[Oh, look! It's Stan, up to his old shenanigans, standing behind the counter of the gift shop at the Mystery Room. It's been a while since he's tried to sell you something, so here he is!]
Refugees of Wonderland, do you miss the familiar weight of coin in your pocket? Is this barter economy not enough for your deep, most capitalist desires? I'm Stan Pines - I've been in business for more years than is any of your business, and I know exactly what you need. For a limited time, until I run out of 'em, we're selling REAL, AUTHENTIC GOLD COINS.
[He gestures to a bowl in front of him that...seems to be full of gold coins?]
Now, I know what you're thinking - "Mr. Pines, despite being a reliable salesman, this seems awfully suspicious of you." Well, if you won't trust me, you'll trust the guy who minted them, right?
[He waggles his eyebrows and then throws a sign behind the bowl. It's beautiful. A work of art.]
My brother Stanford popped in when we had that huge crowd earlier and he made all of these. Some of you might've even gotten samples of these babies from him. If you can't trust me, you can definitely trust him. That's how twins work! Just ask Dipper and/or Mabel! Anyway, Ford's gone again now, but his last wish before he disappeared from Wonderland was for me to sell his hard work to every single one of you. He said "Please, Stanley! Add my coins to your inventory! Use your business know-how to sell them like hotcakes!" And you don't wanna disappoint this highly realistic face, right?
[He gestures at the poster. Do you want to make doodle Ford sad, when he was nice enough to make and give out these coins? Do you? He didn't think so!]
It's regular barter rules - anything you think I might want, come pitch it at me and you can have your own shiny gold coin! Use it to flip a coin! Give it to your friends! Scratch a lottery ticket! Heck, scratch someone you hate with it, I don't care! I want one of these coin in everyone's pocket, for not at all suspicious reasons. You've got nothing better to do, so come on down to the Mystery Room and get a coin!
[The video ends there, but he'll be around in the gift shop of the Mystery Room. He's leaving these in a bowl on the counter, almost as though he's entirely encouraging shoplifting them. But that would be wildly suspicious! Almost as suspicious as Stan giving coins away for free! Good thing he just carelessly left them there with a badly worded sign.
ooc note: Not to spoil the illusion but for your ooc info these are trackers that our visiting Ford made. The idea is not to track anyone's specific movements, but to try and figure out what happens when someone leaves and see if there's a pattern as to why people leave the way they do. Stan would probably never admit that up front but if you're not comfortable with your character getting one for this reason that's 100% okay!]
