but beneath the tears it's difficult and doesn't have the desired effect ]
How can you say that?
video;
[He's a little taken aback by the question at first, but thinking about it, it's understandable. It's hard to believe anyone here is very great when you first arrive and don't know who brought you.]
We're all in the same situation, all brought and trapped here against our will. There's not much reason for us to not get along, or anything.
video;
[ Although considering that she came straight from high school it could have been slightly different. But it still happened after school ]
Not everyone.
video;
[This isn't exactly a conversation he expected to get into, but if she thinks so ill of people and their abilities to get along, he'd like to try to convince her that not all the people here are bad. They really aren't! And admittedly, it's kind of sad to see someone so young set in this sort of mindset.]
Not everyone, sure. There are always ones that won't, but I personally haven't met any yet. Not here.
video;
[ It would really be nice to but why were people still there if there was a way to get out? And there had to be some that would just find the answer and screw everyone else ]
video;
[How to even explain this better??? He's starting to get a little mixed up, and the criticizing questions are making him fumble. Working under pressure is never something he's been good at.]
Okay, I do think most of the people here are decent, yeah. I think the majority of them want to help everyone out and work together where we can. Happily getting out of here, that seems less likely. Getting out of here at all probably won't happen. But I don't think it'll necessarily stop people from looking. Meanwhile, there's not a whole lot of point in making life here more miserable than it already is, so I don't think many people are likely to cause trouble. That's all.
[Aaaaand inhaling because he was maybe speaking a touch faster than he needed to in a rush to make his point.]
video;
[ She wasn't going to work on that she was going to... avoid things ]
I don't think that not getting out of here will make people happy. Or keep them happy.
[ So, basically, anyone happy will be miserable and maybe cause trouble. Or so she thinks ]
video;
[That's a little more blunt than he wanted to be about this, but this is officially getting mildly frustrating for him. How thoroughly does he have to explain this? And why does she think so poorly of people, anyway? With a sigh, he shakes his head.]
And you're right, not getting out of here isn't going to make people happy. Nobody said everyone was happy. Just that we can function like rational and kind beings. Not everyone's an asshole, you know.
video;
What do we have to be kept alive from?
[ Was there a crazy murderer here? ]
video;
[Whoops. Now he feels bad. Shifting awkwardly, he glances away from the screen and...tries to figure out how to put this. And how to be less blunt about it.]
Wonderland isn't exactly...safe. It can be most of the time, but, uh. Every once in a while, it runs these event things for a few days. Anything can happen. And I mean anything--some really ridiculous things have happened since I got here.
[Things he still doesn't want to believe are possible. Like zombies.]
It can get dangerous then. Sometimes they're not as bad as others, but a lot of them... Kind of the opposite of safe.
video;
[ There wasn't much time in there, and Santana had been more focused on calming her down and settling her than giving her everything, clearly. But that has possibly been better ]
Look, whatever you were just trying to reassure me of isn't working. [ People and Wonderland might be two separate things but she didn't like the sound of either of them ]
video;
[After the calming down and whatnot, of course. He totally figured someone else would have beat him to explaining...]
Which? The fact that not everyone here is horrible? [Somehow, he's still surprised that she still doesn't believe him. It's likely she's never been in such a life threatening situation before so she doesn't know how it can pull people together, but the fact that she still hasn't been swayed even the tiniest bit...] Why? What has you so set against humanity?
video;
[ Sometimes their friends but they will also spit you out when you're no longer part of it. Like she was ]
You may as well just give up.
video;
[Not giving up, not just yet! He's determined here! Frustrated as he's growing, he can't just let it go. Maybe he's more stubborn than he needs to be, maybe he should just give up, but...]
Have you really never seen someone do something completely selfless? Someone going out of their way to help someone, even a complete stranger?
[Huff.]
Where I'm from, I joined the military so I could help people. My teammates and I put ourselves in danger to protect everyone we can. We're not doing it for us.
[Okay, maybe it's a little for them too, all for different reasons, but still. Saving humanity is the biggest reason. Punch a hole in that!]

Fine. I officially give up. [Dramatic throwing of his hands up into the air.]
I don't know what happened to you to make you so cynical, but I feel sorry for you. Can't be easy to keep going if you always believe the worst in people.
