Good morning, Wonderland Storybrooke!

Bill has announced his latest building project, and now it's time to take everyone on an exciting journey to a whole new world! The bulletin board has the prelude, and this post will give you all the information you need about the two-for-one curse/event deal your characters will unhappily be suffering from between October 24 and October 28!

Day 0: October 23

At 8:14 PM a magical curse is cast, and thick purple fog will roll over Wonderland. There's no stopping it, and it will cover every last inch of the place. It lasts for exactly one minute, and everybody in Wonderland will fall asleep under its power.

Welcome to Storybrooke

The next day all of Wonderland has become a small town in Maine, governed by their not entirely trusty mayor, Regina Mills. Nobody knows how she came to power, or just how long she's had her job. It's just the way things have been, just like how the town's clock tower has always been stuck at 8:15.

The inhabitants of Wonderland have had their memories and abilities (be they magic or otherwise) ripped away from them. Names may be changed, and people who weren't quite human will find themselves human for the duration of the event. In short, everybody has been given an entirely new life: A job, a home; all the important details necessary to keep a small town running.

And while a character's new life may have echoes of their old one, nobody actually remembers Wonderland, let alone their existence before it. As far as they're concerned, they were born in Storybrooke, and will spend their entire lives here. Nobody new ever arrives, nobody old ever leaves; any attempt to go over the town line will end badly, so best not to try at all.

Day 1: October 24

Quaint as the small town may look at first glance, life in Storybrooke is a far cry from idyllic. In fact, it almost seems as if everybody's personality or circumstances have been adjusted a little to prevent them from getting their happy endings (Whatever that might mean to each individual character). A few particularly unlucky individuals might even spend their days locked away in the Storybrooke Asylum beneath the hospital.

Yet on the night of the first day, after living out what seems to be the latest in a line of unhappy days that never change, the clock tower will strike 8:16. Have the rusted old innards worked themselves out, or is something else happening?

Day 2-3: October 25-26

Over the next days, things will suddenly improve. After having been stuck in a rut for so long, people will now find themselves with new confidence, and will finally be able to make a change in their lives.

In addition any passive abilities (enhanced senses, fighting skills, etc) of their forgotten lives will begin to return, though the knowledge necessary to use them to their full extent won't.

Day 4-5: October 27-28

At 8:15 PM on the fourth day, a pulse of energy will eminate from seemingly nowhere. It will continue to spread until it reaches the boundaries of the town. The curse has been broken, and everybody's memories of Wonderland and their true homes have been restored.

There is still a catch, however: All those years in Storybrooke won't fade easily, and characters will be stuck with two sets of memories. So who are they really? Snow White, or Mary Margaret? Their Storybrooke self, or whoever came before? Or are they both?

Aftermath: October 29

By October 29 Storybrooke has turned back into Wonderland. Any fake memories implanted by the curse will lose their prominence. They will be like every other memory of an event, and no longer cause confusion.

Neal Cassidy is NOT going to be cursed, since he's actually a canon character not affected by the original curse. :|b However I am happy to have people who know him and expect things of him? Like why didn't you show up to work or something. Open to suggestions! Otherwise he's going to be kissing his kid's forehead and getting drunk at the bar or something.

Looking for: friends, family, anyone! Make his fake life so awkward for him to deal with.

Pepper Potts (Virginia Stark) works for the city in the mayor's financial department. It's hella boring. She's actually pretty average, would follow her same routine anyway even if she weren't cursed, and oh yeah, used to be married but her husband died so there's that.

Looking for: friends! I'd like her to be alone on the family front in terms of kids, but siblings would be okay.

Zatanna Zatara (Anna Adams) is also unremarkable. She's a high school freshman and that's about as far as I've gotten with her. She's super friendly, probably very involved, and has nothing to do with magic at all. She probably doesn't even like the stage stuff. Background wise, her mother died when Anna was too young to remember her, and her father passed probably about a year ago, which has left her very heartbroken.

Looking for: adoptive family especially! Also friends, especially around her own age.

