It's been nice lately, and since something just happened I thought it would be a good idea to do something before the next disaster.
[ Definitely over stating things but it only took one word rather than 'crazy event that is crazy and inexplicable' ]
There's a great beach if you walk a little bit out from the mansion. It would be nice if we all got together and just did something - enjoy a day of doing something normal. [ Normal to her and anyone that would know what a beach party was. Obviously. Everyone else should come learn and have fun ]
Maybe bring a picnic and... whatever it is you'd want to do? There's probably enough room if anyone set up a game of something. [ Cliched beach volleyball anyone? ] We should enjoy doing something. And it'd be a nice way to get to know more of the people here - instead of running into them when something bad happens. I was thinking it could happen in the next few days?
( ooc; beach log over here!! everyone go crazy )

There's a rare sentence...

Such is the nature of Wonderland. If it made sense, it wouldn't be Wonderland.

[It would definitely be a nice change after the last event. And every event before it.]

That's really kind of you! I wouldn't want to inconvenience you at all though - I'm sure you'll be very busy with the party, right?

( She could have a bag with a couple of spare blankets in it but getting the food down would be nice. Tohru's already being great by offering to bring them some )

[It really is going to be a lot of food, after all.]

[Since it's her party, there should definitely be food she likes there!]

I'm thinking ham. Thanks.

Adam isn't so much the person who joins in on a parade as he is the rain that ruins it, but Quinn's message is stirs his curiosity enough for him to venture a reply.
Besides, Quinn seems pretty normal and normal people need to stick together.]
Hey. You're throwing a beach party? Is it spring break already?
voice;
( It hadn't been anywhere near that when she'd been arrived, but she didn't know what it was supposed to be either )
The weather's nice enough either way.

People deserve normal.]
Knock yourself out. No point worrying about what might happen all the time.
[He snorts in mild amusement at the mention of snow. He's had enough crazy adventures in the snow already. If they get another helping of it, does it count as his anniversary? A way to mark off a year? There hadn't been any changing seasons in Lucifer's Cage, nothing to tell time except his own longing to get out.
The idea of being in Wonderland for a full year doesn't make him feel like much of a veteran.]
Time seems like it moves the same. Have you heard if anyone knows the months go by like normal? Looks that way.

[Which is to say he gets why she hadn't bothered to go on a fact-finding mission in all this time. It's enough just to stay afloat sometimes... and Wonderland is doubly hard on human beings who don't have special powers (or angels on their shoulders) to make life easier.
And then he pauses, having forgotten about people reporting how out of sync time is for them, like some people arriving in Wonderland in the winter when it'd been summer where they'd been. Downstairs, all twelve months looked the same. He'd taken a long time to even figure out what month it was supposed to be in Wonderland.]
Right. I've heard that before. If we had a dollar for every time Wonderland didn't make sense...

( Get to go somewhere - anywhere that meant not being caught up in the events. Even home. not that she knew what he'd have to go back to )
An explanation for one thing would be nice.

[But hey, what does he care? He'd been freeloading in Lucifer's Cage thanks to Sam, the ultimate shitty hostel. He'll happily upgrade to the mansion life until Wonderland sees fit to toss him out on his ass.
Living this way and getting the chance to talk about beach parties makes it particularly easy to ignore some of the extensive mental trauma he's lugging around...]
Well... doubt we're gonna get that. Doing this thing before something weird happens again'll have to be good enough. Hey, it's not like you have to worry about the weather--it never gets bad.
[Maybe the weather mostly staying calm and moderate is Wonderland's way of making up for events.]

It snows here, so unless you like the cold... But a barbeque, that sounds pretty good.
no subject
( Okay so snow wasn't always that awful. Maybe it just wasn't heavy snow )
Next month then, or after the next event. A small barbeque.

Heh, yeah, that sounds bad, but as far as I know, it dumped snow on the ground a grand total of once and stayed like that the whole way through. Not that bad. No blizzards or Sasquatch invasions.
[Adam could just imagine Wonderland kicking them out of the mansion to survive in the middle of an ice storm. Hypothermia and death, fun.
He still sounds good-humored enough when he replies to her next comment.]
Sounds cool.
