His rooms. But they're empty - completely empty - so I anticipate that finding him will be more fruitless than successful.

perhaps that is for the best. wonderland is no place for a child.

[Evelyn is aware he isn't trying to sound insensitive; Henry has no idea what faces her family back home. That Alex was in danger before he arrived in Wonderland.]

[God. God, it galls her to say it. Knowing what she knows and how she feels. His place is with his mother.]

Then I hope I do not sound callous or presumptuous when I say that you cannot possibly understand what the loss of one's child feels like. That rational thought regarding their safety is attached to their proximity to you. That not being able to hold them is heartbreaking.
