[In light of recent network posts, Souji's a little hesitant to claim ownership of that last event. He hesitates on screen for a minute, looking off to the side before his eyes flicker over to look into the camera.]
For the record, the speed dating went a lot better here than it did at home.
[He rubs the back of his neck, not quite embarrassed and not quite apologetic, then shrugs. It is what it is. No need to feel bad about it.]
It was kind of nice to see home again.
[He's been away a long time.]

So a fable is a person who's a character from a story. Stories. Right?
[....]
...I bet interesting events would come from your world.
Video
Events? ... you mean like what we just went through?
No. Oh, no. You don't want anything from Fabletown to come here. This place is mad enough.

Secondly, the Fables aren't like anything you've read in the storybooks. They're people with lives and most of them are pretty pissed off they're in exile.
Ever see what happens when people are married for over four hundred years? Trust me kid, it's not always pretty.

...And what's so bad about New York?
[So many questions.]
Video
And New York is... well, it's a town you either love or you hate. Not many people can handle it. It's an acquired taste.

It's home, now. Don't think I'd return to the Homelands even if the Adversary were defeated today. The city has a way of getting under your skin.
Video
So Fabletown is in such a big city. That probably camouflages it really well.

[That was pretty cool.]
Do you ever want to go anywhere else?

I'm happy in the city. The only thing I'd change is the smell. The old nose picks up far more than I like at times.

[Of course, he doesn't say that it's not the residence of Fabletown that need to tell him to leave. Hell, he's been hearing 'get lost' since he showed up in town. It's Snow that matters and Snow still wants him around. That's why he stays.]

I hear that Canada has some nice forests. Might go camp out there for awhile, enjoy the change of scenery and get back to my roots, I guess.
For the moment, I'm comfortable where I'm at. Hate to admit it, but I've gotten kind of used to living in New York. No other town like it.

I think that's how all cities are. They're all unique and they all get under your skin, one way or another.
