[ The comm is propped up against a paint can, and Sharon sits in front of it. Her hair is askew; tendrils have escaped from her ponytail. Wet trails testify to not only how much dust is on her face, but also how much she's sweated.

Sharon Carter does not admit defeat often, but when she does, it's because she's in over her head. Disastrously in over her head. ]

So. [ Her voice is tired. She wipes her forehead with a forearm, leaves a smudge in its wake. ] I mentioned a while ago that I wanted to get some training sessions off the ground. There was enough interest that I realized we would need a bigger space than the gym.

There were some rooms available on the first floor that I've taken over. And that's where the problem came in.

[ She leans forward and tilts the feed toward a hole in the wall. A sledgehammer rests against part of the wall that hasn't been knocked out. She turns the feed back toward herself and blows some hair out of her face. ]

I don't suppose there are any construction people here.

[he's answering before Chuck beats him to it just to be an asshole.

Sharon could have asked for anything else and Raleigh probably would have ignored it, especially considering the shape he's been in this week but.. Well how can he when it's the one thing he's even good at. He logs into the video feed and gives a half wave. Man this is more awkward than chat roulette.]

[ Sharon leans back with a groan, then realizes she's forgotten two valuable things - turning off the comm before she collapsed on the floor, and telling him where she was so he could come help her. ]

Rooms 117 and 119.

[ Her hand fumbles to turn off the device, then hesitated, the camera catching little more than a large, blurry hand. ]

Does that mean you know how to put in windows, too? Asking for a friend.

[ She is the friend. The friend is her. Obviously. ]

[ Sharon groans from where she's slid down on the floor. ]

I'm willing to share. I would offer you the sledge hammer, but it's all the way over there. [ A hand pops up and waves haphazardly toward the rest of the room. She's been at this for days, Faith. Days. And construction is hard.

Which she isn't going to tell Faith out loud, because Faith is exactly the sort of person who would say, "That's what she said." ]

[ ...did someone say sledgehammer? ]

Tell me where I'm going and I'll be there after I finish lunch.

You know that you could just let the creepy mansion magic take care of all that, right? I mean, sure, it's not quite as therapeutic as beating the crap out of a good chunk of stucco, but it does get the job done.

I've done a few but I'll be honest it's not my forté. I'll help how I can, though.

[ She pauses. ] And you'd better let yourself in. If I have to crawl over to the door, it's going to take a week.

Room 117 and 119.

[ She pauses. ]

Room one-senineteen. One-sine-teen.

Just... let yourself in, damn it.

why did you wait until now to mention this

[ha.]

Sure, gimmie ten.

[And true to his word Raleigh drags himself down the hall a few minutes later, stopping to grab a bottle of cold gatoraid.

He lets himself in, tossing the bottle from one hand to the other and gives a low whistle.]

You still alive in here?

[ She groans and pushes herself up off the floor. ]

Too sore to be dead, so I'm going to go with yes.

[ She manages to get to her feet and sighs. Her muscles ache. ]

I swear I can handle this. Or I could if I knew what I was doing.

[He gestures a low underhand toss with the bottle he brought before actually throwing it for her. Nice and cold, there you go. Good neighbors and all.

Raleigh plants his hands on his hips and surveys the damage.]

Well, judging from the size of that hole I should make a note to never pick a fight with you. Do you have any plans drawn up or are we just winging it?

[ She's quick enough to catch the bottle, but then she looks at it in surprise. He'd brought her a drink? That had been... unexpected. Nice, and unexpected. And it's even a cold drink.

She feels a little bad for being such an asshole to him during Wirt's event.

She offers him a grin before she takes a sip. ]

I'm better with my fists than a sledgehammer. [ She isn't boasting, either. That sledgehammer is heavy. She could only use it in spurts.

She waves her hand around the room. ]

First, this wall goes. I've got some weapons to put up on the wall for people to practice with. Four mats. [ She points to where they'll go, then looks around the room with a sigh. ] I'd like windows into the hall, but I'm not going to be a stickler for them if I can't get them. Probably close off one of the doors, though. Try and lower the odds of someone coming in and getting kicked in the face or something.

[To be fair he and Chuck weren't on their best behavior during that event either, though he was so sleep deprived during that he hardly remembers it.]

I had been wondering what all the noise was.. [He says but smiles and listens and nods, following her hand as she points.]

Mmm, mmhm. Like big, plate glass windows.. or maybe a thick plexi so someone doesn't go through them? I'd thought you meant exterior windows. Something interior shouldn't be much trouble.. we'll just have to make sure they aren't load bearing.

[Raleigh turns and backtracks a few feet to inspect the wall, rapping it with his knuckles in a few places.]

If the wall is structural and we take that much of it out, the ceiling could give.

[Tap, tap tap.]

Sounds like they're mostly hollow, though. Should be okay.

[ faith doesn't knock or poke her head in, she just waltzes. she then realizes she chose the wrong room and re-waltzes because when you make a mistake like that you just hope nobody saw and keep going. ]

Yo, you alive in here? Having a stroke?

Well, at the risk of digging up an old cliche: You didn't ask.

[ And Philip wasn't in the loop on any exciting new gym building plans, otherwise-- Otherwise he might've not bothered sending a note either way, but hey, a chance is a chance. ]

Sorry. I'd love to help, but I got banned from construction work at Abel after the unfortunate incident with the chisel.

If there's anything else I can do though...

[ She takes a moment to picture what could happen if someone gets kicked through a glass window and cringes. ]

Plexiglass, definitely.

[ She backs up to look (or glare, if she's being accurate) at the wall, a hand resting on her hip. She nods. ]

Oh, I know about loads.

[ Yep. She had definitely knocked on the wall before trying to take it out. She'd knocked on it with the sledgehammer, but it still counts, right? ]

Okay. So... [ She takes another deep drink from the bottle. ] What do we do now? I can get another sledgehammer?

[ Sharon starts to sit up, wonders why she's bothering, and falls back on the ground. She makes a face at Faith. ]

I'm not having a stroke! I'm having an existential crisis.

You can join me after you put in time with the wall.

[ Sharon groans and rubs her temples. After a couple minutes, she grabs the comm and fumbles to send a text off again. ]

OK spill. How do I make the creepy mansion magic break its own back instead of mine?

Oh, isn't that convenient. Sure, sure. "Banned."

How are you at carrying mats?

[ she lets out a low whistle as she turns to take in the room, and ends on the damage. ]

You want it down, yeah? Cause fixing stuff really isn't my area of expertise.

[ which, despite the fact that she hasn't shared her calling with sharon is probably actually a pretty damn obvious thing, huh? ]

[He drops his hands and steps back from the wall, dusting them off and nodding.]

Guess so. But we could cut all this plasterboard out with a chainsaw a lot faster. Just gotta mark out where the windows'll go.

Then we frame'em up and install. Piece of cake.

[You know, in theory.]

It's a big deal. We only have limited medical supplies. That was when we were still tearing up sheets to use as bandages. I could have lost a finger!

I can do that. I'm not completely out of shape.
