video;
[This is the expression of a child who just got what he wanted for Christmas, set on a face that would have been suitably boyish if his eyes had not been quite so unnerving. One was a dark grey marble and the other, unnaturally pale with a tiny pinhole pupil. An indistinct feeling of discomfort generally accompanies those who stare at him too long.]
A new scrying stone in my pocket and a new sword? I do hope that everybody's Hogswatch was as happy as mine.

That's a long time to be alive, sir. [His tone lilts, hinting at a question. 'Alive for all eternity' sounds like a challenge to him.]

But that would make you...

[That is one way to finish that sentence anyways.]

[He doesn't seem dissuaded by this in the least.]

[A pause.]
And how long have you been alive? You seem awfully interested.

Not any longer than I should, sir. But immortal seems like a good thing to be. I've been working on that little conundrum myself.

Really? How are you going about that?
I love this thread so much lmfao
[Teatime had never quite mastered the expression for 'sheepish' because he couldn't recall a single time in his life where he felt that way, but he could acknowledge that most people thought it a foolish venture, so he added:]
It's just a theory. A hobby.
It is quite spectacular
Killing Death? It sounds like a fool's errand. In a place like this, dying does not mean a thing. Anybody can achieve immortality in a sense.

Well that's... unnatural. [Disappointment wins this round.]
no subject
Quite unnatural. Something like that being taken away makes living seem almost pointless, doesn't it?

Par for the course for, though, isn't it sir? [He rolls his eyes toward the ceiling thoughtfully] Do immortal folk care about the mortality of others?
no subject
[There is no job here for them. It's sad, but true. They will have to cope with that. Death really wants to be able to take the souls of those that need to be dead right now. He shrugs.]
I care in terms of what is meant to be. It is not morality so much as an order that is in an imbalance here. Caring is for those that live a life that is barely a blip on the radar if even that.
