Hey, Wonderland. Henry Mills here. And I wanted to keep a running tally of all the monsters or villains that you know of from your world that could come here. And then note whether or not they have been here.

I'll need people's help since I've only been here a year and a half, and I'm not sure what was here before me. So, I'll go start:

  • Ice queens (but only evil ones) - One named Ingrid was here but left.
  • Dark One (any form)
  • Ogres
  • Peter Pan - he was here and left a while ago
  • Curses (any type, usually there are a lot of clouds that build up before hand)
  • Poison apples/spindles/pointy things
  • Dragons (but not all of them are bad so you have to be careful)
  • Cruella de Vil
  • Zelena (she's here. Hi, Zelena. Sorry you're on this list.)
  • Flying monkeys (but they're actually people so...I'm not sure what to do about that?)
  • King Arthur
  • Trolls
  • Mermaids (but NOT Ariel.)

  • There's probably more, anyone from home can add to this. But yeah, it just might be good to know what to be aware of?

( the video opens with a pair of bright blue eyes, far more fur than any one creature could need, and a practically thunderous purr. it's not surprising, seeing as Hook has tried about 5 times to set the thing up to record and the damn cat keeps knocking it over. his company is painfully exposed as he scoops up the purring beast and puts it on the floor.

no he's not going to mention or talk about the cat. that's not important, all right? thanks to that bloke with cat fantasies practically all of Wonderland has a cat. that's not what he's trying to talk about.

the pirate looks tired, but anyone that knows him knows that's a 24-7 thing for him. he's been tired since he arrived, months ago. that doesn't seem to be stalling anytime soon. not sleeping doesn't help, but his busywork does, at least a little. busywork for a pirate means making maps, which means... )

Is there a proper map of this place? I haven't spotted one yet. If there's not, I've been considering starting on a draft. It won't do us any good once the place is tits up on these events, but it's not a horrible thing to have on hand.

( he rubs at his forehead, as Dave jumps back up onto his desk and paws at the many pens scattered there. )

I'd ask for a star chart while I was at it, but speaking of things going tits up, the stars here are absolutely mad. I don't remember them being like this when I arrived, does anyone know what happened to them?

( the stars running wild bothers him more than he cares to admit. stars shouldn't move nightly... it's utterly ridiculous. Dave seems to have decided that the first eight times he was put on the floor for messing with the camera were just a cute joke, and tries to nuzzle it with more of those dementedly loud purrs. the pirate sighs and plucks it back off the table to the floor. )

If anyone has experience with cartography, I suppose I'd take the help. Making a map from scratch is difficult.

Alright, how many of us got roped into taking care of a cat?

[Us, because there's a sweet little kitten climbing up her arm. Black fur, bright eyes, and an obvious talent for clinging to her new owner. The cat seemed familiar in a way Emma couldn't walk away from. Maybe it was because she needed a home, maybe it was because she's clearly a troublemaker covered in fluff.

Only time will tell whether or not it was a good idea. She's still wondering how Henry's dog will respond to her, and whether or not this is going to be the disaster Emma thinks it could be.

The sad eyes got to her; the truth is, they work every time.]

Soon, the device is jostled as someone picks it up and Regina comes into view. For once, she doesn't look like her entire world is awful forever, instead, she looks remarkably happy.]

Wonderland. [That's it. That's your greeting.] Recent developments, both here and at home, have reminded me of the pressing need to figure out a solution to our little memory problem.

[Unfortunately, her own missing memories are back home trapped in a dreamcatcher...]

So, if you come from a land with magic, I'd like to talk to you.

[Regina reaches down to turn off the device, before she stops. Her smile warms again before she speaks.]

Before I go, I want to let everybody know that there'll be another wedding in the near future. Robin Hood and I are getting married.

[He's waited probably longer than he should have, but that's how it goes when you're the exception to the rule. Most people, when they go and come back, are gone for a week at most. Then they show back up, memories in tact, bringing with them some new information or development from back home. Any longer than that and they don't remember Wonderland, instead showing up just the same as a person there for the first time: lost, confused, pissed off at the circumstances.

But Neal had been gone two months, then came back remembering everything. So maybe someone else could too, and that's what it's taken so long for him to actually make the announcement.]

Don't know if anyone ever put it on the network, but Elphaba Thropp's gone home. [She's been gone, but today is February 14th. It would've been a year--you know. If Neal hadn't vanished for those two months and come back to find her gone, plus that whole mess with the curse of Shattered Sight before. Still, what they had? Had been good most days.

