Hm...it's gotten colder all of a sudden, hasn't it? Though, I suppose that does happen in autumn. It's so much darker too, isn't it?

[He hums, thinking over this thought as though it's something particularly new to this season. It's not, but it feels...important, in a way Alice can't define.]

Autumn feels...almost unreal that way. Like the setting for a scary story by a fire. [Her face lights up that the thought!] Oh, wouldn't that be fun though? Does anyone have any spooky stories to tell?

Either way...we must be certain to close the doors. They shouldn't be even the slightest bit ajar! After all, we wouldn't the darkness to come inside and get us!

[And she twiddles her fingers at the screen, as if that's a particularly terrifying thought, but she ends the broadcast with a laugh - scary stories are so much fun, aren't they?]

[Brittany, unsurprisingly, didn't seem worried in the least. She had her winter wardrobe all set to go, a flashlight by her bed, and wasn't even afraid of the dark.]

[So, message aside, it was with a warm smile and a wave that she greeted Alice.]

Hey, girl!

Oh my gosh, this is such a coincidence. I was just talking about you, like, yesterday! How're your crayons doing?

[curiousher]

Brittany!

[Alice waves right back, all smiles. She doesn't seem to think there's much to worry about either, and just looks happy as can be to see her.]

My crayons are doing very well, and so am I! You were talking about me though? Really? [She doesn't sound offended though - just very curious and a little bit nosy.] Did you have good stories to tell?

[stoptheviolence]

Ya-huh.

There was that one guy who wanted people to color with. I gave him your name.

[curiousher]

Oh! You must mean Mr. John Blake!

[She doesn't explain how she knows that from such little information, but she doesn't need to either.]

I never knew he was much of a colourer! We've had tea a few times though, and he likes dressing up in costumes.

[stoptheviolence]

Who doesn't?

[Brittany, of course, thinking back to all those times at school when she and the rest of the Glee club would dress up for a performance. The more fashionable, the better. And she always rocked the hardest looks.]

[curiousher]

You have a point! Costumes are so much fun. Almost as much fun as colouring! ...Almost.

[And that's only because Alice really loves colouring.]

But what if you colored your costumes?

[curiousher]

[Gasp!]

You can do that? I know there's colourful costumes, but you can colour a costume?

[She sounds absolutely amazed at the possibilities. What a curious thing to try!]

I once wore a lobster on my head. A silver lobster.

If Lady Gaga could wear it, I say it goes.

[curiousher]

[She doesn't know who Lady Gaga is, but the idea of it is fascinating.]

A lobster! I didn't know lobsters came in silver! I think I'd like to wear a lobster, as long as it didn't pinch me - could mine be blue? A blue lobster would be just perfect, I think. Or would it have to be another animal? Do all sea animals come in silver?

[stoptheviolence]

I think foxes do? But if it's fake, anyway, I don't see why it can't be any color you want it to be.

[curiousher]

Oh, it's fake?

[She sounds a little disappointed, as if she wanted a real life sea creature on her head, but it doesn't last long.]

Blue would be the best colour, I think! It would match my dress perfectly!

[stoptheviolence]

Well, yeah.

You don't want to wear a real animal. Unless it's, like, a live snake or something. Otherwise, that would be animal cruelty.

[curiousher]

Oh. [She seems satisfied with that explanation.] A snake might be nice then! A blue snake. A blue and silver snake! Do those exist? I really hope so.

[stoptheviolence]

Probably. Snakes come in all sorts of colors. That's why they make great accessories.

[curiousher]

I never would have thought of that! Though I suppose they would wrap quite nicely.

[stoptheviolence]

I hear wrapping is one of the things they do best.

It's amazing none of them have ever tried to come out with an album before.

[curiousher]

I'd love to listen if they did! Though I suppose it would mostly be SsssSSsssSSsssssSSSSSSsssssSSsss-

[And she continues like that for a full minute.]

[And Brittany listened the entire time.]

I didn't know you could speak snake.

Mm-hm! I'm nearly fluent now, I think. Sssss!

Do you think you can teach me? Snake sounds so much easier than Spanish.
