[Hello, Wonderland. Clara is currently sitting at the desk in her room, looking very much like a miniature and much less threatening version of the Godfather. She's got her device sitting up on a nearby shelf recording, so it leaves plenty of room to have her hands clasped together and resting on the desk. There's piles of neatly stacked papers resting near her hands, all of her recent notes on a certain subject.

And what is that subject you ask?]

Magic.

[Yep, as much as it pains her to talk about magic, she really has to. But then she realizes that she actually has no idea what she wants to say, her mind's gone totally blank. And she fumbles.]

Magic, magic, magic, magic.

[She buys herself some time with that as uncertainty settles in, but she keeps her business face on.]

Thought I'd hold a bit of discussion on it, magic. Got a few questions about certain kinds of spells, if anyone's experienced in the field.

I never said I heard it from Athos. This place has quite the rumour mill and I'm very sociable.

...Does Athos know more than rumours? Would he know anything about the whispered allegations that you two have been engaging in threesomes involving some English doctor?

[D'Artagnan's eyes widen and he begins to cough, violently, as if choking on a drink. WHO THE HELL HAS BEEN GOING AROUND SAYING THEY'RE HAVING THREESOMES???? He looks away, at Clara for a moment, his own face turning dark red to match hers, and then looks back to the screen.]

Athos knows nothing except what he saw, which isn't a threesome with an English doctor. [Please. As if he'd ever sleep with an Englishman.]

And I didn't go to him for advice on anything. He just...happened to be there.

[Clara's too busy being stunned into silence to say anything at first, and just dumbly nods along with whatever D'Artagnan is saying. But the second the words stop leaving his mouth, she shoves her way over right next to him to give a piece of her mind. Except words still aren't coming to her, so she clamps her jaw shut.]

I've never once been a part of such a thing!

[Oh there her voice finally is. Her teeth are clinched and she still looks mortified, but at least she's able to talk.]

[He looks vaguely disappointed.] Your life together is so much more interesting the way other people tell it.

[She puts a hand up in defense. She knows. It sounds crazy.]

I spent a year thinking Henry's whole curse theory was nonsense, that he was projecting somehow and just really wanted the people around him to be fairy tale characters. It took some pretty dire circumstances to bring me around, but -- I've seen enough proof. Kid made a believer out of me, and they and everyone else in town reinforced it.

Talk to them sometime. You'll see what I mean. Genuine article.

[Honestly, it's what he would probably have to do. He's not exactly an expert on the effects of various curses. He looks sheepish for a second though, when he remembers he hasn't introduced himself, but covers it up with a grin.]
