+ Doing a Little House Keeping (FAQ) +

First of all, this is not an event announcement/plot post. We kind of went overboard with that recently. ;;

Instead, since I have the week off from school, I'm doing a little house-keeping in the form of updating the FAQ! YAY, IT'S ABOUT TIME! :D

Things that are being added into it:
- The map, and other updated location information.
- Updated information on the Mod Plot stuff (like Alice)
- Information on memes.
- Annnd a couple other assorted things that don't really fit into broader categories like that. And fixing silly typos.

However, I know I'm probably forgetting things, and there's probably stuff that you guys want in the FAQ, so that's what this post is for! Is there anything you've been wondering about that you can't seem to find an answer for? Or maybe something that you'd like more clarification on? Or maybe even something you've pinged us about on AIM and don't actually see in the FAQ? Ask and/or tell us here at this post! The FAQ is meant to help you guys, so it seems silly to have it and not offer the floor to you once in a while.

I don't think any of you guys would, but I have to stick a reminder that things like "You guys suck" and "Why haven't you done X, Y, or Z yet?" and "Mods, can you pay my college tuition?" are not questions that go in the FAQ (That first one isn't even a question!). That's more stuff for the Inquiries page.

Anyway, actually updating the FAQ page is going to take me a few days, but I'll link it to the main community again when I'm done with all the edits.

...and since I'm already here, maybe a slightly expanded 'what can you get out of the closet' section? Unless I'm the only one who's made it her life's goal to come up with the absurdest closet items possible.

OHOHOHAND I hope I didn't just overlook or forget this already, but I remember not finding any information on how to "use" the vendors, that is I was confused whether you could just handwave purchases or if you had to thread / ask mod permission / something first. Also maybe a (very) rough guideline of how much they charge for what kind of items, assuming that's even possible with the large number of available things and currencies? /nitpicky

OKAY. That's it I think at least until I vomit up my next batch of questions. I hope that was FAQ-y enough. /quietly sneaks away

I had a comment about this question:
"Is everyone dead when they arrive?
Only characters who arrive post-death in their canon timeline are considered to be dead upon arrival."

So I know that Kakayo is a ghost so she'll be considered dead when she's brought to Wonderland.

But I'm not sure if there's anywhere specific in the FAQ that states something about that characters who died in their canon like Aikawa Yuu from Doubt. Unlike Kayako, these characters are brought back to life and are considered alive now that they are in Wonderland.

They also don't have their "first death" count toward the five in-game deaths either, correct?

I'd love clarification on how the network works. Are there place holders that say there is a message posted if the message is locked from the general public that would facilitate a need/want to hack it? In general, does the way the network looks and for the most part works mimic the way LJ does so far as the readiness and availability of looking at non-private marked comment threads?

I'll post with more, I'm sure, but that's the one I most would love clarification on.

I know it's hinted towards on the community profile but it might be good to have something clarifying exactly how and where they arrive at the mansion? I assume they don't wake up there because of how the rooms are claimed but it might be useful to have a specific "you are here when you first arrive".

I also agree with more info on the closets/vendors. Specifically the kinds of things you can barter with and whether you can get said bartering material from the closets (or if there's a block on items wanted for barter only as there is with money)
