[And then his Wonderland memories click back into place and oh. That's the actual fuck. He'll stay there a moment, to get his bearings, after a few hellos to anyone passing by, but he's quickly on the move. He goes to find Clem first (always, always first) trying to push back the panic that she could come from any point in time and that's a deeply concerning thought. After that, it's off to find Michonne, to touch base, an update on their shared world- however far apart they might be within it. And then, finally, he seeks out his friends, trying their rooms or their preferred haunts. Whoever it is he's going to see, they get a smile and a wave.]

Sooooo I'm back. Still kicking.

Video:

[Once Louis has found as many people as he can, he sets up the video with a casual wave of hello.]

'Sup folks, I'm back, your friendly neighbourhood Louis! Like a bad smell, I know. I had a super fun trip back home. In case you're wondering: yes, yes it is still full of dead people. I know that's the update you were all waiting for.

[It's WAY easier to joke about this than relay the crap he's been through in the last couple weeks. No one wants to hear that, and he doesn't especially want to talk about it. He knows he's going to have to sift through it all eventually. Process it properly, but for now, he'd still rather avoid it all. Cover it up with a smile and a joke.]

ANYhoo, how're things here? Anything set on fire while I was gone? Did I miss any plot twists in the latest episode of Our Wonderland Lives? Fill me in!

If anyone has a mind to gain some skills in archery, or improve what they have, I'll be at the range until mid-afternoon. Given our recent... gifts you're welcome to draw your own targets if you wish. Within reason.

[We're not shooting at cartoon dicks, alright?]

Feel free to join me at any time. Bringing your own bow isn't necessary.

Video;
It looks like Alice is up to something again. [Looking around.] It is nice to see the things warm up again, though. I suppose this is the time of year that children generally draw outside with chalk.

But having said that... [Is that a gaggle of cartoon dicks hopping by him right now? What?] People sure do have some strange imaginations. What sort of things has everyone seen or drawn so far?

[He's curious.]

Around the Mansion;

[It's been a while since Connor has really investigated much since being here. He hasn't really had anything that he needed to analyze until these chalk outlines showed up (before they become anyway). It was pretty clear that it was chalk, but maybe it was habit that made him swipe his finger over the chalk and lick it off of his finger.

Sidewalk Chalk
Gypsum, Calcium Sulfate
CaSO₄

Anyone nearby can witness Connor do his thing, curiously looking at all of the things that have either come alive already or haven't yet come to life just yet.]

Chalk Doodles;

[After spending some time to analyzing things, he decided to try to draw something; That was yet another thing that he hadn't actually bothered try. So now he's outside attempting to draw -- surprise -- a dog. Though his art isn't anything amazing, so it just turned out to be a very simplistic version on Sumo. Connor's own dog, Jericho, seems to be somewhat familiar with this chalk Sumo.

Anyone want to play with a chalk dog and a real dog?]

[Wirt doesn't make a ton of posts. He's shy and anxious and not really suited to public speaking in any capacity, but once in a while Wonderland is just weird enough to warrant it.]

So...um. I've been thinking about it. Does anyone else think it's kind of weird there was a New Year's Party? I-I mean we've had them before, but those were thrown by somebody here. They weren't like, Wonderland parties. Like, time doesn't move here, so does that mean the White Queen counting time? Is there a set like, Wonderland year it's supposed to be now? And isn't starting the new year in January kind of arbitrary for a place where time isn't really real?

[He sighs, and rubs the back of his neck. He can feel himself getting off track.]

Sorry, I just-- time's already way complicated to keep track of here? Like, my birthday's next week and just thinking about the logistics of how that works gives me a headache, and now having Wonderland actually acknowledge a new year...I don't know. I didn't really have a point to this, I guess.

[And so, he cuts the feed there.]

[Oh, look! It's Stan, up to his old shenanigans, standing behind the counter of the gift shop at the Mystery Room. It's been a while since he's tried to sell you something, so here he is!]

Refugees of Wonderland, do you miss the familiar weight of coin in your pocket? Is this barter economy not enough for your deep, most capitalist desires? I'm Stan Pines - I've been in business for more years than is any of your business, and I know exactly what you need. For a limited time, until I run out of 'em, we're selling REAL, AUTHENTIC GOLD COINS.

[He gestures to a bowl in front of him that...seems to be full of gold coins?]

Now, I know what you're thinking - "Mr. Pines, despite being a reliable salesman, this seems awfully suspicious of you." Well, if you won't trust me, you'll trust the guy who minted them, right?

[He waggles his eyebrows and then throws a sign behind the bowl. It's beautiful. A work of art.]

My brother Stanford popped in when we had that huge crowd earlier and he made all of these. Some of you might've even gotten samples of these babies from him. If you can't trust me, you can definitely trust him. That's how twins work! Just ask Dipper and/or Mabel! Anyway, Ford's gone again now, but his last wish before he disappeared from Wonderland was for me to sell his hard work to every single one of you. He said "Please, Stanley! Add my coins to your inventory! Use your business know-how to sell them like hotcakes!" And you don't wanna disappoint this highly realistic face, right?