-if he were cursed, he'd work with Dean as a mechanic. He's going to be missing work. OOPS.
-Also has a petty criminal history but that was a long time ago. Is associated with Hook.
-Cursed self has been having banter with Elphaba. Will be getting a drunken kiss from her at the bar. Such macking, much awkward. Wow.

Pepper:
-At one point had very strong feelings for Bruce, but chose her former husband over him. Runs into Bruce constantly and will have a fling with him at some point during the event for reasons.
-Close friends with Bucky and Steve. Visits the hospital almost daily to make sure Bucky eats at least one meal.

Zatanna:
-Close friends with Katniss somehow

Katniss is going to be the recently turned twenty-one year old Kitty Archer for the duration of the event. She has an identical twin sister, Rachel. Lately, they've been easier to tell apart as Rachel's been dying her hair blonde. They also have a younger brother, Jake. It's a close knit family and has been since the death of their mother years and years ago, leaving Robin to raise the three kids. She's not the best at making friends outside of her siblings, but since meeting Zatanna, the girl has become one of her closer friends despite differences in age. Her days are normal for the most part: spending time with her siblings or at work at the fitness center, where she spends a lot of her time worrying and pining over her boss, Peter.


Looking for: friends, potential dates to get over unrequited crushes, clients to work with at the gym.

Hannibal Lecter will now be Dr. Henry Fell. GOING WITH THE OUAT SEASON 1 IDEA THAT STORYBROOKE IS THE HAPPY ENDING FOR THE VILLAINS so to speak, Hannibal is going to be the Storybrooke vet and his darling little sister MISCHA will be alive and well! She will be a student at the high school currently away on a camping trip, and Hannibal is active on the PTA.

So if your character wants to think they're friends with this girl that no one has actually met and doesn't actually exist feel free, it can give us reasons to CR! Also PTA. Also caring for farm animals and pets alike.

AS AN INTERESTING ASIDE, Hannibal is going to be suffering from a curse from Crowley which only starts now. He's going to notice something is up because he can't stomach food at all

Lilith will be becoming Lily Gardener, a local kindergarten teacher at the school. She's a very friendly, active member of the community. She's part of the PTA, active pie maker and often loves to invite people over. She is friendly and sweet and so eager to get to know others.

She's single, but I do want to give her a family. Something loving and perfect. It might be fun to give her a few romantic interests (or even just one.)

Lucifer is becoming Lucifer (Luke) Shurley. He is a fairly liberal politician who has come back to live in Storybrooke after a few years away. When not schmoozing for votes, he paints and a few of his paintings are floating around the area.

Accusations of corruption are thrown at him every now and then, but they are quickly silenced. By his goons the truth. He lives with his older brother, Michael.

In his younger days he may or may not have starred in a number of adult videos, in case your character is the type to peruse such things.

Alana Bloom is keeping her name, and getting a dog! She works with the Storyrbooke police as profiler. When not sizing you up to see if you are a criminal, she takes yoga classes and volunteers with the girl guides. She is a total foodie.

Sirius is going to be going about as Simon Bedlington. Everyone can laugh at him for being Simon again later. For now, he's going to be hiding out in Granny's because he ran away from home and has nowhere to go. In order to avoid drawing attention to himself, he's going to try and sleep on the streets/in alleyways at night butttt. It IS October. So people might want to offer him an alternative. :) When things start to shift back to normal, minor magical things will start happening around him like Harry disappearing the glass in the zoo in the first book. When his memories come back, he's going to have trouble deciding if he wants to be trapped in Wonderland with friends, or "free" in Storybrooke with nobody.

Beiste's new identity is Dorothy "Dot" Lyon. She lives in town with her son Bobby, who has RECENTLY GONE MISSING. Because of this she's taken off work as a sportsball coach at the school. Seeing as Bobby's dad isn't in the picture, she's the only one who can find him. And...he's all she has. So when Bobby shows up again, she's going to be spending most of her time trying to get him to remember who he is and, of course, who she is. Anybody who wants to catch her while she's taking a break from this will most likely catch her at her most vulnerable, since she has to be so strong for him. :( Beiste will feel much better about the idea of Wonderland in light of James remembering her there, but she also likes the idea of having a family, so abandoning Storybrooke as "fake" is going to be hard.

