I know this place is hard to deal with at the best of times, and the past couple of events seem to have been especially bad. If anyone is interested in getting together in a group setting to discuss the things that have happened to them here and share knowledge, coping skills, and emotional support, please respond.

What 'area' do you think the people here need, apart from a sympathetic ear?

Okay, not that far out. But people in recovery are making a major life change by their own choice, and they need help to avoid going back. Here there's not a lot of choice involved, and they can't go back.

...but I'm just thinking aloud, really. Mostly this is just about providing a space for people to support each other.

I think getting all these people together is probably going to be enough to deal with for now.

Understood. I was just curious what your grand design entailed. [Said with a good-natured smile. He thinks this is one of the more worthwhile endeavours that's been put together in this place.]

In that case, I'll be sure and let you know once I have one. [She smiles back, and it's a little self-deprecating, but not too much so. Master plan or not, it feels good to be moving forward with something.]

[He chuckles.] Fair enough. [He picked up a fork and examined it. Perfectly gleaming. Not one spot on it.] This place provides every facility people could need. I'm surprised this isn't something they thought of.

[Joan shrugs.] A lot of people don't like the idea of asking for help, even if they're offering it at the same time.
