Hi! My name’s Jon Kent. I’m looking for my mom and dad. My dad’s name is Clark, and my mom is Lois. My dad looks a lot like me, just bigger? My mom has brown hair. I’m sure they’re fine, but I haven’t been able to find them yet.

( the grin shifts into something a bit more sheepish, free hand raising to adjust the big, bulky glasses sitting on his nose. )

And uh. . how do I know which room’s mine? Why are there ogres outside--?

I don't think your parents are here yet, though they might show up in the future. In the meantime you can take any empty room. It'll change to match what you want.

Pretty sure, unless that guy never goes home. I've been here for a year and still haven't seen the owner.

Usually he's off causing trouble somewhere, so. .

Huh. Does it normally match up with Alice in Wonderland? Can he travel between alternate universes?

He's a fifth dimensional being, so he can pretty much go wherever he wants and do what he wants.

[tattooedredheads]

It's possible, then. [He's not sure if that helps anything at the moment, though.] But far as anyone here can tell, we're in Wonderland. It nabs people for a while and returns them home at the same time they left without any memories of this place. When you get home, it'll be like you never left.

So we'll go back home eventually and it'll be like nothing that happened here ever happened at all?

Yep. I've gone back once but no one noticed I'd been gone and I didn't remember it. Once I came back, all my memories returned.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad. .

It's good if time is an issue for ya or if you don't want your parents to worry. [Not so good is the fact that this kid is all alone for now.]

Do you have someone who can help you out while you're here?

( if his dad doesn't realize that he's missing, how is he supposed to break the time and space continuum to come find him. really, it's a little more inconvenient this way. )

I'm okay, I can handle myself. ( it's not quite a yes or a no because he's--not quite sure. he has people he's familiar with, but that aren't familiar with him. and then there's damian, who's just a jerk. but jon's pretty sure he'll be fine regardless. )

I’m uh, right outside of the castle? I thought I’d go explore, so.

( he twists the camera to face behind him, showing the door leading back into it. obviously, he hadn’t gotten very far in his exploration yet. but considering the ogres right past the barrier, maybe it’s for the better? )

[Someone's gotta find this kid adult supervision if he does that kind of thing often.]

Right. Try not to get too close to the ogres.

[It's takes Kay a couple minutes to get down there, considering that he was on the eighth floor.]

Hey kiddo. Let's get back inside. You can look around out here in a couple days.

( it's not as if he can't take down quite a few ogres on his own, but that's probably beside the point, isn't it. also: definitely not relevant. at the very least, he doesn't go anywhere when he knows that someone's coming down to meet him, so. jon waits for him to show up, leaning back against the building close to the door. he steps away from it pretty fast when kay tells him they have to go back inside though, and starts moving towards him. )

Okay, I got it. ( even if he wants to look around outside, he's not going to directly disobey someone who tells him otherwise. manners and all. )
