Hello~!? Is there any one- woah.

[There was a new face in Wonderland and at the moment she was covered in dirt. After spending the night inside a dirt hole (thanks for that, Illumi) she was finally making her way about the mansion. She had just walked into the dinner room and pulled her glasses up in awe.]

This is fancy. What did I stumble upon, some sort of palace?

[She reached a table and picked up a glass flicking at it just to make sure she wasn't dreaming all of this up. Luxuries like these were rare if not non-existent in her world. She took a seat bouncing on the cushioned chair just for the hell of it. This definitely was a new standard for her. She picked up a glass and examined it, tapping it with her nail curiously.]

Too bad this place seems to be abandoned, I could really use a glass of wate-

[Just like that, the glass began to fill forcing the girl out of the chair and the glass out of her hand. It landed on the floor with a loud crash.]

Did that thing just...

[She moved to the table picking up another glass. Again, it filled up with water. She didn't drop it this time and instead brought it slowly to her nose. It smelled like water. She peered through the glass at that clear liquid. It looked like water. She slowly brought it to her lips and took a sip.]

It is water. [What the hell is going on here.] Where is it coming from?!

[Guess who is going to get all the glasses in the room filled with water at this rate...]

A year, close to a year and a half, now. A lot of people here have been around for longer.

A year is quite the time! [Hello, Alphonse. Guess who's her most interesting subject today. She leaned in curiously.] Please, I have so many questions about this world that remain unanswered. Perhaps you could answer them.

[Good thing Al doesn't mind a bit! He's quite happy to educate newcomers.] Yeah, I'm lucky that my brother has been here with me so I'm not alone. And I can certainly try! How much do you know already?

I know that this is not my world and that some consider it to be a dangerous place. I have yet to be told why.

It's the events that make things dangerous sometimes. Every few weekends, the world itself pulls on the memories of some people that are stuck here, and changes the mansion and grounds to reflect it in some way. Sometimes it's harmless enough, like a mass of puppies suddenly swarming the mansion, but there have been times that monsters appeared and attacked as well.

And you should know, people that die here are brought back to life. No one really tries to take advantage of it, because it still hurts to die, but it's something to keep in mind. If we die five times here, though, it changes us. I don't know that anyone here right now has died that many times, thankfully.

[This was a lot to take in! Memories altered and dead people didn't stay dead? Yeah, this is quite the world indeed.]

I never believed such things possible.

[Al grimaces in sympathy.] Trust me, I didn't either. Nothing like this is even remotely possible back home. That's another thing, everyone that's pulled here is from different worlds. --well, not everyone, since like I said my brother is here with me, but there's all sorts of beings here, not just humans.

Your brother. [So being in this world just a few days had given her a valid hypothesis on how the world worked. She was leaning on the basis of necessity. A brother needed their family more than they needed their friends. This really was feeding that theory.]

I'm glad you're not alone here. You seem to be faring well, you're not even worried.

I can handle just about anything so long as Brother's around. And honestly, between events it's pretty calm! I've been doing a lot of studying, catching up on advances in science in technology from other worlds and times.

[Wow, Alphonse. Where have you been all her life. Like seriously.]

Advanced sciences? Please, if it wouldn't be detrimental to your studies, could I perhaps accompany you in your scientific ventures!?

[Over in Amestris, gosh, where have you been?]

Hehe, it's no problem at all! The library is on the first floor, Brother and I are in there most days. Most of our actual experiments are with alchemy, though, and so far no one that isn't from our world has been able to perform that.

[Titan slaying and being perfectly adorable. Duh.]

I am not very well known in the arts of alchemy but I would like to learn. What have you made?
