[Is that the sound of sleigh bells jingling, and—

No. No jingling here. In fact, it's more like crashing. Toothless had left the decorations alone, at first, but now he's discovered that it makes noise when you paw at it. Life may never be the same in the mansion again, at least until January. He doesn't understand it all (why would you want just one tree when you could have a forest) but he's determined to enjoy it.

The view on his comm shows him, every so often, rampaging around the mansion. He can be easily found by sound alone, chewing on things and dragging decorations around. Purely on accident, a giant red bow has tangled haphazardly around his neck.]

[Amy watches him carefully, taking in his mannerisms. A soft smile touches her face when she realizes he's friendly.]

Friendly it is, then.

[She walks up to him and reaches a hand out to him.]

Are you one of Wonderland's creatures or were you brought here, too?

[Toothless nods to the latter, before he leans forward and presses his snout to the palm of her hand, trilling. He likes this Viking. She talks to him like he's a real, thinking creature, as he is, rather than a pet like most of the mansion treats him. Which is fine, when all is said and done, but change is nice.]

[She laughs softly at his reply, marveling at how well he seems to understand her.] You're certainly a smart one, too.

[She reaches over and pokes fondly at his bow.]

Getting into the Christmas spirit, too, are you?

[He blinks, expressive face shifting into confusion as he cants his head to the side.

Christmas?

What's Christmas?]

[She notices his change in expression and pats his cheek.]

You don't have Christmas where you're from, do you? Well, you see, it's this time of year where everyone gets presents for those they care about. They decorate everything with lights and garlands and pretty bows.

[She straightens his ribbon.]

And they invite everyone over for dinner.

[Her own dinners are typically small. She invites her parents, her aunt, and Rory's dad along. There's always a place for the Doctor and River, even if they rarely join them. She smiles at Toothless.]

Looks like I'll be celebrating it with you and everyone else here. What do you think I should ask the dining room to help me prepare?

[Oh. Hm. That sounds nice.

It's too bad Hiccup isn't around to celebrate.

Toothless absorbs it all for a moment before he nods. She should take advantage of the never-ending food to help her, she really should. Cooking looks very tedious to Toothless. He doesn't understand why Vikings do it.]

[She smiles at his nodding, not at all worried that she's having a conversation with a dragon.]

It does make things easier, doesn't it. No more needing to get up at five am to get the turkey going. Or, pushing Rory out of bed to get the turkey going. And then having to make everything else and make sure everyone likes it all. If they have a problem with anything, they can just wish it up themselves.

[She turns back and looks at him.]

Do you have any celebrations back where you're from?

[Toothless is a surprisingly good conversationalist, when one considers the fact that he can't speak and can only write very specific things.

He shakes his head. He hasn't been with the Vikings at Berk long enough to experience the Snoggletog festival. Toothless isn't sure what, exactly, the Vikings are celebrating, as everything seems to be exactly the way it was. Was there some big victory recently? Or was a little Viking born? He cocks his head to the side and rumbles uncertainly.]
