[ The video clicks on to show Billy perched on top of a set of high bars in the training center. There’s something different about him, something that maybe can’t be identified right away- three years can be packed with a lot of changes. There’s a certain confidence about him, a more seriousness to his face (and some muscle he previously didn’t have. Someone clearly spent a nice chunk of time at the gym). He’s looking out at the room before his eyes find the camera. ]

This training center was set up three years ago by Natasha Romanoff and Steve Rogers. It was a place to train, to spar, to hone abilities that might be a little more than average. For a little while it was a place for the Avengers to train.... We’re sorta short on those lately. [ He pauses for a moment and then clears his throat, moving on. ]

Steve always took care of this place before he left, and I sorta started to afterwards, but I notice not a lot of people drop by anymore. I wanted to uh, just make people aware that it was here and that it’s equipped for anyone who wants to use it.

The punching bags are reinforced for super strength, there’s an aerial area for those of us who use flight. Obstacles courses, and training dummies, private sparring rooms in the back. There’s also the start of a simulation room that never actually got finished- if anyone is good with tech that wants to take a look at it by all means. There are also some moving target bots that could use a looking at if anyone is good with robots. [ He’s looking at you Tony Stark. ]

So yeah. It’s here. It’s open to everyone.

Also, uh, I guess I’m back. Teddy said I was only gone for a week- so I guess that’s what that’s like huh? Did I miss anything?

[ For anyone who drops by, there is now a small easy to miss plaque just inside the doorway declaring the room to be the Rogers/Romanoff Training Center. ]

[ -- peggy carter doesn't have super strength. she doesn't need anything much more than your garden variety heavy bag. but maybe if she asks about the equipment she can avoid that funny little swell of curiosity over steve's day-to-day life in wonderland. maybe, if she asks about the equipment, she can trick herself into believing this isn't some kind of heartbroken interrogation. ]

Must be a clever bit of work.

They do work though, I’ve seen people with super strength use them and they hold up.

I went home for well, about three years back home, but it seems it was only a week here. I’ve seen it happen to other people, but I’d never experienced it before. It’s weird.

[ It’s weird being back, like two different lives colliding. He’s sorta still trying to sort it out in his head. ]

[ He lets out a lush. ] Yeah. I was. The last thing I remember about this place was it going back to normal. [ And figuring out his two best friends were gone. But he’s not dwelling on that- technically it’s been three years since he’s seen them anyway. ]

Sounds like I didn't get all of the history. [No one had mentioned she'd been involved in that one. Even if it was some other version of her. Or the same version, but she doesn't remember it. Or whatever other possibilities might be out there.

The end takeaway is that Natasha isn't expecting it when her name is thrown out, and while she hasn't kept her Avengers' affiliations secret—that information was far too readily available for that—there's still an itchy, rubbed wrong feeling when the flow of information is out of her control.

Not that she's angry, but it does get her attention.] Now it turns out I've been ignoring my responsibilities.

[ He did feel a little weird about saying her name like that on the network, but she did have a large hand in creating the facility and he didn’t want to just give all the credit to Steve. He’s not surprised she’s popped up to reply. ] You never asked.

[ It’s cheeky, and honestly he hasn’t spoken with her enough to know what’s she’s learned about the last two times she was here. He’s kept his distance this time- it hurt every time she disappears. ]

Well, you’ll just have to come down and see if I’m keeping it up to standard then.

This training center. Is it all right to use even if we don't have any superpowers? I could stand to brush up on my self-defense.

[ Well, that’s Pepper Potts- he thinks. She looks and sounds like Pepper. He must have missed her arrival. Still, he’s been here long enough to know it’s strange when people know you and you don’t know them, so he won’t say anything for now. Besides, anyone who knew Pepper the last time she was here is probably gone by now. ]

Thanks, it’s, well weird to be back. Not necessarily good or bad. [ when you’ve lived here almost four years it’s nice being back in some ways. ]

Absolutely! It’s really for everyone. It’s just also for those who would destroy regular gym equipment. I’m hoping to get some things more organized and have classes if I can find instructors.

[The Avengers that Wonderland collected were a sham. It's just a hair's breadth away from the bastardized SHIELD that nearly ruined everything before it fizzled out.

Fitz isn't normally in the habit of addressing posts like these, but bits and pieces touch upon some of his passion projects from home.]

What sorts of simulations are you thinking about utilizing?

[He's got a lot of feelings about Wonderland's ridiculousness, but if there's any reason to play around with fun VR training systems again, he might be inclined to jump at it.]

[ He’s a little surprised Fitz contacts him- he knows he’s not overly fond of Avengers, and he and Billy only really spoke because they had Peter in common. ]

I’m not sure. Back home our simulations were things like previous battles or just things Cap and Ironman would cook up from the plethora of villains in our world. Anything that can give combat and strategy training.

I mean. I live in an apartment in New York City so the mansion is pretty big in comparison.

But yeah, I was home for three years so definitely did a lot. Though nothing I would count as normal. [ Joining a new team, traveling in space, being possessed, leaving said team, making a new team...]

[ Billy doesn’t recognize the face on the screen, but that’s not new. It’s hard to keep track of every single person who comes and goes in this place. Still, he’s probably new and Billy doesn’t want to confuse him. ]

The Avengers are a group of people from my world, and a few others from what I’ve gathered here, who protect the world from threats normal people can’t handle. Alien invasions, crazy super scientists who want to take over the world. Stuff like that.
