I'm curious to find out just how many people here are from what would be considered older time periods. I'm from 1912 myself, and I've met a few people from before that or around that time, but I think there may be more of us than I originally assumed. Perhaps we could start a club to catch up on culture and technology that we've missed?
The reason I'm asking is that I found a photograph in my room, an old daguerrotype in a nice frame, of a woman and a little boy. Their clothes are from probably fifty or sixty years before my time. I don't think it's right that I post a picture of it to the network asking whose it is - I understand how personal photographs can be, and I wouldn't like something so personal of mine aired for everyone to see - but I just wanted you to know that if it's yours, I have it, and you are more than welcome to come and retrieve it.

Can you describe the picture please?
[text]
The picture is of a dark haired woman holding a child of around three or four years in age. It's in a golden frame.
[text]
I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with either of those people you described. Perhaps the picture might belong to some poor girl's husband?
[text]
I hadn't thought of that. It makes sense that it would be the husband and father of the people in the picture. In that case I must make sure it's returned.

There's an underbelly too, as I'm sure most places have, but I've seen beautiful things while riding through the countryside.
Have you had any luck finding the owner of the photo?
text;
Yes, I'm going to meet him at the bar to return it.

Sadly, I don't think the photograph is mine, though the idea of an organization of those of us that aren't as technological advanced as some seems a wonderful idea.
text;
You really think so? I'll try to organise something, in that case. Perhaps I'll ask around as to what moving pictures we ought to have seen by now and set up a time for all of us olden times people to watch them.
text;
I do. And maybe to help those from our time periods as they arrive here as well. I know the device for one was tricky for me when I arrived. Oh that's a good idea. People keep recommending them to me and I have no idea where to start.

so you got some rando's ancientass photo huh
[text]
In a manner of speaking, yes. I'm hoping to reunite it with them, it feels rather odd suddenly coming into possession of something so personal.

[Why is she so frustratingly nice.]
what if whoever it belogns to isnt here like theyve gone home or ssomething

I hadn't thought of that. In that case I suppose I'd just keep it safe in my room somewhere.

and that was for the best.
it's because of elena who talks him into responding to this, because she knows he'll regret it otherwise, because she understands his complicated relationship with his mother (at least in part, she doesn't know what his mother ends up doing- doing to her). it's also because of the number of people all asking to see the damn thing and the fact mysteries are running amok, and maybe everyone will get to see the childhood photo of him with his terrible mother. )
It's mine.
( he's off to a great start, ahem. )

[ She knows she should probably ask for proof that it's his, but a family picture struck her as a strange thing to lie about owning; it would only have significance for the person who it belonged to. ]

He should. A nicer person, they would do so, but Damon... can't. Not about this. )
Do you know the bar? The new one?
