[Souji's in the diner, sitting at one of the booths. At the edge of the shot is a half-eaten order of french fries, because sometimes he actually eats the things he cooks. Quality assurance. You know how it goes.

He looks thoughtful as he addresses the network.]

I've been here a while. Over time, I've kind of come to like it. I don't feel like it's urgent to go home anymore.

[He frowns.]

I miss home. But I don't really mind being here.

[The words Stockholm Syndrome come to mind, but he's not going to say them.]

So...why is it you want to leave? Or stay, if you'd rather do that.

I think it's about the same.

That age, they'd be called colts and fillies more than foals. They'd be in school at that point.

That sound about right. My cousin is that age, and we had a lot of fun when I lived with her.

[And she almost died, but that's totally not his fault...mostly.]

Oh, that's sweet. You were very close, then?

[That part is considerably LESS adorable. ]

Yeah. Not at first, but by the end of the year, we were. We're both pretty sad I'll be leaving.

Are you going far? Or will you be able to visit her?

It's not that far. A few hours by train. I can visit her on school breaks, so it's not like we won't see each other again. It will just be different from living with her and seeing her each day.

Oh, I see! Well, at least it's not a forever thing. I'm sure that will make when you see one another again all the more precious.

I think so, too. I'm looking forward to seeing how she grows up.

There's nothing quite like watching a little one grow up. I'm sure she'll be glad for it too. To have someone to look up to, you know?

I hope she thinks of me that way. I'm sure Flurry Heart looks up to you, too. Or will when she's a little older.

I sure hope so. I've got a lot I need to teach her. Especially when it comes to magic.

[They kind of need their tiny god child to get control over her powers so she doesn't almost bring about the end of times. Again. ]

Is her magic really powerful?

It is. She's an alicorn, a type of pony that has the abilities of three different kinds of ponies combined. She can fly, too- and her magic alone is...particularity strong. I needed to put a damper on her magic when she was first born, she was out of control and it was dangerous.

You'll be there to help her grow into it, though. I'm sure she'll be fine.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to it. It's certainly a challenge.
