[The feed cuts on to reveal a young boy. His curly blonde hair seems to have an almost ethereal glow about it and he's wearing a look that, while innocent in appearance, clearly hides something mischievous as made evident by the gleam in his bright blue eyes. His accent is English and, despite the fact that he's clearly somewhere in the preteen age range, it's obvious when he starts speaking that things like proper grammar and pronunciation are not important concerns of his.

He also sounds ridiculously casual given the circumstances.]

So I reckon I ought to start with an introduction. Seems only polite. [a bit of shuffling] My name's Adam. That's Adam Young, to be 'spific. [a pause as he absently scratches the side of his nose] And any other time I'd have my dog with me but for some reason he's not here. [there's a hint of a frown at that and he mutters a little under his breath] Which ain't all that right, if you ask me. If you ask me, you can't just up and kidnap a boy and not bring his dog, too. [a pause and he clarifies] Not saying they should bring Dog here, 'course. Just saying it's not right, is all.

[A shake of his head and he smiles sweetly for the camera once more.] Still, suppose it's likely for the best and there's no real changing it no how. [Well, there is, but he's only just arrived. Probably best he not start changing things up too much.]

What I really want to talk about is this place and what you lot know about it. Anything'll do. I just figured I ought to get some facts sorted before I start working things out on my own, is all. [A slight pause.] Uh… and that's it for now. Thanks!

But you still died because they cheated. I don't see much right about that at all. [A pause then, grudgingly] But I reckon what's done is done and there's no sense in changing it.

There is nothing to change, after all. It is long since over at this point. We've moved on from that. Though it is slightly reassuring of death's impermanence...

[Adam looks dubious but let's it slide. For now.] Least there's that. [A pause.] So this place can really just make folks human? Just like that? [And now he's intrigued.] I can think of a few folks back home who could stand to 'sperience that.

It can and has.

Huh. I wonder what that'd be like. [He shrugs, figuring he'll either find out eventually or he won't.] So these other angels and demons and stuff. What're they like?

It isn't terribly fun from my perspective.

Er.... The others? I only met Castiel once. He's... Very business-like. Gabriel... [He frowns.] He seems like a decent being, but I find him insufferable. Michael, on the other hand is... [He has to chose his words wisely. Many he wants to say would not be appropriate for the boy to hear.] He has a closed mind. And then there is Crowley... [He pronounces the name differently than the Crowley they both know. More like "cow", less like "crow".] He is... interesting. A bit of a puzzle, but I suppose that has somewhat to do with how their universe is arranged.

[Adam nods thoughtfully at the descriptions. He'll ask Crowley, too - their Crowley, that is - once he gets the chance. The way Adam figures it, hearing both of their opinions will give him as close to a fair assessment of the others before he crosses their paths.

The figurative angel and demon, on his respective shoulders. Adam idly wonders if either of them have figured out that's how he views them but he's not going to bother to ask. Instead he has another question in mind.]

Any of 'em giving you two any trouble? [Because that is something Adam just won't let slide.]

Er... [Now Aziraphale is many things but he has never thought himself a snitch.] I wouldn't say any of them have given us trouble so much as there is a difficulty in understanding one another.

[The slight frown Adam sends his way makes it pretty clear he's not on board with Aziraphale's way of wording things, but he doesn't push. Crowley's the one he figures will give him the real skinny on what's going on in that regard. So after a second the frown fades and he nods. His smile is a thin, knowing one.]

Funny thing 'bout stuff like that. Most folks start understanding awful quick when stuff's said plainly enough.

I'm fairly certain I spoke entirely plainly. He just can't see past his prejudice. It's rather disheartening.

[Before he and Crowley had been exposed as a couple on the network for all to see, he had started thinking of Michael as a friend. He was hugely disappointed to find out how wrong he was.]

[There's a slight sigh of mild irritation. Adam really doesn't want to have to scold an Archangel. He doesn't imagine it's going to be very productive. But he also doesn't see himself having much of a choice, here. Aziraphale and Crowley are his and he won't stand for anyone to mess them about. No, he needs to deal with this, as much as part of him really just wants to enjoy his holiday.]

Right. Well, suppose I'll just have to see if I can speak a bit more plainly to him, is all. [A faint shrug as if to say that's that, and he offers Aziraphale a sweet smile.]

And I wouldn't worry too much 'bout what other folks think. Way I see it, it's just their opinions and those don't matter all that much 'less you let 'em.

Er... You really don't have to go to the trouble... [It's his problem, after all, not Adam's.]

[Adam shakes his head. He's already made up his mind and there's a firmness in his gaze even as his easygoing grin returns.] 'Snot any trouble. It's just somethin' that needs to happen, is all. [He shrugs, his tone very matter-of-fact.] 'Sides, I reckon he and I are gonna have to talk about a few things if'n we're expected to be stuck in this place together.

[He pauses, considers cheating a bit and just knowing the answer to his next question, then changes his mind and refocuses on Aziraphale.]

So what's his problem anyway? What's he bein' prejudice about?

[Oh, how is he supposed to respond to such a question? Especially when there's more than one answer. He considers his words before answering. He isn't certain how Crowley would feel about the boy learning of their relationship.]

The short answer would be demons.

[Adam's pretty sure he doesn't even have to know things the way he just knows them for it to be obvious there's something Aziraphale isn't saying. He isn't going to press, though. Folks are entitled to their secrets and the answer he's been given is more than enough reason for him to have a little chitchat with Michael. That's the important thing to him, not knowing everything.

Even if it takes him a few seconds of really considering cheating and just knowing before he reaches that decision. Once he does, he nods his head once in a matter-of-fact way.]

'Kay. Then I'll talk to him. [He smiles.] Don't worry, though. It'll most likely just be a talk. 'Snot like I'm goin' to go tryin' to teach him a lesson just on account of him not treatin' folks right. [At first, at any rate.]

Demons are very different in his world than they are from ours. They... They were once <>human, but were corrupted and twisted into what they are now. Michael seemed to, er... He seemed to take exception to learning that Crowley was once an angel.

[That gives the boy pause for about 4 seconds or so before his opinion all but erupts from him. His tone is severe, bordering on furious, and his expression is a mixture of confusion and anger.]

Well that's just dumb! Judgin' folks like that. Who asked his opinion, besides? [He continues, clearly not pleased and seemingly unaware of the darkness that's slowly but surely twisting its way out, from deep inside of him as he rushes on with barely a pause to draw a breath.]

Seems to me, it's none of his business what Crowley once was and what he is now. Seems to me, if'n he wants to have a problem with the way things work there, he oughta take it up with God or learn t'stuff it! [He's intending on continuing, possibly going to pay Michael a visit right now, but he pauses suddenly as realization of how he's acting begins to occur to him. Going still, he draws in a breath. He's still scowling when he speaks again, but the intensity about him is once again under control.]

Yeah, I reckon me and him are goin' to have to chat once I'm settled a bit. Somebody has gotta try talkin' some sense into him.

[He hadn't been expecting quite that reaction. Not at all. His brow burrows, tone growing concerned.]

Really, dear... It's not... I would expect others of my kind to react similarly when it comes to my relationship with Crowley. It's disappointing, yes. But entirely expected. You really don't need to make a fuss.

[The boy shakes his head a bit.] I'm not goin' to make a fuss. I'm just goin' to make sure he knows that I won't stand for bullyin'. Don't worry. It'll be fine. [For Adam, at any rate.]

[The angel dithers for a moment. He knows it's folly to try and talk the antichrist out of something he wants to do. He supposes it'll be okay if they just talk...]

I... A-alright, dear. If you insist...
