Video - Day 6
Excuse me! Excuse me, everyone! This is very important and I need everyone's attention!
[Alice waves both of her hands, as though she's trying to attract a crowd on a street instead of record a message. For those who've just returned, her eyes have been restored.]
Has anyone else received one of these? This is what was in my calendar today and, hold on--
[She fumbles a bit, but she grabs a jar with a glowing, swirling light inside and holds it up so it can be seen easily.]
These jars, I haven't seen many of them before. If you open one up, it's got-- there's a memory in there! I wanted to make sure everyone knew, because I know I'm not the only one missing things. I can't believe Wonderland would just give them away like this!
[There is absolutely no way to contain her excitement whatsoever. She knows exactly the value of what she's received, and her message quickly turns from helpful information to absolute giddiness.]
I wonder what's in here? Maybe I've got parents! Or another cat! Maybe I grew up on an island, or a tall mountain! What if my name isn't Alice? What if I've got a memory of being a Henrietta, or an Eloise?
[Even so, she hesitates. She doesn't know what's in this jar, what she's going to get back. Is it a good thing? What if it's something terrible?
Still, she has to know. So, in front of the entire network, she opens her memory jar. A bright light is captured by the camera, blinding the scene for a moment. Something shatters, presumably the glass jar hitting the floor.
And then it dims, slowly, slowly, and Alice is there again. Crying, with her hands covering her mouth from the shock.
At that moment, the camera abruptly flickers off.]

Actually, I think I tried to, a long time ago! Hold on, stay there!
[She bounces up from the bed and rushes to her nightstand to throw open the bottom drawer. When the room was abandoned the drawer was empty, but now it's full of crumpled up papers that Alice didn't have the heart to get rid of when she returned. She tears through it, throwing papers everywhere until she finds the one she's looking for and returns to sit between them. She uncrumples the paper so they can see it better.]
I thought so! I'm sorry it's so scribbled out, but this is him! Mr. Dodgson! It's not quite right, but I started making these drawings when I started to forget things. There...there were already pieces gone. But I remember this day! Someone else was rowing and there were three of us girls, but I remember this!

How many of these drawings do you have?
[Frustrating as it probably will be for Alice to look at them and not recognize them, they can probably begin to piece together her life from the drawings, past what she remembers.]

[She loops an arm around Dipper's neck.]

[Alice is still looking at the one of Mr. Dodgson, and doesn't move to pick up any of the others just yet.]
I don't think I've ever counted how many there are? But I thought that if I could draw everything I remembered, it would help me hold onto those memories before something took them. Or even if I forgot one thing, the others might help my memory along. But...then one day, I was looking at all of these pictures of strangers that I couldn't remember drawing. It was so sudden, and it scared me. I-- I never thought so much would happen all at once, especially when it's usually only one thing at a time.

What do you mean, you lost a lot at once? What happened? Was it the Core?
no subject
Was it the Queen of Hearts?
no subject
It was an accident. I...
[It's clearly not something she talks about very much, and for a moment her words fail. Then, she rips off the metaphorical band-aid and blurts it out.]
I fell in. Someone had to pull me out. I-I didn't lose everything that day, but so much was just...gone. I was sick to my stomach nearly a week.
no subject
Who pulled you out? How did you fall?
[Dipper starts pacing, clutching at his hat on his head.]
How long ago was this?

[That's how so many Alice stories go, isn't it? Clumsy Alice always falls down.]
I'm...not sure who saved me. But if they hadn't, I might not be here now.
