[ Cue up one particularly irate face. He's trying his hardest to act calm, to not to let the vein by his temple throb with his obvious distaste. It's an obvious struggle between professionalism and an outright rant, one that'll spread and engulf all in its wake like a broken levy. If it breaks. Probably not a good idea to find out.

To anyone who reads this transmission, this is Starfleet officer Leonard McCoy speakin'. Anyone affiliated with Starfleet or the Federated Planets, please respond immediately. [ And he does mean immediately, because to hell with this standing out in the open shit! He's just asking to be kidnapped by unfriendly natives. ] Or, Hell, I'd take a damn Nibiran at this point...

[ With a grim huff, he looks askance for a moment before his attention rests back on the screen. The likelihood another officer is going to hear his transmission seems moot, so he tries for a Plan B as well. ]

I'll also take a point in the direction of whatever passes for a foreign embassy or emergency care facility around here...

Starfleet?

[Like space? Emma wrinkles her nose a little as she considers the initial message. Really, with as long as she's been here -- and with her origins -- there isn't much that should take her by surprise, but somehow, she almost always manages to be skeptical all the same.

Wait. Wait. That's right. The name rings a bell.]

You know a James Kirk?

[Oh, oh! Someone who sort of speaks his language! That is, space and possibly military. Space at the very least.]

I read you. This is Agent Washington. I'm afraid...I don't know that anyone affiliated with those groups is here.

[There could be. He's not sure. Hasn't met anyone who's mentioned it, anyway...]

There's no embassy either, but we do have a clinic. It's on the first floor of the mansion. Are you injured?

-- What is an emergency care facility?

[ she's curious. she knows what those words mean apart from each other (for the most part) but can only wonder at their grouping together. so perhaps she is not the most welcoming soul, but her eyes are alert and curious. ]

[Starfleet? Sometimes Billy really does think this entire place is his imagination and he's had some sort of mental break.]

No Starfleet or Federated planets here. You're in Wonderland, and yes that's exactly what it sounds like.

::Oh hey. Ed recognizes this guy, not that he expects to be recognized. It's been too long since he was last here.::

Hey again. Place is called Wonderland. Yes, like the books and the Queen of Hearts lives on the other side of the mirrors.

[ The only reason the video turns on? She knocked her phone off the counter trying to tuck it into her pocket, because now she's laughing. Hysterical laughing, but laughing.

Give her a minute, and she might even apologize. ]

No embassy here but there is a clinic.

[She offers with a slight smile.]

( The most relevant question: ) What's a Nibiran?

[It's a young blonde woman. The room behind her is elegantly decorated in shades of pale blue.]

There aren't any embassies here.

[Her tone, which had been somewhere between prim and rueful, shifts to curiosity.]

I'm sure you'll be asked this a lot, but would it be good or bad to see a Nibrian? I've never heard of it.

[ The great difference between the younger Hannibal Lecter and the older is their placement in time. Unlike his younger self, he was raised with Star Trek on his television screen, as a young boy desperate for something on television to be worthy of his attention. It was, for a short period of time. He knows the names, none of what he says is entirely nonsensical, and Jim Kirk was here himself for a short time.

He doesn't recognize this particular face to go with the name, but well, that would not be a first here.

He makes the connection, impassive as if merely ascribing polite interest. ]

Unfortunately Doctor, you're not going to find what you're looking for here.

[Martha recognizes that face, and that irritated tone of voice. She and Dr. McCoy hadn't been able to interact for too long before Wonderland whisked him away again, but she knows he's an accomplished doctor, and one she'd be glad to have back at the clinic if she could.]

Martha Jones, here. As you've no doubt worked out by now, you're a long way from home. [She smiles sympathetically.]

I'm one of the few who runs Wonderland's clinic. We'd love to have you on staff there, given that you may be here for a bit longer than you'd like.

[It may be forward of her to mention that to him when he's still brand new, but on the other hand, having something to ground him might help with the adjustment.]