George has to go with her canon psuedonym, Millie Hagen. She's a recent college dropout living on her own. She's lost contact with her family and doesn't really have any friends. She works at the local temp agency and generally doesn't do much but read in her free time, so people might recognize her from the library. Basically, she excels at not giving a shit. Her powers aren't really "passive", since they involve removing souls, so I don't think they'll come back. When her memories come back, though, she's almost going to feel like they have to belong to a different person-- especially given all the shit about, y'know, dying and becoming a grim reaper. She's most likely going to seek out people who she remembers from Wonderland in order to confirm that she has the ability to make friends and do things.

I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER. Dealing with "Bobby" minus his memories is going to be tough because he'll probably naturally kind of question everything but still never really feel like any of this is right. I think I settled on him being missing for a few days before he's found, in my plot post? Something like that idk. BUT I wanted to tell you that you've got free reign to make up like, whatever about their family life and things for him to remember since he's never going to remember it anyway. :T

Also omg I forgot that their powers would slowly come back THAT'S GONNA BE FUN WITH A TEENAGE WIZARD IN THE HOUSE.

Anyway BEISTE IS GETTING A BIG HUG WHEN THE CURSE IS BROKEN HE'S SO SORRY THIS HAPPENED AGAIN. And if James hears u wavering Sirius he's gonna smack u and then be like "It's an event I'm pretty sure it's not giving us an option." But I mean. That'll be easy for him to say - he'll be one of the only ones in town with only one set of memories since he had amnesia. :T

Elijah Mikaelson will be Dr. Eli Michael so expect a lot of scruff and swagger. He's one of the infamous Michaels siblings in town. Their parents died a while back when they were kids. They have trust funds they live off, but Eli has always been a self made man. He actually worked multiple jobs when he went to college and medical school. He's always had a hard work ethic unlike his brother and sister. They all live together still, but Eli is hardly around to be honest. He is either in the hospital or in the diner that Beth Williams works in. He has a crush, but he's an idiot and just loiters while drinking coffee when he can.

Peter Hale will become Thomas "Tommy" Halliwell and he's nothing like his original self. He was a fisherman, but he had to find something on land after his daughter was born. He's a single dad to daughter, [insert Malia's Storybrooke name], and a good uncle to Cordelia Halliwell. His wife died while giving birth to his daughter and he almost didn't survive it. His big sister had to take care of his daughter for a few weeks, but he righted himself with God and his deceased wife. He still struggled, but he devoted his life to taking care of her. Peter is in construction now and he couldn't be happier with his life, but his daughter wants him to date. She tries to set him up constantly and Peter hates it. I do want Peter to have a date or something during this because just the idea of her being vetted by Malia before the date is hilarious.

Graham Humbert is himself. He's still under the curse though. He doesn't realize he's The Huntsman. He's the town Sheriff and apparently has a lot of officers. So weird. Anyways Graham has more personality because he doesn't have conflicting memories. He's friends with Mary Margaret and thinks he's still sleeping with the Mayor. When she turns him away he'll be lost. He also won't understand why Emma won't banter and flirt with him. Everything is gonna crash down around Graham a bit.

Sam Wilson will be Benjamin "Benji" Dutton an ex-con who is just trying to start his life over. He killed two men that murdered his younger brother Riley and got sent away when he was 18. He's been living with a friend and trying to get a job, but it's really hard for him. He's not really getting a lot of chances because of his status and the stories that swirl around about what he did. He's a good guy and just trying to go back to his life

Michael is going to be Michael Shurley. He's a local judge known for being a hardass and throwing the book at people whenever possible. Despite occasional rumors of corruption surrounding his rulings, nothing ever seems to come of it. His house is spotless, the lawn is impeccable, and you'll see him in church every Sunday.

He's brother to Gadreel (Gale), Castiel, and Lucifer (Luke); although currently living with the latter, he makes routine trips to the formers' shared house to badger them about their careers and life choices.

