[There were only so many distractions that could keep a small child, especially one that got bored very easily, from realizing that he still wasn't home and he still hadn't found his parents.

Leo had ended up back in his room, huddled on the floor in a pile of blankets and piles with some of the cookies in front of him, eyes red rimmed and full of tears even if he looked angry.

As angry as a five year old could look, that is.]

I want to go home.

[There.

Straight to the point, leaving no room for arguments.

He sniffled, reaching up to rub at one of his eyes a bit, the five year old reaching for a cookie afterwards then pausing, pouting a bit.]

[ There's a startling number of small children on the network today, she's noticing. A new event? But not everyone's a kid... Hayley's not sure what to think about this. Unless Wonderland's being particularly cruel in who it's kidnapping this week.

Still, this one grabs her attention and she flips open a video feed, because being stuck here is hard enough at her age, let alone when you're smaller. ]

[Unsurprisingly, Leo doesn't recognize the person that contacts him and it has him turning a little shy as he peers at her, nibbling on a cookie still.]

...I dunno.

[He hesitates then sets his cookie down and grabs the device, turning it around a little wildly to somewhat show her his room before it's a close up of his face as he practically presses it close to tip of his nose.]

[ His answer has a smile tugging reluctantly at the corner of her lips as she gives a soft chuckle in reply. ]

I do see, it looks like you found a bedroom. I can come find you, maybe we can find someone familiar for you, one of your friends. Can you do me a favor? Can you see a big door that leads out to the hallway?

[onthefitz]

[The little boy blinked then looked away, staring at the door before he nods.]

Mhmm.

Alright good. I want you to go out that door and stand in the hallway to wait for me. And if you see a little sign by the door with a number and your name on it, can you show me? That'll help me find where you are, alright?

I'm not sure how much I can help with the 'home' part but maybe we can find some of your friends or family. Would that be alright?

[The little boy considers everything for a moment and he nods, startingt o push himself up and dropping the comm device in the process. When he scoops it up again he's got it pressed against his blanket so the view is a dark one for a moment as he shuffles his way to the door but he follows her directions as and points the device up--

A little too high towards the ceiling.]

[Baelfire makes a great effort to reply to this. It requires every lesson he's ever learned about the magical talking box, which mostly amounts to which pictures to press to make it do what he wants. So when he first replies, the video shows a boy deeply focused, tongue poking out at the corner of his mouth as he tries to decide if he's done the right thing.]

Hello? [He turns the phone over, except that's not how you check if it's working, so a second later it's back to showing him.] Can you hear me?

[It's like a parrot miming someone the way he responds, head tilted as he stares at the young man.]

He smiles at the boy, not at all put off by the question.]

My name's Baelfire. Who are you?

[It's said almost shyly, the little boy waving a bit.]

[ Phil isn't sure what to do about any of the kids, but it's different when it's someone he knows and who he is admittedly somewhat protective of to begin with. He recognizes the accent before anything. ]

Are you in your room?

Hi!

[This man knows his name. Maybe he's one of his dad's friends from work or something.]

No, this isn't my room. I don't have my toys.

[Yes, it's his room here in Wonderland.]

Do you know who I am?

[ He's already moving towards Fitz's room from his own, but he wants to keep him on the line. ]

[And he looks happy about it all the same.]

Hi. My name's Phil.

[ He knocks on the door. ]

That's me outside. Let's see about getting you some food.

[Leo looks pretty proud for having put that together before the look changes to a curious one at the knock.

He shuffles over to the door and tries to reach the handle but can't quite grab it, looking extremely distraught.]