[He gestures at the poster. Do you want to make doodle Ford sad, when he was nice enough to make and give out these coins? Do you? He didn't think so!]

It's regular barter rules - anything you think I might want, come pitch it at me and you can have your own shiny gold coin! Use it to flip a coin! Give it to your friends! Scratch a lottery ticket! Heck, scratch someone you hate with it, I don't care! I want one of these coin in everyone's pocket, for not at all suspicious reasons. You've got nothing better to do, so come on down to the Mystery Room and get a coin!

[The video ends there, but he'll be around in the gift shop of the Mystery Room. He's leaving these in a bowl on the counter, almost as though he's entirely encouraging shoplifting them. But that would be wildly suspicious! Almost as suspicious as Stan giving coins away for free! Good thing he just carelessly left them there with a badly worded sign.

ooc note: Not to spoil the illusion but for your ooc info these are trackers that our visiting Ford made. The idea is not to track anyone's specific movements, but to try and figure out what happens when someone leaves and see if there's a pattern as to why people leave the way they do. Stan would probably never admit that up front but if you're not comfortable with your character getting one for this reason that's 100% okay!

[Naoki has a very short question that is seemingly quite simple.]

How do you face your fears?

[This is something he's been wondering about for a while, though not something he has a lot of trouble with himself. There isn't a lot that actually scares him anymore.

Except for maybe horses.]

[ Chloe is sitting at her desk with the camera propped up in front of her, and she looks wholly uncomfortable, which is par for the course whenever she addresses the network. She takes a deep breath, speaking with an even tone, clearly having rehearsed what she's about to say quite a few times. ]

Hi, everyone. If you don't know me, my name is Chloe Decker. I've been in Wonderland for almost two years, and before I came here I was a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. For the last few months I've been running the Deux Lux bar and nightclub, so if you don't know me personally, maybe you've seen me there. That's, uh, not really the point of this, though.

[ She clears her throat and pushes her hair over her shoulder, trying to get back on track. ]

I'm not closing down Lux or anything, but I've come to terms pretty recently with the fact that I'm always going to be a cop. About a year or so ago someone put together a guard to help protect people who had died multiple times in Wonderland. That person has since gone home but I always thought it was a good idea, and even though our relationship with the Mirrorside has seemed to change a little since last year, I think the concept is still applicable. So what I'd like to do is talk about reforming something similar, a group of people who have experience that might be able to offer resources or even protection for those who need it, especially during the more chaotic events.

And even outside of them, when necessary. Some of you are probably aware of an incident that occurred last year involving one of our own being murdered, and I don't think I'm the only one who felt helpless to do anything during that situation. I don't plan on laying down any law here... For the most part, I've learned we take care of each other as best we can. But I do think there is a basic code that needs to be upheld and that is one of decency towards each other, and for me, that means letting the people I care about know that they have somewhere to turn when they need help. I think this idea could help with that, whether it be organizing rescues or safe areas during events, or developing some kind of due process when someone is doing active harm to our community.

[ The part of the script she's more or less memorized is over at that point, so she presses her lips together and nods at the camera. ]

I'm open to suggestions, and volunteers.

[The image on the screen is blurry, the camera at an angle that shows Wendy but not much more. A bit more subdued than usual, if only in the lack of candy and laughter.]

You think the least this place could do it let us say goodbye, you know? I can't be the only one that feels cheated on that, right?

I'm thinking about setting up like a wall or something for like notes or something because we lose a lot of people here who we know we'll never see again, and that just sucks.

[It might take a moment to for some to recognize who is sending out this message. Instead of her standard clothing, Alice wears a fancy uniform now - a blue dress so pale it's nearly white and a pair of glasses that she doesn't really need but she thinks they make her seem sharp. She's a tiny twelve-year-old professional (or more accurately, twelve and one hundred and fifty three) and she's standing in front of a board.]

Hello everyone! It's been so long since I've come to tell of an event, but I promise I've had good reason. You see, I've been serving as her Royal Majesty the White Queen's Royal Adviser! I was a Queen once you know, and while I was absolutely terrible at it...maybe I can help her keep from making the mistakes I made!

[She seems hopeful and enthusiastic about the chance to do something good for Wonderland.]

Anyway, that's not why I'm here though. There's going to be another event soon! I think my impressions of them aren't quite as good as they used to be, but I do know a little bit. I know there's going to be quite a bit of farming, and even pumpkins! It's nice when things are seasonally appropriate, isn't it? But...there was also some law-breaking? Maybe murder? [She wiggles her hand in an "eh" sort of way.] It was all rather unclear so I've taken the opportunity to come up with some possibilities!

