[Souji's in the diner, sitting at one of the booths. At the edge of the shot is a half-eaten order of french fries, because sometimes he actually eats the things he cooks. Quality assurance. You know how it goes.
He looks thoughtful as he addresses the network.]
I've been here a while. Over time, I've kind of come to like it. I don't feel like it's urgent to go home anymore.
[He frowns.]
I miss home. But I don't really mind being here.
[The words Stockholm Syndrome come to mind, but he's not going to say them.]
So...why is it you want to leave? Or stay, if you'd rather do that.

Isn't it quite normal to want to go home? After all, we were brought here without our consent. No matter how comfortable this place might appear, I don't think there can be anything good in it if we were forced to come here.
[It is suspicious, okay.]
Video;
[He's thought a lot about this.]
But I also wonder if Wonderland doesn't have some effect on us that over time makes us more willing to be here.
Video;
It seems there are several people who wouldn't mind staying here. Why is it that whatever brings us here cannot simply return the people who do not want to stay? They'd still retain plenty, it would seem. What are their motives behind bringing us here in the first place?
I guess, to me, as long as I cannot answer questions like that, I don't feel this is a good place to stay in.
[It is a matter of trust and control.]
Video;
[Attack might not be the right word, but it seems to fit, to him.]
After a while, those kinds of questions stopped bothering me so much.
Video;
[Because that could certainly point to some element of Wonderland making them all complacent. Which is just additional layers of skin-crawling.]
Video;
[After a while, it's just hard to sustain any level of momentum on something like trying to circumvent the way Wonderland works.]
And people have different predispositions. Some are just more willing to accept things than others.
