6th Lie [text]

[Alice is right. The Red Queen can't just leave people hanging like that.

After screaming into his pillow out of frustration, he's finally decided to just post to the network. No anon this time. Just angry texts.]

YOU KNOW WHAT

It's obvious the RQ is too busy to tell us what she's doing about this mess, and we can't actually trust her to be on our side if she's gonna run off like that, so I say we start preparing for the worst ourselves.

I know we have a bunch of storage rooms and a clinic, but does anyone have ideas for how to keep that thing from getting into our dreams or something? And no, I don't mean everyone put tinfoil on our heads! Unless, of course, you live in a world where that actually works. And do we still have enough fighters and superheroes for a militia?

Seriously! ANY IDEAS WILL HELP.

[When Kokichi texts the mansion at large and doesn't go anon, then that means serious business. Worry knots in Louis' chest- not really for the situation at large, but for what it means for his friends. How much in danger are they, now?

He can survive a zombie apocalypse. He's good at long haul survival and also the horrible pitch of sudden battle. But at least he has a half-decent idea of what he's facing back home- it's either other people or the dead. This? This could be anything.
]

I'm not sure how we're going to fight something that infects our dreams. Won't it be like trying to punch smoke?

Anyway. I'm behind you. Whatever it is we end up doing to try and not end up dead here. I got your back.
teamfun: (And clear your thoughts again)

Sure thing, Bud.

Maybe? There's all kinds of people here. I think the people here have both magic and tech areas covered pretty well. And if not, I guess there's always hitting it really hard with something heavy.

Shame about that badass sword. That looked like it would do some damage.

[Louis you have no idea how to wield a sword. ]

I got an A+ in observation in school.

Nope. I never even came across any big swords. Except for Michonne's. She's in a different group, but she has a big sword. Not magical, though.
teamfun: (Hope when the moment comes)

I mean I would have left the sword attacking to someone who could swing it without taking their own head off anyway. I'm not THAT crazy yet.

So how do we defend ourselves against something that gets into our heads? I mean, I learned how to prepare a place for a siege from Clem, but I don't know how effective that'd be against something like the Jabberwocky.
teamfun: (Just fight them harder)

(^o~) /

Yeah that is absolutely not gonna work I am completely vetoing having a metal plate put in my head.

[Because he has a zombie plague and he kind of needs people to be able to put a goddamn bullet in his head from time to time. ]

The psychic thing would be our best bet. Or someone who can do that lucid dreaming thin, maybe?
teamfun: (Just be true to you)

Gotta hope they step up and do their part, right? I mean, if the Jabberwock-slash-y comes for us, it'll come for ALL of us. We kinda need to pull together on this one.

My Great Uncle has a steel plate in his head. It's actually really good at keeping stuff out of his head.

NOT THAT I RECOMMEND THAT APPROACH it's dangerous and I don't think we have anyone who can do the surgery and I'm not sure how effective it even is against Wonderland stuff
krmvgivv: (that i say i believe)

He's had a complicated life. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Well there's the unicorn hair spell. I'm not sure if it'll work, though. Even if Sunburst's hair counts.

We'd have to pluck him bald to get enough. Then there's the moonstones and mercury.

I wish Ford were here. He'd know what to do.

My great uncle. The other one, I mean, not the one that's here. Stan's brother.

He's been gone for a long time.
krmvgivv: (and my world went on)

Yeah, that's him. He's the smartest guy I know.

And how, precisely, do you suppose we start preparing? There are plenty of ways to ward the mind, but I'm not sure that we have the kind of power it might take at our disposal to go about it on such a large scale. Nevermind the fact that Wonderland has any manner of ways to disrupt precautions we take at its whim.

[It isn't that he thinks the kid is on the wrong track, really. He's just being practical. The way things work in this world is so topsy-turvy all the time, it makes preparation hard. Especially when whatever's coming is such a vast possibility of unknowns.]

They could. Sometimes, depends... some types of magic don't mesh well together. Bit like chemicals in a science lab, put the wrong things together and it can go really, really bad.

I know plenty about backup plans and backups for the backups, mate. But we still need starting points to work from, don't we?

I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M ACTUALLY SAYIN THIS.

[Really. He can't. He so can't believe it that he felt it necessary to type out his disbelief. Usually he's the last one to volunteer his help, but at least one part of that is uniquely suited to the odd set of skills he's picked up over the years.]

DUNNO IF YOU CAN KEEP IT OUT, BUT KNOWING HOW TO DO THAT LUCID DREAMING THING WOULD PROLLY HELP IF IT GETS IN.

It may be of little use, but a good friend of mine is a mage... I can ask him if he has any good ideas.

[Yes, Hawke, he means you.]
