[The woman who appears on the feed might be familiar to a few people. She's sitting at a table or a desk and facing the camera, composed, but a little worse for wear. She looks tired.]

You sure know how to make a girl feel at home. [Not that she's faced frost giants or dark elves before, but dropped into the middle of a fight she wasn't expecting and wasn't prepared for? One that probably should be left to gods and super soldiers? That is familiar. The last two days haven't been boring] Is that normal?

[Natasha taps the table in front of her twice, drawing a slow breath as she considers how she's going to play this. If putting her face on the network is a mistake, then she's already made it.]

I think I'm ready for the welcoming committee now.

[That response is far more pure than Natasha expected. She hadn't calibrated her introduction for children. At least not for children who reacted like this.

He'll get a smile out of her, though a reserved one.]

Well. Nice to meet you too, Jon. [She leans toward the camera a little, her arm crossing on the table in front of you.] Seems safe to say you don't have anything to be sorry for in that.

No. I just got here the other day--there were ogres outside, swarming all over the place. But at least those ones stayed outside. .

( which were a lot easier to deal with, since they were all in one area and really easy to attack without worrying about hurting any innocent bystanders, since they were the only ones there-- ) Do you need any help? There're some superheroes trapped here, too.

Are there? [She can't keep some wryness out of her tone at that. Who would have thought? But she does have to wonder who he's talking about.]

I few bumps and bruises, but I'm fine.

[She tilts her head a little.]

You know a lot of superheroes?

It's a little hard not to, right? They're all over the news back home. .

( he's a really bad liar, so he settles for half-truths instead. yes, they're all over the news, but there's also quite a few he's personally familiar with. )

Supergirl and Superboy're here, and so's Robin.

[Natasha can't say he's wrong, though the heroes are different. She won't push him about who he knows or how.]

Sorry. I've never heard of them. Sounds like they're big names where you're from, though?

They're pretty cool, but Superman is the best. ( there's an immense amount of pride in his tone--but also, who hasn't heard of superman? )

What Superheroes do you know? And are you sure you don't want help? I could come find you, if you want.

[Oh, kid.] I'm fine. Promise.

Captain America. Iron Man, I guess... [Superhero is a complicated concept. If Natasha was honest, she'd admit she wasn't sure she bought into it. But here they were.] Sorry, I don't know Superman. Sounds like an impressive guy?

He's an alien from a planet called Krypton that was sent to Earth when he was a baby because his planet was dying, but his ma and pa wanted to make sure he survived. He's really great. He's stopped meteors from hitting the planet and hurting a lot of people, and has stopped space invasions. . He has super strength, hearing, sight, heat vision, he can fly, and other stuff.

I haven't heard of your heroes, either. Kara says that there are a lot of different Earths though, so maybe we came from different ones with different heroes?

So I hear. Different worlds and different times. Sounds like they tell all the new kids about the same thing.

[Natasha leans back again. Giving his description clear thought, asks the obvious question.]

So Superboy and Supergirl, are they the same? Refugees from another planet?

Supergirl is, but Superboy. . ( lifts his shoulders in a small shrug; it's not publicly known knowledge, so he won't say it. )

The Superboy here's different than the one back home, too, so. You would have to ask him.

Maybe I will, if he wants to talk to me about it. Seems like it would be a good idea to know who has powers like that, or skills like that. [A little head tilt, brows raised, nodding very slightly.] In case something like this comes up again.

Maybe they can all make a Super-Alliance, like the Justice League!

( clearly this is a good idea, right? there was a reason there was a justice league, after all. )

[Natasha might laugh at that. She can't help it.]

Justice League, huh? So that's—what?—a bunch of people who are aliens or enhanced, get together and fight off aliens and giants and such?

There're a lot of people who aren't aliens or enhanced in the Justice League, too. Like Batman! And Green Arrow, and Nightwing, and a lot more.

But they all work together to keep the Earth safe.

Sounds nice. [She says that honestly. It seemed like a good idea. Still did.]

These heroes really are a big deal where you're from. I'll have to keep an eye open for them around here. The ones who are here, at least.

I'll let you know if I find any more later! I haven't gotten around much yet, so there's probably more. . somewhere!

Maybe you'll run into some of them from my world. I hear there's one or two of them running around.

[Somewhere. It's a mystery where they might be. Natasha might regret this later, but she'll cross that bridge when and if she reaches it.]

I'm Natasha, by the way. I don't think I mentioned that before.

Natasha. ( he repeats back, giving a small nod of his head. )

I'll keep an eye out for your superheroes. I bet they're really cool.

Actually, most of them are kind of dorks. [Said in an absolute deadpan.] Don't get me wrong, they're good at the saving the world thing when they have to be, but total losers.

Haha, really? Do you know them personally?

Some of them. Some of them more than others.

Are you friends with them?

[Even if Natasha were interested in being forthcoming, that's not a simple question right now.]

Maybe. You'd really have to ask them.

. . so I should find an Iron Man and a Captain American and ask?

If you can find them. Captain America is around, at least.
