Am I getting this right
is this
Oh I think I'm getting it
[Would you look at that, it's baby's first attempt at sending a network message! His words seem to be going through just like how he's seen other messages work--so far, so good.
Next time Anders will practice with the 'delete' key. For now, he'll focus on getting his point across with proper punctuation.]
Bear with me, this isn't how I'm used to exchanging letters but it's exceptionally handy for picking a bunch of brains at once. I'm curious to know more about the little girl with the cat. You know the one--Alice. From the Wonderland book? Has no eyes now, portends events?
What's the story behind her? Was she an actual person from some other land who was brought here like the rest of us?
Those scenes suggest this isn't the first mansion of its kind, but what happened to her?

I hope her eyesight had a good going rate, too.

she's fictional where i come from. which is probably the answer you got the most, right?

I'm still working on the getting information part. I've heard a thing or two about the book being nothing more than make-believe since coming here, but it's not a story I'd heard of beforehand.

[ faith pls ]

But now that this one's come alive? I'm willing to take it a little more seriously.
[Your average drug trip has an end point. This one seems ready and willing to go on indefinitely.]

i mean
they fell out of the sky dude

Missing the point a bit, but thanks for sharing.

And if they mean something, why show us now? It seems like more than a random light show.
[He's pointedly keeping the focus on Alice and not whether the other "memories" are real or fake. That's too much thinking, most of it morbid.]

i figure it's like pick-pocketing. you know-- look over here while we take your cell phone. trot out the cute girl in her cute dress with her eyes? that's sure to get everyone's head in one direction at once.
no subject
And what's the misdirection covering?
[A rhetorical question, for the most part, but on the off chance his new electronic pen pal has an answer, he's all ears. All eyes? No, wait, that's even worse considering they're talking about an eyeless little girl.]
no subject
anyone know what caused it, even?

People other than me must do the talking about cores because this is the first I've heard of one. Sounds important. That what's powering this magical vacuum?
I had no idea starts COULD fall, but I wonder if it was a random accident or something else. Everything that happens here seems to have a purpose behind it, and it'd be nice to know how Alice ties into it. She acted like she knew an event was coming before it happened, and then the spitting image of her is projecting in the entrance hall? It's strange, is what.

she does that, kinda her thing. still not sure those were actual stars though -- figure some high power magic or something. fancy work either way

[Because how knowledgeable is a kid named Dipper going to be really?]
Aren't you curious why that is? If those loops had some truth behind them?
[Maybe Anders is reading too much into the Alice of the present and the Alice of the possible past, but he feels like there's something--or several somethings--that he's missing before he can begin to sit comfortably with any of this.]

and no
no subject
And not even a bit curious? Just a teensy bit?
no subject
nope. what would the answer to that get me?
no subject
[No one's forcing Faith to take the lead on escape planning, but a little enthusiasm would be nice.]
Learn more about what's going on and maybe stop it? I'm spitballing here, but if Alice used to be like us once upon a time, I'd rather know what happened to her so that I can keep it from happening to me. I like my eyes. They're my best feature.
[Self-preservation is a pretty strong motivator.]

my time? better spent dealing with the punches as they come in
no subject
[Because that's what it takes to solve a problem, generally speaking, but then again Anders has never really been content to sit on his hands and let the punches come in as Faith says. He'd rather get out of reach of the figurative arm doing the punching, or break it.]
Whatever works for you. These cryptic mysteries of Wonderland's are getting old for me--I'd like some answers for once.

[Things are dire when blood magic starts to look like a viable solution.]
So what's your take on Wonderland? Even if you're not interested in the story behind Alice or this pandemonium with the stars, you must have some thoughts on what's going on.

My thanks for the info. I'm sure it'll come in handy.
