[Jo looks panicked when she addresses the network, though it's that very forcibly restrained sort of panic that she's known for displaying in stressful situations. She learned a long time ago that fear is not necessarily a bad thing; it keeps you sharp, and sometimes it's smart to be scared -- like now. So long as you don't let it get the better of you, fear can be used to your advantage. She's not expecting any opportunities to weaponize it during this particular event, but it has given her the presence of mind to wrestle back control from her mirror long enough to put out a warning.]

I probably don't have a lot of time, but if you see me, turn in the other direction immediately. Get behind closed doors, line the door and any windows with salt, throw holy water at me, whatever you have to do. I'm fighting her as hard as I can, but I can't keep her back forever. Whatever you do, avoid--

[She stops suddenly, any and all trace of panic or distress ebbing away as though they'd never been there in the first place. Instead, she smiles, slow and menacing while at the same time just a little too cheerful and self-satisfied.]

Awfully rude, isn't she? Don't pay attention to her. I promise, I'm more fun than she'll ever be.

[Remus likes this mess. It's annoying, having that spineless, simpering werewolf sharing in in the body, that and not having access to all of his darker, more powerful magic and claws. But he still has certain spells, certain ways of making that other him curl in on himself in abject horror.

It's delicious and he grins as he catches sight of yet another new toy to play with. One whose scent is familiar to the other wolf. The weak omega simpering with his tail between his legs. Snarling and crying and throwing himself at the walls.

See what weakness gets you, pup? This is what it gets you.]

Now, would this be the fear or the sulfur stench I'm speaking to, this lovely afternoon?

[There's a hint in his voice of some predatory amusement and he almost, almost hopes it's the other one. The one fighting to get control back. The one who wants everyone to run away. It would just be much more fun. For Everyone. Well. For him, at least.]

[When it comes to Jo's announcement, there's little question of what she's getting at. Her Mirror is a demon, and while that's not what Castiel would have expected, he's not about to ignore her warning.

Demons may not be much of a match for him, but they are dangerous and he's never been one to underestimate that kind of thing.

This is the exact kind of situation where his powers could be of use. Castiel hasn't seen much of Jo lately due to everything that's happened between her and Dean, but this has nothing to do with that. Jo is still a friend, and she needs his help right now.

First he has to figure out out Jo's location, but outright asking the Mirror won't work, so he'll need to have a conversation with her by phone and see if he can get some kind of clue through that.]

I think that would depend on your definition of fun.

[Mirror Crowley is looking severely bedraggled by now, but at least he's had the good sense to put his wings away.] Oh you do look like fun, don't you? But looks can be deceiving.

Rude.

[Regardless, she seems vaguely entertained by his turn of phrase. Catchy. She likes you -- cautiously, but likes all the same.]

Can't you tell? She's throwing a hissy fit about me being the one in charge. She really is a downer, let me tell you.

I'm guessing it's a lot broader than yours is, handsome.

[Castiel. The name pops up unbidden, thanks to her Real's memories, and she takes a moment to roll her eyes. Of course the Winchesters' feathered friend would swoop in the moment he caught a whiff of a demon.]

My kind throws much better parties than yours.

Deceit is part of the gig, isn't it?

[She smirks. Even over the video, she can tell he's not exactly her kind, but close enough for it not to matter. The yellow eyes conjure up fond memories of a certain former general, in fact -- not to mention Sam himself.]

I ought to introduce you to the boss next time he's around, we're always more than happy to meet like-minded individuals.

Naturally. He's been so curious about your kind, you know. As am I. Like, how do you compare to our kind, mm? I wonder. Be nice to run a few tests...

[ telling cordelia to run in the other direction? so not a thing that's going to happen. if anything, she'll be like a vampire to blood. and jo's a friend, someone that she does feel rather protective over. and while cordelia doesn't have gunn or fred or lorne or wesley here, she has her own make-shift wonderland family. and jo's part of that. there's no way in hell she's going to allow for any repeats of what she went through. ]

[ too bad she didn't get a vision to tell her that her wish won't be coming true. ]

[ with her eyebrow arched, cordelia's anything but buying what mirror jo is trying to sell. ] Something tells me that that might not be completely true.

[Jo's not sure if it's the familiar voice that does it for her, but she manages to claw her way back into control, at least for a few moments. There's no telling how long it'll last, but she's glad to hear from Cordelia. Cordelia's no stranger to the mystical or the demonic, even if their worlds have some pretty glaring differences. It's enough. She trusts Cordelia to take her seriously on this.]

Cordy, I need you to do me a favor. I need a pair of--

I'm sure we'll find we have all sorts of things in common.

[Differences, too, but not enough to matter, she's sure.]

Though even among our kind, there are factions, of course.

[Lucifer loyalists being the only faction she's interested in.]

[And just like that, as though someone had gone ahead and flipped a switch, Jo is gone and her mirror is back.]

She must be pretty desperate if she thinks asking for help is going to do anything. Like I'm not going to shut her down immediately.

[Stupid humans. As vessels went, hers was a good one in that she was fit and strong and well-trained with a real-world connection to a certain antichrist, but she really can't stand the simpering do-gooder angle. Irritating.]

[ Like she's going to miss an opportunity like this. On one hand, getting under Jo's skin is one of Meg's favorite pastimes, and this seems like a prime time to get to it. Obviously, the hunter is not happy about her mirror, and what doesn't make Jo happy?

