[Georgia looks entirely composed and emotionless under her sunglasses. She's not happy, but like fuck she's going to let that show on camera.]
Both Tims are gone. Jay. Cissie. Becks. Clementine's nowhere to be found, though her stuff is still here, so for the moment I'm choosing to believe she'll be back.
[Fuck does she ever hope Clem will be back. She's lost too many people.]
They're not it, of course. Despite my best efforts, I can't manage to track every single arrival and departure. But these are the ones associated with the Shattered Mirror. That leaves it at just Shaun, Maggie, Julia, and me. The news will march on no matter what. This place has too many secrets and mysteries for us to stop. As long as I am here I swear to you I will keep you informed, to the best of my ability, of the truth as I see it. I won't knowingly lie to you.
But we could use more help.
If you're interested in writing for us, contact me, or visit our office on the ninth floor. We welcome contributions, whether you want to put out something regularly or just submit a piece to our weekly zine. We'll look it over, and so long as it meets our standards, we'll print it. Please come to me with any questions.
[Softly, she adds:] Mahir. Iris. Buffy. Lois. Clark. [Then she switches off the camera.]

[Unfortunately, it really doesn't seem like the most likely scenario.]

[He never got to know Jay any better. He never reconciled with Tim. It's always just...]
[So abrupt.]
jay's...
[He's dead. Sans doesn't know much about their world, but that much spilled out, that one ruinous movie night. At Tim's point in the timeline, Jay's dead. Jay knew. Had he come from that point as well?]
[It's meaningless to speculate.]
[Just like the rest of it is meaningless. Everyone goes home eventually. It always Resets.]
thanks for letting us know.
[video]
It seemed like the thing to do. I'm sorry, Iβ¦
[She tilts her head down. She's a master of words, but right now? There are none that really fit.]
I'm sorry.
[video]
yeah. same.
[And he hangs up. He needs to take a walk.]
action;
I'm guessing it's a bad time to ask for a promotion.
[ She's trying to be funny... And probably failing. Mostly because this is just depressing and she's not sure what to say. ]
action;
Sure. I'll even double your salary. Or triple it.
action;
All of his work is electronic. He keeps paper at his desk just so he can do this.]
You can drive a harder bargain than that. I mean, three times nothing is still three times nothing.
action;
[ How dare you do that to paper, Shaun. How dare you? Granted, Julia might be the only one in the office still old school enough to actually use paper for anything other than hitting George in the head with it. ]
action;
So is the pen she lobs back across the room at him. Julia, are you sure you want to be in the middle of this?]
My point is more that we don't really have any sort of official hierarchy.
action;
With Jay gone [another in a long line of people he sorely misses.] I have obviously been demoted to intern again. Boss.
action;
I managed the Independant all on my own. We still have better odds here. [ Julia likes to think she's become a much better team player since she arrived. She doesn't yell at queens anymore or anything! ] Every office does need an intern, though.
[ Kidding, Shaun! Kidding. ]
action;
Well, someone has to make the coffee and fetch Coke for the boss.
action;
Really, he's just looking for a promotion from office idiot, but he's so good at it.

[She says it for Georgia as well as herself. She hadn't noticed Tim and Jay missing until a day or two ago- trying to text Jay for an idle question- that then slid into finding their rooms empty, their communication lines dead.]
Seems to be happening a lot lately. How're you doing?
[video]
[Doesn't she always? Her solution to all of life's problems: write until she stops hurting. It hasn't worked yet, but hey, she doesn't have any other brilliant ideas.]
I've still got people here. I'll be okay.
[video]
Yeah, I... yeah.
[She should probably talk about it, but she feels like saying it makes it real.]
I think Legion's gone now, too. So it's... just me, again. From my world.
[And they're dead, back home. Who knows if she'll ever see them again.]
[video]
[George didn't really know Legion, but she knows losing people hurts, no matter who they are. And she knows how much being alone sucks.]
I know it isn't the same, but you're always welcome in the office if you want company.
[video]
[Nothing's going to be the same as being on the ship, with her crew, no one hurting, no one dead. She doesn't have the choice for that now.]
It's not the first time it's just been me. I'll manage.
[video]
[video]
You're not shit. You make good conversation. That's as much as I've got, anyway. And I appreciate the talking. You don't really think about it, but the Mansion's quiet in a different way than a ship.

[She frowns at him.]
Wonderland logic might not be the same as normal logic, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Will you be in the office for awhile? Don't worry, I won't ask for a hug. I just don't feel like sitting here by myself.

[It's not really an answer to the question, but it's the best she can offer. She's trying to hold herself together.]