William Whele will now be Pastor William Whele. Not too much of a shock there. This time he's head of the church in Storybrooke and is extremely outgoing when it comes to charity events and community work, so if anyone has any kind of need of a priest feel free. Things like jail visits, hospital visits, the likes. William basically throws himself out there because his father never loved him and he craves the attention. That being said he's still polite, apparently kind, and will try to get along with everyone. Can't have the local pastor being a douchebag at ay rate, that just wouldn't do.

Vlad Dracula better known as Andrei Orlok, isn't going to be doing a lot. He'll be one of the village drunks, hurray. Most of his time will be spent propping the bar up, lamenting the tragic and untimely death of his wife. So if anyone wants CR with him then please feel free because I am not so full of ideas at 5am.

Kevin lived with his mother and was planning on getting out of Storybrooke and making it big somewhere, getting into an amazing college and jumping into a good career. He'd never known much about his father; his mother just told him that he had to leave town, but this was all before Kevin was born. Now his mother doesn't know where to find him.

As Kevin approached the time to apply for college, his mom got sick; her hospital bills ate up whatever money they had put away for college, and finally, she died. It was upon her death that Kevin was informed by [mumble mumble someone official] that his father was one Gale Shurley, and Kevin is now living with him as he works (at Crowley's tailor shop) to try to put money away for college, which is a dream that increasingly seems impossible.

While she still made good grades, she spent more time daydreaming and finding adventure where she could around town than in a lab somewhere. She didn't get into trouble, of course; her father is Officer Stephen Smith. Or, well, she didn't get into a lot of trouble. Nothing serious.

Now she's a professor of science at the community college. While she does like her students and she does enjoy teaching, she wishes she could find the time and the resources and the same spark she had when she was younger to delve into the science that has always called to her.

Carlos Sanchez had big plans, once. He worked his way single-mindedly up the educational ladder, eschewing unnecessary things like human company and hobbies and time spent in the sun until he finally had everything he’d always wanted. A doctoral degree. A job with a university. His team had just secured a grant for the type of research he had worked his entire life to perform. In short: life was perfect.

... right up until a misuse of said funding led to a scandal that ultimately had Carlos stripped of all good standing in the scientific community and left him without a job and a mountain of student loan debt.

He was only able to find a humble high school teaching job by calling up an acquaintance from his hometown- and even that took some string-pulling and a few white lies. Now he teaches a Biology class at Storybrooke High School, a perfectly fine job that he doesn’t hate… but it’s by rote. It’s strictly regulated. It’s a far cry from the life he’d had within his grasp, once.

The only positive part of it all was his relationship with Cedric Baldwin, a turn of events that surprised even him. Don't expect to see them around town together though, because they broke up months ago. It was messy. He doesn't like to talk about it.

No scientific career, no boyfriend, and no mysteries in his small universe left to explore: Carlos the Man Who Would Have Been a Scientist is more solitary than ever.

OKAY, SO, HERE WE GO.

Castiel is going to be Caston Shurley (most everyone except for some of his family calls him Cas), younger brother to Michael, Lucifer (Luke), and Gadreel (Gale). While his actual aspiration is to be an English teacher, Michael has been very strict about what Cas can do with his life, which means that instead he's working at the general store and being miserable and overall being a giant family disappointment. That's okay, because so is Gale, and they live together with some disabled pets from Gale's animal shelter -- oh, and with Gale's illegitimate son (Kevin). He'll be pretty intrigued by his powers as they start to return, because at least it's some spark of excitement in his life. It might even give him the confidence to stand up to his family, who knows!

Steve Rogers will now be David Roberts. He's his skinny self here, which means that he's been sickly pretty much since he can remember, but as of now he's got a case of terminal tuberculosis that leaves him confined to a hospital bed. Before he got really ill, he used to pick a lot of fights with bullies and wasn't particularly popular, so his high school sweetheart, James (Bucky), is his closest friend and one of the only ones he has. Interaction with doctors in the hospital would be great, and if you want to have it that he did get friendly with one of your characters despite his condition and general attitude, I'm sure we can work something out! But yeah. He's pretty much dying, it's awful. :c At least he'll start to get a little better as the days of the event go on.