Sucks that it ended like it had, but then--they were in Wonderland.]

Happy Valentine's Day to those celebrating it.

[Neal, personally, is not. Which is why he's going to be in the bar, thank you very much, having a drink in memory of his departed girlfriend.]

once he finds it and figures out what it's for, his first move is probably a predictable one. he looks tired and maybe a little sick as he addresses Wonderland, still dressed in whatever he was wearing when he poofed back from Camelot, but his mind is on different things. )

[Henry’s had a good start to the year so far. He has no idea how long it will last, but all of his parents are in Wonderland, no one is the Dark One, and he’s...happy. So, he can focus on other things, like trying to understand just how far reaching this place is, and how many realms over-lap each other. He knows there are worlds with zombies, where New York is completely over-run and America is gone, but he also lived in New York for a while, and...no zombies. So, how many versions are there?]

Hi, so. I was kind of curious about what people have experienced in their worlds versus my version of the world. So, I’m gonna toss out some things and if you could say where you’re from, and which ones you’ve heard of (not because of people talking about it here in Wonderland), that’d be cool. Oh, and maybe your best guess on what year it is at home, too.

No one has to do anything, I just thought it’d be fun. So, here are some popular things/events in history or whatever:

  • The Ogre Wars
  • The Beatles
  • Central Park
  • iPhones/Apple
  • The Dark Curse [sorry, mom, it was an event.]
  • Disco
  • The Berlin Wall
  • Titanic
  • San Francisco Earthquake (1989)
  • The Dark One
  • Internet
  • Moon landings (or space exploration in general)

Thanks in advance if you answer back. You can ask me about events too, to see if we match on anything you think was important.

But Wonderland didn't seem like the sort of place to allow happiness to last very long. It ran contrary to chaos.]

Those who know him, Mr. Gold has disappeared. His things are gone and his room is abandoned. He's gone home, I think.

I recently departed Wonderland and then returned. [ Which has happened to many people, he knows, and it's not the first time it happened to him. ] Shortly before returning here to Wonderland, I seem to have had a few adventures I can't recall. I was curious how many others here have ever been afflicted by frequent bouts of amnesia? Outside of Wonderland, that is. [ Is this just a thing they're all fated to deal with constantly just because they live in Storybrooke? ]

It's disconcerting, to say the least.

[ And he's been separated from his son again. He's so grateful to have had the chance to see him again after so long, but it makes the ache for him that much stronger. So he switches gears.] In my return home, I had the good fortune to see my son again. I miss him terribly. I wondered as well if many of you have children you've been separated from? Everyone! I've thought of the most marvelous riddle and simply had to share it immediately! So many of you are much smarter than I am, and I'm certain you'll come up with an answer easily.

Hm... [She brings a hand to her chin and frowns in thought.] Now, how did it go again? I think it was..."If there's something in the forest, and no one's ever seen it, how do they know it's—" --no, that's not quite right, is it? Someone who's seen it obviously told them and that isn't much of a riddle at all. Maybe it was...maybe it was "If everyone's scared of a beast in the forest, but no one's ever seen the beast, is it truly a beast at all"? Hmm...I don't think it was.

[Alice scratches her temple, frustrated that she's lost the correct wording to her absolutely fantastic riddle.]

Perhaps it wasn't so marvelous after all. [She shrugs. Eh. Over it.] Oh well. Everyone knows who you are is much more important than the sort of riddles you tell. So, let's do that instead!

Tell me Wonderland - who are all of you today? That ought to be much more curious than some riddle.

She might not know what's going on here, but she doesn't like it.

I'm guessing all of you can see me.

[It's a shaky image; she's still moving, rushing around to avoid something she's already outrun. You might be able to catch her as she heads into the mansion, slowing her pace just enough to avoid a collision with anyone who she might run into now that she's indoors.]

My name is Emma Swan, and I'm from a town called Storybrooke. If that means anything to you, I need you to say something. [Honestly, she doesn't even know what the hell to hope for. She doesn't want her family involved in this. They spend more time falling through portals than they do safe at home. If she has to take this on by herself, she will.

All she needs now is confirmation; if they're where they're supposed to be, then this is about finding a way home. A portal, a magic bean, anything that gets her back to the moment she was pulled away from. ]

[It took a moment of fumbling and inspecting the device before Belle was able to turn it on. Her weary and red face broadcast across the network. She shivered, wearing only her nightdress, glancing around as she addressed Wonderland.]

