[James is already outside when he starts his feed. He's tried his best with the period muggle adventure clothes, he really has. But he's a bit untucked and sloppy. But at least he's got a hat to keep the sun off of his face, and that's the important part, right? And he knows how to tie up boots, sort of, so he's good to go! He's looking particularly excited today.]

So, there's something mysterious over there!

[And he gestures behind him, where the viewer can see the outline of the ruins pretty clearly.]

And I don't you about you lot, but I can't just stay here and stare at it all weekend. This might be the only time I get to go explore ancient Egyptian ruins in my life! I've got to go see them.

[He's bouncing on his heels in the sand a little - every second is one second less he'll be able to explore!]

Well, maybe on a school trip or something once we've all gone back to wherever we came from, but for now, I really think we should take advantage of this.

[Sure, he goes to magic school, but field trips aren't much of a thing at Hogwarts.]

Uh, well, it's less of a school trip than it is a thing where you spend a semester studying at a different school. Not every place has those kind of programs, though.

[He shrugs.]

I'm going to an all-boys' private school, if that makes any difference. I think I understand most of it, at least the ideas, anyway. Actually believing that there's someone on the other side of the mirror who is the opposite of me is another story.

Oh. Huh. It sounds fun, but I don't know if I'd want to be away from my school for that long. I'd be so torn about it! And err...I guess you could call it a private school? But it's co-ed, and split into different houses.

[It's private from Muggles anyway? And do muggle schools even have houses?! He doesn't know.]

Oh, the Mirrors! I've never actually met mine, but I think it all sounds fascinating! I'm sure they'll show up eventually.

[He laughs a little, but really, he'd just miss them terribly and constantly send them owls with things he found in the sand and beg them to skip school and visit him.]

Um. Not exactly? They're in different parts of the castle, and we're all sorted into different ones.