Martha Jones will be Marissa Jacobs here in Storybrooke, and she does in fact work at the hospital. There's not a whole lot that's different about her, except that she finds the small town life extremely boring and she's looking for bigger and better things. She doesn't have the adventure that she needs in her life, and so she's on the verge of moving. She just... hasn't yet, for some reason. Maybe because she's in a steady relationship with someone (any takers?) and it's been hard to decide what's more important to her in the end. If you want to organize any predetermined friendships or family relations, let me know. I'd really like for her to have a steady boyfriend.

Eli is gonna be a doctor as well. They will be the sexiest doctors in Storybrooke. Be his best friend and tell him to stop being so weird about wanting to ask Beth Williams (diner waitress) out. Such a nervous little doofus.

I have Peter as well who is a single dad (to Malia) and construction worker. His wife died during childbirth and so he's been single and not dating since she was born. He does sleep with the school guidance counselor when she calls. Whoops. His name is Tommy Halliwell. Awesome uncle of Cordelia (Cora) as well.

calypso ( cassie flowers ) is going to be your stereotypical Nice Girl at the local high school. very sweet and easy to get along with, but often times lonely and off by herself. chances are she's at least said hello to your character/s once in awhile. she can usually be found tending gardens all around, or giving advice waaaay beyond her years, so basically i have nothing planned and i'm all ears.

so far i only have that she'll be friends with nico and have a big fat ugly crush on luke. very interested in everything!! grabby hands at the air

Captain Hook here may be from Storybrooke, but in the past he's been rather good at keeping himself from getting cursed. That means this'll be all new to him.



Meat Seamus Murphy. He's a bartender at a rather low-end bar called The Fish Hook and a petty criminal. He lost his hand in an old boating accident and wears a prosthetic. He has lots of dreams and desires and thinks of grand goals that he then... never accomplishes because he lost his determination and drive! So he never ends up doing any crimes on anything other than impulse or maybe a day of planning, though he can't help but steal when the opportunity arises.

I think I'll be giving him a different journal for the event so he can have different clothes....

So! Who wants to know him? He... probably still sleeps around like he would have pre-Emma/pre/post-Milah so that option's open though the other character would have to be one that takes the initiative since he lacks that intense seduction style he had before. BUT SOME PEOPLE MIGHT LIKE THAT BETTER SO IDK......

Also open to family, friends, partners in crime, bar patrons etc...

Cy will be known as Millie Chase. Stiiiiiill working on a PB for her, but I've pretty much got her backstory set.

Millie's a drifter who just barely graduated high school this year. She's technically 18, but like her usual self tends to act younger than she really is. She's still kind of teeny for her age. She's not too good at holding onto a job though she's been working on and off since she was 16 at various low level jobs. She's recently left the foster system so she's probably been couch surfing since then. SO. If anyone wants to be the person she's currently leeching off let me know? Depending on if anyone wants her to give her a Storybrooke job she may or may not be between jobs right now.

What she really wants to be is an artist, but she's honestly not as great as she thinks she is. She's still pretty weird, but probably a bit more there than her usual kitty self and a lot less cryptic. Also with 100% less mind reading, so yay for that.

Meet Gabriel Brodric and believe it or not he is twins with one Michael Brodric. The story goes, mom died when they were young, father left them to fend for themselves. They grew up looking after one another. Gabe went to college, quit part way through to chase his dreams of becoming a musician, failed miserably and fell on hard times. He got caught up in sex, drugs and alcohol, but was found by his brother and brought to storybrooke to give him a new start.

He's living with his twin since he has trouble making ends meet, but with his help he managed to get a job as a Music Teacher. It's hell on his hangovers but he does well with the children. Despite his reputation he's pretty good at his job. Though he can't quite kick the habit and can be found at any given watering hole most nights, others he's probably drinking at home.

Maybe you have kids in his class? Maybe you're a teacher? Maybe you've seen him at the bars or around town? Maybe you've heard of him? I'm down for anything if you'd like your character to be involved with mine in some fashion! I'm open to any ideas or suggestions!!

In the cursed life Neal is a mechanic with a history as a petty criminal, but he's gotten away from that life. Of course he's not cursed so he doesn't know that, but Theodora could still expect things.

So, I'm focusing on JAMES this event, because I have no idea what to do with Ellen. So, anyway...