Hello? I'm not quite sure where I am or how I got here. Is there any shelter around? [The snow is making this incredibly uncomfortable.] I'm not sure how long I can wait out here and I need to find somewhere warm.
    belovedson: (sometimes things suck)

[The broadcast is honestly overdue, but Neal’s got plenty of good reasons why it’s taken him this long to get it out there. Wonderland does as it always does, and the event revolving around HYDRA had been a hell of a thing to go through for everyone—and for Neal, who saw his son brainwashed not to know him. Then even before that, he and Robin had to hunt down the kid after he went into hiding again, for damn good reason again, and for the record? Neal’s really sick of his kid’s life going to hell, thanks.

But there’s another reason, one he doesn’t even want to admit to himself, much less anyone else. It’s been long enough now though that he can be sure: Rumplestiltskin really isn’t coming back, and putting off telling everyone else isn’t going to make that any less true. So he finally turns on the feed, though even as he forces out the words Neal doesn’t quite look square at the camera.]

Not sure how many people knew him as Mr. Gold or as Rumplestiltskin, but either way he’s not in Wonderland anymore.

[How many people would care who didn’t already know? Neal’s not sure, and that’s kind of messed up too. Doesn’t matter that he’d seen his father go back to his old ways; Neal still can’t help feeling like a failure of a son just by not knowing who his Papa’s friends had been.

Or if he had any at all.]

    Sorry.

[That’s it for the public broadcast, but Neal’s got other messages to send out. There’s no good way to go about it, but so long as she doesn’t go crazy, Neal figures there’s no point in telling the mansion as a whole about what happened to Regina. Some people should know though, ones she’s close to, and between Robin and Henry they’d figured out a short list of names.]

Locked to the Once-Ler, Michonne, and Angel )

[That done, Neal heads to the place where he’s spent a lot of his time lately: The Jolly Roger. Another memento left behind, except this one requires a bit more maintenance—especially when kids decide to commandeer it for birthday parties. Somewhere along the way he thinks it might be a good idea just to let people know it’s not entirely open to the public, so later on in the evening he gets out the phone again.]

So pretty much everyone knows there’s a pirate ship docked here in Wonderland now. Even though the person who owns her isn’t here anymore, I’m taking care of her. And I don’t mind if people want to use her sometimes, but just check with me first. She’s pretty important to me and my family.

[ Waking up to the sight of an all-too familiar tent over his head instead of his room's ceiling is enough to spur Simon fully awake with a panic attack practically clawing its way up his throat, terrified thoughts of I'm back, I can't be back! nearly deafening him over the roar of adrenaline that instantly snaps him into the present.

The sight of Jo still stretched out beside him on the narrow army bed, pressed close and slowly waking up in response to his own abrupt jerk upwards, is both baffling and reassuring.

Not back, then. Not the end of the world. She wouldn't be here if it were.

But apparently Wonderland's trying its hand at it all the same. Shit.

After several moments to throw on his clothes and a step outside to get his bearings - and reassure himself that yup, he's really standing in the middle of Abel - Simon flips open a video feed to give the rest of the Network an idea of what they're in for. ]

    Good moooorning, Wonderland.

Simon here, and if you're awake already, you've probably noticed that we're not in Kansas anymore. Or anything resembling anywhere you want to be. Yeah, me too. Sorry about that.

Welcome to Abel. If you value your lives, your brains, and your oh-so-pretty faces you'll keep yourself nice and comfy within the walls. Trust me, you really don't want to go out there unless you know what you're doing, and probably not even then. This is the Zombie Apocalypse, folks.

No, I'm not pulling your leg. Yes, I've been here before. So have Sam Yao and Doctor Maxine Myers, who I'm assuming will toss their two cents in presently. So if you have any questions or concerns, seek out one of us - Maxine will be in the clinic - that'll be over on the eastern side of the settlement - and Sam will most likely be in the Comms shack - you can't miss it, it's the tiny building that smells distinctly of marmite and looks like it has a spacecraft collection of radio towers atop it. As for me, you can find me either on the front porch of the Farmhouse to answer questions or keeping an eye on the walls, unless they need me outside for something.

Basic Zombie 101, for those of you who've never watched a horror movie - don't let them get anywhere near you. They've nearly wiped out humanity as we know it and they pass on the Grey Plague from either blood or saliva. Some of them are damned fast and nothing stops them from coming at you unless you destroy the brain or sever its connection to the spinal cord. Blunt trauma works best, so does a bullet, but those are extremely rare these days and gunshots tend to draw the attention of even more of them, so use those sparingly.

