Now, I've heard the Red Queen speak compare crashes to forces of nature--gravity, storms, tidal waves.
The question is whether that's more riddling and metaphors, or something we could actually measure.

[ Why not just show her?? He raises a hand-- one now covered in stars. While Chell can't see Tusk, it's pretty obvious that his fingernails are spinning. He maneuvers the camera with his other hand so she can see where he's aiming.
Johnny fires one of his nail bullets, manipulating the hole it makes in a near wall in a lazy fashion. He remains silent as the hole spirals about and eventually slows to a halt.
Next, he sets the camera down on his lap so he can shoot his other arm. On the same wall, another moving hole appears-- one that now has Johnny's hand sticking out of it, waving. ]
