I thought the Gryphon was foreshadowing another event, but so far I haven't noticed anything.
[Georgia looks as serious as ever, her mouth in a sharp line and her sunglasses firmly in place as she looks into the camera.]
That means one of three things: either the Gryphon is not another resident in the same way, the rules are changing now that we've got a war on the way, or, of course, that the event simply isn't one that's easily noticeable. I'm keeping my eyes out, either way. The Gryphon certainly meant, something, and I intend to figure it out. That's what I do.
[Without losing a beat, she suddenly starts to sing. Her voice is surprisingly nice.]
Once I played fair and I played by the rules that they gave me
Had faith in the world and the laws, thought that blood tests would save me
I followed my stories, I wrote every word
I weeded out lies so the truth could be heard
But powerful people thought I shouldn't share what I found
And I screamed for the world to rise up as I slumped to the ground
You'd think that was it, but it seems that my story's not ended
Those powerful assholes decided the rules could be bended
So here I am now, only not quite the same
I'm just enough George to hold onto my name
And the CDC thinks they can use me to hurt those I love
They cloned me but clearly still don't know what I am made of
Mahir, Maggie, and Buffy and Shaun
Becks and Alaric it's time to write on
All the bloggers who will write til the dawn
and have yet to land on the Wall
I know it's been said and I'm starting to see
You have to break rules if you want to break free
So do as you like, we're determined to be
Bloggers here to save you all
Wonderland isn't my home, but I'm still here truth telling
This world's made of stories and lies, don't buy what they are selling
This place sometimes kills us, but we don't stay dead
(And yet don't require a shot through the head)
It's not what I'm used to so far from the public's cruel eyes
A part of me hates it, but sometimes the privacy's nice
They say there's a war coming on, that I should be a fighter
But I wield a pen, not a sword, that's the weapon of writers
I've talked to the Mirrors I've been to their side
They don't want this either, the Queen of Hearts lied
Our best bet of thriving is joining with them hand in hand
So again I must beg for us all to rise up while we can
Mahir, Maggie, and Buffy and Shaun
Becks and Alaric it's time to write on
All the bloggers who will write til the dawn
and have yet to land on the Wall
I know it's been said and I'm starting to see
You have to break rules if you want to break free
So do as you like, we're determined to be
Bloggers here to save you all
Sunburst's a pony, and Shepard's a deep space commander
To call Rocket a Raccoon counts as the deepest of slander
Clem's a survivor, Tim Wright and Jay try
While Chloe and Tim Drake will keep asking why
And the rules that I live by are simple and clear:
Be honest and thoughtful and don't live in fear --
Mahir, Maggie, and Buffy and Shaun
Becks and Alaric it's time to write on
All the bloggers who will write til the dawn
and have yet to land on the Wall
I know it's been said and I'm starting to see
You have to break rules if you want to break free
So do as you like, we're determined to be
Bloggers here to save you all
For we will be honest and we will be fair
And the comments will suck and we really won't care
Tell Newsies, and Irwins, and Fictionals too
There's a link they can click when they want to read true
Our words get us broken or buried or lost
But we'll write them down willingly, knowing the cost
We won't take our place on the Wall
It's better to fly, and it's better to die
Say the bloggers here to save you all
[Abruptly she stops, blinks a bit, then adds:]
...so there is an event, apparently. I'll be in my office.
[And replying only by text. She abruptly shuts off the feed.]
[ooc: Song is Wicked Girls Seanan McGuire, lyrics by me.]

[Probably not on a public record, though. Even if it would serve Jay right and deliver a nice little dose of karmic justice - letting him see how it feels, to have your failures and worst qualities painted in neon strokes for everyone to mock and speculate over, or worse.]
[But he won't.]