Clarisse La Rue is going to be Clare Roads. She grew up in very strict military family so she's got #issues wrt self-worth and her place in her family. She has a lot of older brothers who conveniently do not live in Storybrooke because they're all in the military doing exciting military things while she's stuck in this lameass town barely passing her classes and generally getting into trouble and picking fights and hanging out with the wrong crowds because her home situation sucks balls. She does have a few friends in the form of Cora and Allison, but otherwise her school life sucks just as much as her home life. Emotional/physical abuse may or may not be a thing from dear ole dad, and mom is probably dead, so, yeah. She's angry at life and takes it out on everyone around her because that's what dad does!

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:
★ Brothers! Younger or older, doesn't really matter. Dad is an ex-military alcoholic, so he takes all his frustrations about his former glory days out on the kids and tries to live vicariously through his older sons who do him proud, etc. He's strict, sexist, and kind of a skeeze (he's definitely sleeping with a married woman, lbh). Some kind of solidarity between Clarisse and any bros that are still in Storybrooke would be cool.
★ A boyfriend (or girlfriend!) she'd be cheating on with Luke...

Becky Rosen is going to be Rebecca Bloom who is Charlie's ex and also Sam's resident stalker... She works in the local bookstore and is basically exactly the same as regular Becky — intense fangirl, socially awkward — she's just, uh, a little more overboard with the stalking part. She probably has an entire scrapbook of Sam photos that no one is ever allowed to see ever and she definitely has their whole wedding planned out, if she can ever get him to notice her... Her self-published book Burning Desires will be available for purchase in store and on Amazon.com and she'll be hosting her own signing at the bookstore SO YOU SHOULD ALL COME.

Kate Fuller is going to become Kate Davenport. Sister to Caroline White, and fallen golden girl. Born into an exceedingly tight knit family, Kate was the very definition of a good girl. Always doing as she was told, and managing to get (mostly) A's in school while doing it, she practically helped raise her adopted younger brother, Scott.

By all accounts, Kate was set for a bright future, until just before her senior year of high school, when a car accident claimed the lives of both of her parents.

The siblings were sent to live with their aunt, and Kate withdrew into herself, becoming sullen, moody. Her grades plummeted and her boyfriend was dumped unceremoniously. Scott started getting into fights at school, and a suspension led to stealing, little things at first, though the jobs he pulled got bigger as he got cockier. Kate didn't realize how bad the situation was until the day he was led out of the house in handcuffs.

With him gone, and Caroline married, as far as Kate is concerned, she's completely on her own.

Looking for: Basically anyone who wants to get involved in this mess, to be honest. Possible ex-boyfriend, friends/former friends, classmates. Maybe delinquent friends of Scott's she can bitch out for leading him down the wrong road, etc etc.

Robin Hood will be Robert Archer (I had to...), a widower and schoolteacher (because he's good with kids, it was the easiest job to pick for him). He has 3 kids: Kitty, Rachel & Jake, and he's mostly just...doing his thing. His personality won't have changed a whole lot, except he's maybe more subdued, sort of the quiet professor type, not really flirtatious or playful/joking as Robin would be.

Isaac Lahey is going to be Basil Wulff; a single very bad influence on any and all people around him. On top of anger issues and drug problems he has the unfortunate issue of wanting to fit in while at the same time not. He's the type of kid that you just wanna avoid at school because they end up getting you detention for standing next to them. He hasn't been able to keep a job and is often bouncing around town with a new one. Being a foster kid after his whole family died messed him up big time.

Damon Salvatore is going to be a soft hearted romantic - Carlyle Knight, never able to find the right person for him - an author and a poet who is struggling to make ends meet; he will be the complete opposite of his usual self and a lot more like he was before he was turned into a vampire.

When she was younger, a horrible bullying incident caused her to lash out violently against a classmate, nearly causing a fatality. As a result, she was locked up until the doctors decided it was safe enough for her to leave.

Unfortunately, whatever the doctors say, Sandra is convinced she doesn't deserve to be among normal people. She's terrified she'll just hurt someone else, and as far as she's concerned, she should never leave the asylum. If only she had a friend to love her...