[She dramatically flips the board around so everyone can see all of her pitches, scrawled across the whole board. They are as follows:]

1. STEAL A FARMER'S PUMPKIN -> MURDER IT INTO A JACK O'LANTERN -> GO TO JAIL FOR STEALING
2. ATONE FOR CRIMES BY BAKING PUMPKIN PIES -> MUST FARM ALL INGREDIENTS -> FARMING IS DIFFICULT!!! :(
3. ARRIVE AT SPOOKY OLD FARM -> MUST FARM TO APPEASE MEAN GHOST -> IT WAS FARMER JENKINS ALL ALONG! -> FARMER JENKINS GOES TO JAIL (THANKS MEDDLING KIDS!!! :) )
4. INVASION OF THE PUMPKINS! -> MUST SAVE WONDERLAND FROM PUMPKIN MURDER BY FARMING -> THROW PUMPKINS IN JAIL PIT (REQUIRES DIGGING JAIL PIT)

Now...I don't know if any of these are right exactly but it's somewhere to start at least. I'd love to hear any other ideas anyone has, if any of this sounds familiar to anyone! Maybe we can figure it out before it happens!

[Maggie's comfortably perched on her couch, hair braided, no makeup, and wearing jeans and a flannel shirt. Dressed for activity, not for looks.]

Hello, Wonderland!

I was hoping to recruit some help for a project. I realized while looking after a friend's dog recently that we don't have a good area to let dogs off-leash if their recall isn't fantastic. I'd like to design and build a dog park here. Ideally two separate fenced areas, in case some pets don't play well with others, double gated and considerably more interesting than plain empty fields.

The thing is, although I've trained and rescued dogs, I haven't worked construction. I could use a hand with manual labor. We don't have currency in Wonderland, but if you aren't moved to volunteer out of the goodness of your heart, I'll see what I can come up with for a barter economy. Options include home-cooked meals, dog training, and fiction or poetry on topics of your choice, for starters.

Give me a call or stop by room 69 on the 9th floor this afternoon if you're interested, darlings!

[There's no particular reason Satoru chose audio over video. Despite how young his voice is, the adult in him is coming through in how tired he sounds.]

I bet I'm not the only one that event was kind of hard for. Even thinking things might have turned out that way makes me want to...

[He trails off without actually saying what it makes him want to do.]

But I'm sure it could have been worse.

[He pauses.]

So...what's the worst event you've been through?

[For the people who noticed Connor's video about a week ago might notice something weird about him. His appearance itself hasn't changed, but his demeanor has. He seems a lot more composed.... A lot more robotic. He may be an Android, but previously, he was less restrained in his actions, words, and even his stance.]

Have I been deactivated? Amanda!

I did everything you wanted! I completed my mission. Why must I be sent back to CyberLife and deactivated if I've done what I was programmed to do?

[He's currently looking around in front of the water fountain again; what a turn of events after arriving here before, but he doesn't seem to remember Wonderland from the little amount that he's learned thus far. His movements were a lot more restrained, but he's clearly angry... Or... emulating that anger. Either way, being told that you're obsolete and that you're going to be replaced by a RK900 model didn't exactly sit well, even after remaining a machine.

Not when there was a threat to being deactivated. He was conflicted. He should just acknowledge that his mission is done and whatever happened next happened, but facing death wasn't exactly easy to take in.]

Amanda! Answer me! [The LED on the side of his head was yellow, but it's probably a noticeable red by this point.] Where am I?!

[Hope people enjoy a yelling android.]

[OOC: During the event, he's remained a machine and taken out both Markus and North.]

[The plus side is that Connor doesn't take long to figure out how to use the communicator. The bad thing is that it's clear that he's completely thrown through a loop here. Using his hand to broadcast this, much like when he was figuring out the Jericho clues, he seems to be outside the gates, in front of a large fountain.]

Judging by the look of this place, I think it's safe to say that I'm not in Detroit anymore.

[Unless Detroit parks suddenly got this colorful and a giant mansion appeared.]

I can't seem to locate where I am though. It appears that where ever this is, it's not in my database.

There seems to be some sort of communication here that I've tapped into at the very least, so if there's anyone out there seeing this, any answers would be appreciated.

My name is Connor. I'm the android sent by-- [Wait...] Uh... I work for the DPD. I have no idea how I was brought here to begin with, but something is obviously going on here.

If anyone has seen a hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant with medium length grey hair that drinks way too much named Hank, let me know. Or maybe even a Saint Bernard dog named Sumo. [Since the last thing he remembers is being at Hank's house.] Thanks.

[With that, he's off to figure out just what's going on. Hopefully he'll find answers somehow soon. Anyone is free to find him roaming around the outside or even the mansion as he makes his way in.

OOC: As I've said in his OOC intro, he's going to be taken from a good ending where he hasn't died and he has become a Deviant. If you're interested in how he'll be played, go ahead and check his application. Otherwise, enjoy some mood music if you so choose.]
