[Souji spent the first day of the event scouring the inn and the surrounding area to see to what extent Wonderland had tried to recreate it. Right down to the seals over some of the doors, the inn itself is almost perfect. Almost.
There's no better word than "moping" for what he spent the rest of yesterday doing, but now it's the second day and he feels up to addressing the network. And after a day of watching James and Sirius completely flounder at things like wearing ayukata robe properly and using chopsticks and sleeping on a futon, he thinks he probably needs to. Everyone is being subjected to his memory and he can at least offer some...cultural assistance to those who might want it.]
This is my event. [Gotta start somewhere.] This is the Amagi Inn and the town down the hill is Inaba. It's too bad you can't get to it--it's nice there.
[For Souji, this is rambling, so he gets back on track.]
I know most people in Wonderland right now aren't Japanese. If you need someone to explain how to do things here, I don't mind answering questions.
...Though it doesn't really matter, I guess. [It's not like there's any penalty for stabbing your food with your chopsticks, even if it's kind of impolite.]

He nods in response to her second question.] Just for a year.

What made you move here? Or away.

( It had to have been nice to be able to stay somewhere semi-familiar instead of moving countries when his parents went overseas )

Their work assignment was only for a year, so they asked my uncle to take care of me.
no subject
( Nice little place to live or preferring home and parents. It would definitely be a hard choice if you had the right relationships )
no subject
[Staying would have troubled his uncle, and his parents hadn't asked for his opinion.]

[He peers through the trees at the town.]
It might be nice to teach at the high school.
no subject
( Although that might be more to do with the fact that a lot of them end up killed through the supernatural nature of Beacon Hills. It's a unique problem )
What would you teach?
no subject
[He wouldn't mind any subject, actually--he's pretty good at all of them, and he likes them all pretty well, too.]
What are you thinking of doing after school?
no subject
( There's a pause, and a frown that only last for a couple of seconds. It's been a long while since Lydia's thought about what she's going to do after school. Before the supernatural business started in Beacon Hills she had clear goals. Those are still her dreams, but lately she's wondered more about whether her and her friends will even make it to graduation. Some already haven't )
Originally? Math. I want to win the Field's Medal. Not through teaching, more in practical applications. Development, theory. It's an big field.
( That would all have meant leaving Beacon Hills. Can she still do that? )
no subject
[Souji sometimes wishes his goals were that clear. Life has always seemed like some kind of dream or game to him, like it wasn't completely real.
He slowed to a stop.]
It doesn't seem like we're getting anywhere. Maybe we should head back.
no subject
( In this case it only wanted them to enjoy the spa, and considering there was enjoyment in that it wasn't the worst thing in the world. At least they'd had a bit of a walk even if they hadn't seen anything )
But I suppose what we have is still okay.
( She gave a small shrug before turning around to walk back )

What happened?
( Because you can't just tell half a story now )
no subject
[It was that bad.]
no subject
( Because boys will be boys or something. But if they're trying to poison someone- well they need showing something )
no subject
[That probably bears some explanation.]
I got shoved in a river.
...Then my teacher started to throw up in the water upstream.
[He feels gross remembering it.]
no subject
Please tell me you got out first.
( Before. You know )
no subject
...Let's talk about something else.
no subject
How long do you think we'll be here for? I wouldn't mind if Wonderland stayed like this.
no subject
[Souji looks up the hill toward the inn, which they're approaching much more quickly than he expected. It's almost like they had been walking in the wrong direction on a moving sidewalk, and now they've turned around and are walking in the correct direction.]
I do like it here, but I think it would feel a little stifling if it stayed this way too long.
no subject
( Someone needs to get her spa game on )
We got back here quickly. ( FROWN )