If you get bit, infected... [ He pauses, sighs and rakes a hand wearily over his face, because part of him suspects this is going to as bad if not worse than the days of the original outbreak. Some of these people have no idea what it takes to survive in a place like this. ] Don't get bit. There's no known cure. If the infection takes hold - and it almost always certainly will - you have minutes or hours before it kills you. After that, your corpse will get back up and go after the nearest living person, no matter what they meant to you alive. The dead don't recognize anything but food. If you've been infected - bit, scratched, anything - you need to let someone in authority know or you need to get yourself as damned far away from the settlement as you can. Entire cities were destroyed overnight from one infected let inside and within hours that's thousands of new zoms to wash over the next town. I know the term 'mercy killing' isn't something in most people's vocabulary, and that's not a bad thing, but if it's not something you're comfortable with, you find someone who is. That's harsh, but this is Wonderland. Don't forget this is an event. It's going to be over in a few days. Do your best to stay alive and keep as many of the people alive around you as you can.

The town has rations stored up and some meds, but I don't know how much yet, that's going to be something we'll all have to figure out, because I don't know how long Wonderland's going to keep us here. And since there's only the three of us that are familiar with how things work, we're happily going to be taking volunteers to help keep things running and keep the rest of you from dying. If you're interested, seek out one of us and we'll find you something to do. Believe me, there'll be plenty and most of it won't even be gross or dangerous, I promise.

If you have any questions, come find me, or leave me word here. I'll try to keep myself visible and available to anyone that needs me, and I'm sure the others will, too. If anyone does need to venture outside the walls, check in with Sam first. He'll get you set up with headsets and weapons and be your eyes and ears out there. He's got cameras and surveillance hacked in every direction for as far as you can go in a day or so - it's his job to keep people alive, let him do it.

    Stay safe, Wonderland.

[ Robin generally prefers spending his time outdoors, when the weather and circumstances allow for it, of course. The forest isn't always the most hospitable environment, but in an explicable and inescapable way, it will always be home, no matter where he happens to be. When he's doing target practice, though, he tends to keep to the gardens, especially if he's teaching others, as it's much safer that way. Unless he's hunting, and then he ventures further into the forest.

But though he's been teaching a few friends how to handle a bow, Robin's been considering making an offer to the network at large. The more prepared everyone is, the better. Given what's just happened with the rips, it seems more imperative now than ever. ]

I was wondering how many others here in Wonderland know how to wield a bow?

[ He's boasted to many people before that his arrow never misses its mark, and he's tempted to playfully declare that very same thing now, but he tempers himself, not wanting to put off anyone who doesn't know him and his penchant for cheekiness. He's not really cocky, just...confident. ]

If you're not familiar with using one, would you perhaps like to learn? I have years of practice, I'm quite skilled, and I'd enjoy the chance to help others who might want to learn, either for fun or in defense. He can't even control the flames this time, and he's been waking up alone, gasping and sweating and upset. There's a burn mark on his arm, but he can pretty much cover that with long sleeves. But he hasn't gone back to one of his parent's apartments because he's thirteen, not a kid, and he's too old for waking them up in the middle of the night because of bad dreams. He has people to check on though, and in the course of the morning, has discovered that Toothless is gone.

It figures. Make a friend, they disappear. Even if he was a dragon, Henry'd been able to talk to him and Toothless had understood, even if he couldn't talk back. So now Henry's checking to see, to be sure everyone he knows, even a little, is still around, starting with family. He makes a general video though, because who knows, maybe people have arrived from Storybrooke and he just isn't aware yet.]

I know everyone is still worried because of that dream. And it's probably some kind of really bad sign. What happened last time? I mean, the Jabberwocky is what people are saying, and it was here before. So...something happened.

[He's tired and rubs his face a little, but still makes an offer.]

I'm gonna be at the diner, if anyone wants to hang out and maybe talk about it.

[Private to the people helping him work on his book.]

Anybody need any help with anything? Not just about the book but...are you guys okay?

[ some oddness today. miss elphaba thropp has about four dozens of books all scattered around what seems to be one of the tea rooms turned private library.

aside of those the rooms seem to be filled with bags upon bags of marshmallows.

your eyes are not in fact fooling you; one green girl in a summery dress of dark blue is lounging, surrounded by books and eating her weight in marshmallows.

wicked witch, indeed. and speaking of which! ]

story time, if you please. imagine me to be a lovely lady with golden curls and a sweet nature that you would share a tale with and tell me if you have ever heard of a land called oz or a woman whose unnecessarily long title was the Wicked Witch of the West.

