...yeah, sometimes. I miss the people, and the... most people are pretty tightly knit. It's nice.

Pretty normal most of the time. Last year an evil fog started coming into our town from another dimension, but we took care of that.

...huh. That sounds like it was an experience. How do you fight fog?

We beat the god who was causing it. [Well, it was two gods, but one of them controlled the other, so he guesses it can be counted as one. Whatever.] After that, things went back to normal.

That's pretty damn impressive. [Defeating a god... that's more than zoms.]

It isn't a good idea to hang onto unrealistic hopes. But I think that not having hope is worse.

Yeah.... It's not. [Souji glances down, but the distant look that creeps onto his face only lasts a second. When he looks back up, he's back to normal.]

I think humans are capable of almost anything. [Including putting things back the way they should be.]
