[if wynonna had any close friends here yet she might ask them but she doesn't so she's going to try that anon thing she's seen other people do and try to play it cool.

she'll probably fail and it'd be pretty easy to figure her out if you've talked to her and/or her boyfriend who is actually doc holliday enough]

so. say you're dating someone who is kinda famous. like there's books written about them. and say you know something like their birthday from those books and not them. do you do something?

and if you do like what's the appropriate gesture here? cause i'm kinda at a loss.

[has she ever celebrated the birthday of someone she's "dated" before? her own birthday last year was....pretty bad between curtis dying and the curse triggering and waverly shooting at her so it's not even like she has a frame of reference to work on]

i mean maybe they never told me because they don't want to celebrate. but what if they're hurt they figured out i knew and didn't say anything?

i'm really shitty at this.

Well, I don't know if this would interest you-- ( that's a lie. she knows it will ) --but I happened to know a few things about that time. Including their 'old timey' attire.

[and it's not long until wynonna makes her way to the room she was given, knocking on the door.]

( the room's empty when helena opens the door, with the purpose of it being to show wynonna things from the closet rather than actually use the room )

How detailed do you want this to be?

[wynonna shrugs her shoulders a little as she makes her way in -- clearly not the woman's actual room but that's probably smart. shouldn't be giving out that information to strangers and all that.]

I dunno, detailed enough, I guess.

( there's a nod, and helena brings her hands together as she thinks for a moment. she doesn't know how the americans would have dressed though she suspects it wouldn't be too far removed from her own past experiences )

I'm not considering a colour, just a style.

( she trusted wynonna to figure that much out herself, she was just giving her ideas. moving to the closet she thinks a little more before pulling something out )

Probably for the best. Don't think virginal white is a color I can pull off. Not convincingly anyway.

[wynonna was many things but virtuous and pure wasn't one of them. still, she takes the corset from the other woman to inspect the style a little more.]

It's also a little boring.

It's a little frilly, I gotta say. [which might be an issue with a lot stuff -- her taste in clothes don't exactly align with older stuff.]

Though how much of an issue will he have with it?

He probably doesn't mind the frills as much as I do -- and he likes blue on me. [because in his day that was the more feminine color, not pink.]

We could always find this in blue.
