[When Alice appears on the screen today, she's bobbing up and down in excitement with the widest smile ā even without eyes to accompany it. Curiously, for those who have never met Alice before, her gaze always goes to the camera somehow, even though by all accounts she should not be able to see it.]
Everyone! I've thought of the most marvelous riddle and simply had to share it immediately! So many of you are much smarter than I am, and I'm certain you'll come up with an answer easily.
Hm... [She brings a hand to her chin and frowns in thought.] Now, how did it go again? I think it was..."If there's something in the forest, and no one's ever seen it, how do they know it'sā" --no, that's not quite right, is it? Someone who's seen it obviously told them and that isn't much of a riddle at all. Maybe it was...maybe it was "If everyone's scared of a beast in the forest, but no one's ever seen the beast, is it truly a beast at all"? Hmm...I don't think it was.
[Alice scratches her temple, frustrated that she's lost the correct wording to her absolutely fantastic riddle.]
Perhaps it wasn't so marvelous after all. [She shrugs. Eh. Over it.] Oh well. Everyone knows who you are is much more important than the sort of riddles you tell. So, let's do that instead!
Tell me Wonderland - who are all of you today? That ought to be much more curious than some riddle.
[She rests her chin in her hands, waiting for answers, and then the video feed flickers off.]

[He turns a page of the book he's reading before he answers Alice's question.]
Nageki Fujishiro.
no subject
[Alice grins. She was expecting a lot of names, but that isn't quite what she means.]
Well, of course you are! But who are you?

[ Is that the right word? Eh. ]
I've got one for you. What word gets shorter when you add two letters to it?
no subject
If someone did then they should have told it better, so I would remember it correctly!
[But hmmm. That's an interesting riddle. She thinks as hard as she can on it and then eventually she snaps her fingers.]
Oh! I've got it! It must be a name! And then when you add the letters J and R at the end you get someone much shorter! Am I right?

[She's colouring a picture of a forest as she gives this riveting description of herself, so it's a description tacked on impulsively at the end.]
Or at least, that's who I am today. It may be different tomorrow, perhaps. We'll see how I feel when it comes.

[Is he joking or is he not. It is a mystery~]
who are you

[She hums, thinking very very hard about this puzzle.]
...A river, perhaps? They run, so that's a bit like being alive, and they're terribly cold. And why would a river be thirsty if it's made of water? That doesn't quite explain the never-clinking mail though...

[ So, this must be the Alice. One of the book characters. That must mean an event is coming up, right? That's what people had told her, back when she first arrived...
Selina can't help but be curious. ]
Why, am I supposed to be someone else? Are any of us?
video;
[Alice does, which is why she never boxes herself into one definition of herself on principle.]
You're clearly yourself, but who is that?

More importantly, who are you and why the sudden interest in us, tree, and monsters? See, that almost sounds like you want us to go looking for your little monster friend in the forest.
You've already given a much better answer than everyone thus far! I am the Curious Girl, Alice! [She even curtsies, very politely.] And it's only a riddle, Mr. Iron Man. But I suppose that means you do think it's a beast, whether its been seen or not.

I'm still Alistair, for today. And bad at riddles. [He pauses, staring at her. He almost manages to stop himself but in the end has to blurt out-] How can you see?
[Sure it's rude but it's also weird and how can no one else have a problem with it?]
no subject
[What a strange man. She shrugs off his weirdness easily enough though and giggles at him.] So, you are Alistair, the Bad at Riddles?
[Sure, she'll take that as an answer.]

My name is Belle Gold. I am from Storybrooke, Maine.

What makes you so curious? [ Surely, there must be something sparking her question. She pauses, then: ] ...If it's answers you're after, why don't we play a game?
[ Clarke can't deny she's after answers, too. Just not the same kind. ]
no subject
[That...probably isn't what Clarke meant, but Alice tilts her head a little, thinking about her offer.]

At any rate, the Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland had eyes. Maybe this Alice is different. Maybe her eyes were stolen. He... he doesn't want to think about anyone stealing eyes.]
I-- [Ford clears his throat.] I'm Stanford Pines. An author, a researcher and scientist.
Who are you?
[Other than freaking him out, and he's seen a lot of terrible things. Freaking Ford out is not an easy thing to do.]
no subject
I'm Alice, the Curious Girl and the Fantastic Colourer!
[These are clearly the two most important things about her, that she's curious and that she likes to color. She's quick to latch onto his description of himself though, especially since he's one of the only people who defined himself without being asked to elaborate. Good! He knows how to play this game!]
An author! How remarkable! And a scientist too! That's quite the list. Do your books have pictures? All of my favorite books do.