[ she closes her book ]

I have gathered that said land and said women are quite famous in many worlds. I would hear all that you were told of both. The title seems to be repetitive but if you know her name, I would hear it. to those of you who belong to Mr. Gold's realm -

[ yes she groups you all under that title ]

I will hear whatever details you have not told me yet. I do wish to understand what one day I might be famous for.

Okay, public service announcement, here: if you don't filter or lock your messages, we can all see them. And read and hear them. Which usually doesn't matter, but just... I mean, if it's quote-unquote sensitive information, you probably don't want it on the public network. And we don't, either. Usually. And even then... I mean, there're a handful of tech-savvy people in the mansion, so even if it's encrypted, it still could be, you know, decrypted. I'm just saying, it's almost always better to talk in person if you're making big plans or swapping secrets.

That said, does anyone know the network's origin? I mean, I never pegged the Queen of Hearts or the Duchess or whoever to be good with computers. It had to start somewhere, by someone who knew what they were doing. It's a pretty complicated system.

Just... don't tell me it was "magic." [ Sigh. ]

[At first glance, Alana looks pale and not altogether well. She has a sling around one shoulder and arm, a bruise creeping up her neck and she's actually propped up in a bed with numerous pillows. Being pushed out a window does that to you, apparently.

A closer look will reveal a determined look in her eyes and a collection of books on the table beside the bed. She's researching something.]

    I need some advice.

I'm from a world without magic. [As far as she knows.] No angels or demons, wizards, vampires, werewolves, or other supernatural or magical beings. I'm slowly learning what I can about these things, but there's a matter I'd like more input on.

What do you know about curses- specifically, breaking them?

[ooc: Yes, she's asking re: Hannibal. She will not get anywhere with trying to help him, so feel free to have your characters be as helpful (or not) as they want.]

I've never visited Wonderland myself, but I've read enough to know that this is... different.

[ She's been here a few days. She's read the pamphlet, talked around. She knows what's up. And she doesn't look angry or rebellious to anyone who may be watching on the other end; she just looks rather determined. ]

I - ah - haven't been able to find the library yet, and I've yet to come into contact with multiples of different realms, so I'm sorry if I'm not quite up to date.

[ She clears her throat. ]

Speaking of being unable to find things, I am missing a belonging of mine. Of someone else's actually: it's a dagger with a jagged blade, with a name carved into it. I just - I know I couldn't've misplaced it, and I was hoping it would have made it here with me. Whereever this is.

[ And with that, she smiles thinly. ]

My - my name is Belle Gold, if anyone happens to find it. I know there's at least one person here from Storybrooke. I'm just hoping there are others.

Hiiiiii. [ Yeah, this is awkward. Calista still doesn’t have her costume, so she’s trying to do her best lost-teenager-in-Wonderland impersonation, as opposed to her ‘I’m 90% sure someone with Powers zapped me here’ self. She grins, waves at her captive audience, and then immediately huffs a piece of hair out of her face. ]

Okay, so. Step one: be kidnapped. Step two: introduce yourself to your kidnappees? Is that how it goes? Is there a training manual, or instructional video, or like a series of things on Youtube to help a girl out? An awful lot of you guys look used to this whole shitty situation, which is one part worrying and one part kinda bad-ass, if I’m gonna be honest.

Anyway, my name's Calista. Any chance Retro Girl’s going to swoop in and save the day?

[ Calista, your ego is showing. ]

[ Belle is in the library, which is obvious by her surroundings but also if you know her. She's been here before since arriving, but this time she hasn't left in a couple of days. There are books piled around her on the table and there are three open in front of her. Even as Belle sends out the video she's still looking down at her book. Can't stop ]

There is so much to read here. I don't think I've seen a library so big.

[ The one that Rumple had made for her was lovely - possibly nicer as it was hers, but this seemed to further expand as you moved through it ]

I could spend a lifetime here.

[ Although it could possibly be a very short lifetime if someone doesn't feed her or make her sleep. She'd fallen asleep from exhaustion before but it wasn't long ]

There are so many things that I wouldn't have known before. Apparently sneezing is quite dangerous. [ And she's looking at a second book now ] And crocodile's can't move their tongues.

[ She'd gone to the library originally to look up something useful, and to expand her knowledge. These were definitely all useful facts ]

I wish I had more time to get through everything.