Makes Meg pleased.

On the other, though, this demon is always ready to dismiss mirrors as unimportant in general. They aren't even real, just copies of whoever's over here. Not worth her time.

Her need to poke at Jo a little, though, is just too great to ignore. ]

Salt and holy water? Sounds like your life is suddenly coming up demons. [ How cute. Meg looks downright smug at this point. ] So, who's in the driver's seat now? Boring Barbie or Demon Barbie?

A-Ah! Jo, are you okay? Did...did you...are you hurt at all? Is there anything I can do?

[Tohru has a vague understanding of what's going on, but she hasn't been hit herself just yet. At the very least, she knows many of the Mirrors are dangerous, and she respects Jo's warning by sending a video instead.]

I'll take your word for it, if you need me to stay away, but if there's anything I can do at all from a distance...please, let me know. You shouldn't have to go through this by yourself.

[It's only a guess, but he imagines this Mirror is referring to the kind of "party" that involves a lot of death and mayhem. Demons don't tend to stray too far from that pattern, and the predictability at least makes her simple enough to deal with.

He doesn't like hearing words like that from Jo, or seeing her face contort into the sort of expressions that the demon prefers, but all he can do is try to stop her as soon as he can.]

And do you plan on throwing a party like that here? [He eyes her warily, still looking for some kind of clue as to where in the mansion she's communicating from.]

[Jo grimaces to herself, glaring irately at the video feed. Meg. Exactly who she didn't want to hear from. Meg is on her bad side by default, and Jo is unhappy to see her on the best of days. Today is no different.]

Oh, I'm sure you're loving this.

[It's taking a hell of a lot of effort to keep her Mirror shoved down long enough for her to say anything at all, but it's worth it.]

Factions, you say? Marvelous. I suppose that would be in character, wouldn't it--a constant state of civil war.

We're not all carbon copies. Not all of us want the same things.

I'll be honest with you, sweetheart -- it's not much of a war. My guys always come out on top.

[Jo's mirror wrinkles her nose distastefully. Well, isn't this sweet.]

Humans are always tripping over themselves to help each other, aren't they. Hate to break it to you -- that's a major flaw. Makes you easy prey for all sorts of nasty things. Though I'm sure Jo would be touched if she could hear.

[Oh wait, she can. Her mirror smirks, self-satisfied, and takes a moment to search her Real's memories.]

Tohru, isn't it?

Of course, of course. Where I'm from, though, no one has the stones to try and rebel against Satan. It didn't exactly go well the first time we rebelled against something.

[He says, knowing he has never actually been there.]

Those who are foolish enough to speak out against Lucifer don't usually last very long.

[She frowns, disapproving. As it should be, in her opinion.]

There are those who don't approve of who he chose to lead his army, but showing their dissent? Tsk tsk.

[She clucks her tongue softly.]

That's a one-way ticket to the very depths of the pit.

I haven't decided yet. The boss doesn't seem to be around.

[And if he was, he probably wouldn't like it. The question is, will getting to play her way be worth the scolding she'll get when Sam finds out?

Well. Usually, yes.

Besides, it's not as if he's against a little mayhem, he just prefers their actions to be organized. Deliberate. That gets a little dull from time to time.

The camera shifts slightly, and a glimpse over her shoulder may just give Castiel enough to place her in one of the tea rooms.]

Anyways, I'm not talking genocide. I do have some restraint.

[But not much.]

As it should be. [A grin.] This bloody moron might as well be a traitor. Helped stopped the Apocalypse, he did. How he got out of that without Lucifer tearing him to ribbons is beyond me.

["Adam happens to like us."]

One of his many crimes as a demon, really. It's disgusting, sharing a body with him.

Well, you know what they say about assumptions and all that bollocks.

[But he doesn't look the least bit apologetic, now does he? He grins and it's a flash of bright teeth and an expression this version of him doesn't often make. It's almost obvious, the way it stretches his muscles to make the expression.]

Doesn't surprise me. Every single one I've had the displeasure of bumping into so far, has been. This one included. You should hear his pathetic little cries for help. Or was that for me to stop? I can never tell. He carries on so much I just tune out the background noise.

[Everything about Jo is suddenly different, and it sends a chill down Tohru's spine.]

You're...you're not Jo anymore...

[And for a moment, she seems terrified. But she stands strong anyway. She has to try and be strong, for Jo's sake.]

U-Um, yes! I'm Tohru. Tohru Honda. Please...I'm not really sure what's going on, but. But please, don't hurt Jo!

[ If there's a chance to grate on any of Jo's nerves, she should know that Meg will be in the front of the line a this point.

She wouldn't want her to feel neglected. ]

Love is pushing it. It's funny. Like one of those jokes someone tells that everyone gives a good chuckle over, and then forgets what it was about two seconds later.

[ Implying that Jo's misery isn't her sole source of entertainment, but she's seriously downplaying that. Ever since the hell hounds and the...mutually non-hatred between them for that little amount of time had thrown her off her game a little. Thus, she obviously needs to make up for it by being extra dickish. ]

You got yourself a little demon copy running around. It's cute, I should be sure to introduce myself to her if she makes an appearance. You know how we demons love our own kind.
