Based on my experience, I don't know that it has any limitations. It can completely change the entire environment and convince us that it was always like that.

...That is one way to look at it. You do create memories while you're here, but the percentage of memories we acquire is much greater than the percentage of memories that are taken.

How do you even realize what memories you've lost? Doesn't the whole memory loss thing mean that you don't remember? What if we've forgotten more than we realize?

I'm not a very good person to ask that of. I imagine that as the memory loss increases, however, we would notice the gaps up to a certain point. Beyond that, our awareness of it would probably decrease again.

That's... That's really messed up.

If it's any consolation, I think that it would take a very long time for it to get that point. Decades, probably.
