[How are you doing, Wonderland? Good? Okay-ish? Wonderful! The would-be duplicate Alice is currently pacing about her room which is a nervous tick she developed long, long ago. She likes a confide space, ironically, so a room of her own is fantastic. And spacious compared to her last. That is, if anyone can ignore the fact that she's actually not the most tidy person around.

Alice has done away with her previous blood-stained (or soaked, rather) blue pinafore dress, her trademark appearance. All that's left for her is a very Victorian nightgown, that seems almost scandalous to be in without any sort of robe, but Alice can only do with what she's has for now. Sadly, it's been something more than she's had in years, too.

She tends to be very restless when worked up and stressed. It's not even the walkers from beforehand, it's much more simpler than that.]

I very much would like if I had something other than what I have to barter with those vendors outside of the mansion. I was considerably lucky to convince at least one woman to give me what I have now.

Why would they require a currency- no, this is the land of nonsense and the inconsistent. I shouldn't ask such things. Perhaps if it's not too bold to ask... may I have assistance finding better garments?

[Alice pretty much plops her dress out of her hands, grateful that the blood is dried.]

After that I am not sure what else to do.

What's beyond the sky? I... I've haven't seen anything like that before.

You've never even heard about it?

[He knows most people here have never seen it, but the fact that someone's never even heard of space...]

Well, it's...the universe. I'm not even sure how to explain it, I mean...there's so much to it. But beyond the sky there are stars, and all sorts of other planets, and... Well, a lot of space between them all. Hence calling it space, I guess.

Stars?

[For a moment, her eyes grow wide as she tries to picture a very vast night sky, like the ones she saw as a child in Oxford.]

A night sky? Are there a lot of stars?

Oh yeah, tons of stars. More than you can count. Maybe even an infinite number, no one's really sure.

[He shrugs, but he's smiling a little now; it's always fun to tell people about space, their reactions are always so interesting and varied, and...well, he's always really liked the stars.]

It's pretty amazing, honestly.

Have you ever taken a photograph of it?

[Oh, no, Alice wants to see.]

Oh. Uhm. Somewhere along the line, I think I did. But I don't have it here with me.

[An apologetic looks crosses his face, but a moment later, his expression lights back up.]

I've heard the library has all kinds of books from other worlds, though! There might be some in there with pictures of space. Or at least ones that explain it all in better detail than I could ever manage.

[She sounds amused by the idea, but hey, it's something to do and Alice is always eager.]

Oh, uh... You're welcome?

[A little befuddled by her answer, his head tilts just slightly to one side.]

Why is that funny, exactly?

Nothing at all. It just seems it's strange that a library exists here.

Strange because it's so sensible?

[And Wonderland is usually so far from being sensible.]
