[When the feed comes on, there's a bit of shaky cam before Fiddleford has his device set up just the way he wants it. He tries to straighten his hair out a little here as he adjusts his glasses.]

So, ah, it just sort of occurred to me today that I've been here for quite a while now. In fact I think it's been about a whole year now? Ha, time sure flies when you're... well, not havin' fun per-say, given where we are, but--anyway, you know what I mean.

[His glasses slip a little and he forces himself to re-adjust them again.]

I... I feel like there's somethin' I should tell ya'll here 'bout that but... come on Fiddleford, you're on camera, th-this is just... terribibble to suddenly--oh, that's right: it's gotten me to realize just how little work I've actually gotten done here? There was that arm of Stanford's which he doesn't really need anymore, thank heavens and some, ah, smaller stuff for other people, but I'm lookin' for new ideas of things to tinker with and build. Somethin' that could really be of help to everyone here.

[He then turns the feed's attention to a little blackboard set up behind him... before remembering that he has a blue-print of what appears to be some kind of giant robot monster with the tag-line "current idea: design a pair of wings so that giant robot can fly away from wonderland" and quickly pulls that down and off-screen.]

So! If ya'll have somethin' that you think would be handy to have and would like to have built, just tell me and I'll jot it down to get started on inventin'!

[As for what that sudden lapse in memory was, WELL...]

Heeeey! Why'd ya take that blueprint down?! I wanted to see the giant robot!

[And bother McGucket with a bunch of questions so he might get a feel for how out of it this weirdo really is.]

Oh, uh... sorry, it was blockin' the board to write on here. 'Sides, it's still just a work in progress.

[But I mean if this kid really wants to see it, he'll adjust it so that it's in the corner and not blocking his writing?]

[He looks at the tag-line on the blueprint here.] Woah... It looks really cool, but...

Don't you think just flying out of Wonderland would be too easy? We were kind of teleported here, so maybe there might be an invisible wall or something.

Well, there's already been at least two attempts at buildin' an interdimensional portal here, and those went about as well as puttin' a fox in a hen-house.

[In other words, very poorly.]

So... How are we making the jump from advanced portals to the unknown to monster robots with jet packs?

I'm not seeing the connection here.

Well, I was just thinkin': maybe there's some part of this dimension outside of the mansion here that no one has discovered yet. And maybe there's somethin' there that could be the key to helpin' people find a way back to their own dimension from here.

[He thinks about it for a second.]

Wait, if we have people from other dimensions, does that mean we have people who can fly?

You're a scientist? What sort of things do you invent?

[She has a pretty longstanding rapport with scientists, especially robotics types, even if her last partnership didn't work out... super great. Even as she greets the camera, the top of a silver and blue journal can be seen, where she appears to be writing something down.]

Well, I mainly have a reputation for computers and robotics, but I've also built heavily encrypted security systems and weapon. Then there's the occasional side project for somethin' that just might be fun to do, like an electric banjo, or a coffee maker that can also function as a toaster.

[Oh. Well, that could be interesting. Certainly not a bad partnership to have.]

A coffee maker and toaster? Interesting. What sort of robotics have you worked on? I've seen a fair number of them in my lifetime.

A lot of the bigger ones have mostly been in the design phase [like that giant monster one] but I've built some smaller ones in college to do simple tasks like fetching objects from other rooms or cleaning up a little. Then there was Stanford's arm, which Alphys and I worked together on to provide as a replacement for the one he lost back... um...

[A pause.]

... Durin' one of the events. But then he got the real one back and doesn't need the metal one anymore.

You've done a functional prosthesis? That's complicated work. Though I suppose with infinate access to materials, the work would move much quicker.

[She taps her pen on her chin, thinking for a moment.]

If you're looking for something to do here, I do find myself surprised no one has set up some kind of defense system of any kind yet.

Well... I actually have a prototype for a security system that I've been workin' on to help keep out intruders from one's room and the labs for my friend and I. Perhaps if I can find a way to implement that on a greater scale...

[That's... sweet, and also unwarranted because oh boy have we not done anything lately to deserve people's trust--]

So, do you have any ideas of somethin' you want then?

Oh, well... an X-Ray machine would be good, for starters.

[mcgucket]

Oh, that's a great idea! [He's making a note of that now on his board here, as he writes a couple equations next to the suggestion regarding calibrations for an x-ray device here.] Is there any thing specific you want to be able to do with this particular X-Ray machine?

Isn't anyone looking for you? I mean, people have to be looking for you.

Ah, well... the only person I know of who might've noticed somethin' like that and would look for me is kinda already here, so...
